Well, I guess we are glad that Friday is over. We went to Temple Texas to meet with the eye doctor Friday, and the weather people were saying it was foggy in that area so we left early. We did not see any fog, we got there early, and we sat and waited in the vehicle. We checked in and got into the doctor a few minutes earlier than scheduled. They tested my favorite wife’s eyes, they dilated them and also took a couple pictures inside her eyes. We talked with the doctor for a while and then headed home.
Having her eyes dilated, she did not go to town Friday, and it is not good to get her off her schedule. We basically sat at home until later in the afternoon, when I went and picked up the kids after school. Back at home we got ready to go to a viewing of a friend who had passed away. Funerals and viewings or visitations, which ever word you use, are not anything that I like.
There is one big concern, our ole cat Charlie has disappeared. We have no idea where he is or if he is ok. He did this one time before, and was gone for about 3 days, then he showed up here at the homestead.
That was yesterday, now let us consider today.
Today, our sons and their families are supposed to come over, and we will all go out for lunch to celebrate Mother’s Day. We usually have some good conversations, along with enjoying the good food. It is always good to have family around.
