Good morning to all, we hope your day is starting out well. To that one person who reads this in the afternoon, good afternoon to you also and we hope your evening is starting out well.

Yesterday’s activities were minimal: we sat around doing nothing, we had chicken for lunch, we ventured into Waco and went to the cheap store for a couple items that my favorite wife wanted. We also went to the hardware store and got a couple items, one that I needed and one that she needed.

Back at home we sat outside for a while on the front porch. As usual the neighborhood was quiet and I do think the flower bed that I removed the weeds from looks a lot better now, even though no one has said that to me. In our neighborhood most people keep their lawns mowed and the yards look good. I have noticed that when we drive through a neighborhood and someone’s yard is not mowed it catches our attention. Not everyone has the time or sees a need to mow. We have some real nice neighbors on our street; our neighbors are always willing to help each other!

I have no plans for today although it is date night (dinner out) and we will, as usual, go out for some food this evening. I do need to pull more weeds from several flower beds, but I am not sure I want to get out in the heat today.

We are getting close to the holiday; we hope your holiday plans include family and friends. If you have some good food that would also be nice. If you are travelling, be careful.

I will stop and take a break from all this data entering, we hope you have a blessed day and we all stay safe in all we do.

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow.

Another Good Morning to you and we hope everyone has a good day.

First time ever! My gold card from the Star Coffee company has zero money on it. I have had the gold card and have used the gold card for I think 14 years. Over the years I would get gift cards for the Star Coffee, and I would transfer the money from the gift card to the gold card, and I also at times just took cash and had them add it to the card so I could get the points for free drinks.

Tuesdays happenings: the day started off normal, I worked on my notes for the posting then a short nap and my bible reading. I had a quick lunch, and I vacuumed the carpets as the dog does leave hair everywhere. Housework completed I went to the shed where I procured the knee pads and a couple other items and then I went to the Jasmin / flower bed where I got on my knees. Now this time I was not on my knees for prayer, although I need it, I was ready to remove weeds.

I crawled around on my hands and knees for more than an hour pulling weeds. In truth what I am referring to as weeds is in fact grass. The grass that is in our yard (St. Augustine) will pop up anywhere.

As I had noted in an earlier post, the ground was wet which made it easier to get the weed and the root most of the time. About halfway done I took a break on the front porch for a few minutes and that is when I observed a delivery truck making a delivery to the neighbor lady’s house. They unloaded a large carton about 5 feet tall that they left on the walk near the front porch. More about that delivery later.

I finished pulling the weeds and took the weeds to the trash container where I took a photo. You may notice that the container was full.

Tools put away I was allowed to take a very nice shower. When my ole body was again clean, I went to the Ford’s ole recliner with a large glass of water and I began to rest. Yep, I took a nap and when I woke up, I suggested to my favorite wife that we could sit outside for a while.

I went outside to see if there was a breeze on the front porch and I noticed the neighbor lady and her two grand kids were at the very big box. I could tell they were considering moving the very large carton across the yard (about 50 feet) to the driveway. I walked over and told her I had seen them deliver it. She said they were supposed to leave it in the driveway. I asked what it was and she said a gun-safe which weighs 240 pounds. Well, I knew that she and the grand kids would not be able to move the gun-safe, especially across the yard. I offered to help saying we should take it down the walk to the street then up the street to the driveway using a two-wheeler.

We were able to get it to the drive way with out incident, we place it in the garage and I was able to bring the lady and the two kids back to our house where we wanted the lady’s grand daughter to see the painting she had made which now had a light that flashes on it. They came over and talked with my favorite wife and looked at the painting with the light on it.

My favorite wife and I sat on the porch where I decided to make a pizza for supper. My favorite wife was going to cut up lettuce so we could have a salad with the pizza, but she found that I had mistakenly purchased a cabbage and not lettuce. We had Pizza but no salad. I was allowed to clean up in the kitchen and wash the dishes after supper.

Today’s events: basically, no plans for the day, we will see what happens.

I am stopping for now; we hope your day is filled with blessings and that we all stay safe in all we do. Staying safe is a blessing.

June 30, 2026

This is the last time for this post, that is for this month, I hope I can continue next month, and we hope you have a good morning.

As I had stated in yesterday’s post, I pulled weeds, but I didn't do a good job. I should have watered the day before so that the roots come out of the ground easily. I was able to get around on my knees with the knee pads, so that worked out well. There were several drones flying over as I was pulling the weeds a little after 7:00am.

I was allowed to have a shower afterwards to get the bugs off me.

Was able to do my Bible reading after I had cleaned up and rested for a few minutes.

Reading completed, I then went to the store as I wanted to use the money that was on the OTC card. The OTC card funding should be renewed on the first of the month. I also got a few grocery items while I was at the store and then I came back home.

About 11:00 I decided to get a couple hamburgers for our lunch, and they were not very good.

The cleaning lady came and did a nice job of cleaning the house.

I was able to sit on the front porch with the cigar for a while.

This was the last day for that cigar, and I will now wait a couple weeks before I use the other one. While I was on the porch, I heard the sound of a rocket being test fired. It wasn’t too loud yesterday; the loudness of the rockets often depends on the direction of wind.

I was asked what our plans were for the 4th of July holiday. I being and ole senior person do not have any plans for the holiday like real people do.

I went out and watered the plants in the flowerpots out front, and I watered an area of a flower bed. I want to attempt to remove weeds from that area of the flower bed today.

Today’s plans: pull some weeds and then possibly shred a bunch of ole bills and other papers that have our info on them and after that, do nothing.

I will stop for now, we hope you have a blessed day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow.

June 29, 2026

Is it morning again? I think it is, a good morning, maybe I should look outside and see…

Did anything happen Yesterday: not much, we did get Alex and went to lunch, we came home and Alex mowed and trimmed the front yard. Alex and I washed the dog, then Alex went home.

My favorite wife found a bracelet that is mine. I have a photo of the bracelet.

When you see the bracelet, you should notice that my name is engraved, and that it is from HWI (Hardware Wholesaler Inc). HWI was the company name before it changed to Do it Best. I assume this was a service award that has been in one of our drawers for years. I don’t know when it was given to me. I believe it was for a number of years’ of service, possibly 5 or 10 years.

I was allowed to go out front with the cigar and puff a few times. There is still enough for one more lighting of the tobacco.

We did sit out on the front porch, and we noticed that not one vehicle had driven down our street. We were on the porch for about 1.5 hours and there were no vehicles and no one walking. We know that most all of our neighbors are retired, and I guess ole retired people stay at home.

Today: I have pulled a few wees from a flower bed and I stirred up some fire ants. I need to go to the store this morning to get a few things, the cleaning lady is coming today about noon.

Ok I kept this one short, so you have time to do something fun. We hope you have a blessed day, and that we all stay safe in all we do.

June 28,2026

Good morning from us to you, we hope all have a good day.

Events on Saturday: basically, shopping and walking were the major events. We had decided to go shopping for a cane as my favorite wife’s rehab person suggested that she get a cane and learn to walk with it. We have an OTC card (that is a card from our Medicare provider) to help us purchase medication items over the counter. Evidently the cane is not an item you can purchase with the card, or canes are not needed by handicap individuals.

We went to the store which had canes (not all the drug stores have them) and we walked from the front of the store to the back. This store was a huge store, and my favorite wife was walking using the walker. We found the cane she wanted, and they would not accept the OTC card as payment. I had to pay with my credit card. As usual I have a photo.

We made it back to the car parked in the handicap parking space.

It was now noon o’clock, so we headed to the sandwich shop for a lunch sandwich. Food eaten, we decided to go to the cheap store and see if they had anything we needed. We again walked through many of the aisles in the store and we purchased nothing.

Leaving the cheap store, we headed toward home, but my favorite wife wanted to go to another store (one of the dollar stores) just to see what all they had. Again, we walked up and down all the aisles just looking at the items. We purchased two items for a total of $2.75.

Back at home we both got on our ole chairs and rested for a while. Now, my favorite wife has suggested that we should walk up and down the street a couple times every day just to help her with her walking. I say that we did all the necessary walking by going to the stores today.

We sat outside yesterday afternoon, there was a lot of wind, so we sat on the front porch. I did get the cigar out and puffed on it a couple times. We saw a small yellow bloom from a weed in the Jasmin bed. The bloom is about the size of a pencil eraser.

As I was taking the above photo I noticed that we had other yellow blooms on the silver dust plants around the tree, and yes there is another photo.

I did watch some of the three stooges TV show yesterday when we came back into the house.

Today we plan to go to the cracker store for lunch, and we will take our yard man Alex (grandson) with us. After lunch he will mow the front yard here at the Ford’s homestead.

I will attempt to stop for a while, we hope you have a blessed day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

June 27, 2026

I am awake and it seems as if it is a good morning for us here in Hewitt, and we hope it is also a good morning for you.

Yesterday: I did not get on my hands and knees and pull weeds from a flower bed as I remember that the lawn sprinklers had sprayed water yesterday morning and the grass was wet. I decided to get the string trimmer and trim the back yard. I have a photo of some odd growing grass.

The photo is of a traffic cone that is about 30 inches tall and has been in the back yard for many years. This is the first time I can remember having seen weeds growing up through the top of the cone. I removed the cone and cut the weeds.

The trimming took some time and then I decided to prune a couple plants including removing a few lower limbs from the live oak tree. I need to do some serious trimming on the tree but that will be another day. I put the tools away and headed into the house to get a shower.

I was able to wash my ole body, shower taken I decided to get a short rest and a cool down period, then get some clean clothes on as we were planning to go to town for a couple of items. It was 11:00 when I was dressed and ready to go to town but there was a different plan occurring. My favorite wife was going through her desk and removing items that did not need to be there and then reviewing the items that she would keep.

I went outside to the front porch and puffed on the cigar for a few minutes, as usual there is a photo to see. Two things about the photo: first the cigar is not from Cuba; it is from the Dominican Republic. Yes, I know both countries are out in the ocean. The cigar is still handmade and good. Second you can see a ring that was given to me for 35 years working for the same company. Actually, I worked there 39 ¾ years, nope I did not get a 40-year ring.

Back in the house my favorite wife was still going through things at the desk, so I just got onto the Ford’s ole recliner and did nothing for a while. After a rest period I came in here to the Ford’s ole computer and started putting this post together. At 2:45pm I went in to see if my favorite wife was going to stay home or go to town. She was going to town with me but not yet. She continued her desk work, she was going through cards she had received in years past, ole photos and other paper work.

At 3:45pm we did leave the Ford Homestead and head into town. It was a Friday afternoon, and every vehicle was on the road. I have no idea why that many people were out and about, maybe they were also wondering why we were out and about. Went to the first store and got the item my favorite wife wanted. This store had all kinds of fourth of July decorations, but they did not have a flag.

Went to the second store and got more items for my favorite wife and I purchased a new American flag. This flag is 3 X 5 feet, and I do have a photo.

I do have another flag, but it is larger and I think it is too heavy for the flagpole. You may have noticed in the photo that the wind was blowing.

We arrived back home at about 5:00pm. We did sit outside for a while yesterday afternoon and as usual the neighborhood was very quiet.

Today’s options: we may go to a different store today as there is still an item we would like to get, and we might go to the cheap store just to see if we need anything.

I am stopping for now, we hope you have a blessed day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

June 26, 2026

Here in Hewitt the morning seems to be starting off good, so we say, “Good Morning”.

Yesterday’s normal activities: I did get a short nap before bible study, yes, I study alone. Studying (aka reading) completed I left the homestead and went to the store as we needed a couple items, yes one of the items was ice cream.

Returning home I was allowed to put items away, and then we ate lunch which I had purchased at the store. Food in my belly I then approached the Ford’s ole recliner and took a short nap.

After the rest period I did took a break from all the stressful work and I took my Cuban cigar outside to the front porch and lit it. I puffed on it for a short while then I took a photo.

I cut the end off to save it for today. The Cuban cigar will last me at leas five days. Yes, it is like a toy for me.

In the afternoon I went out and got the riding mower out. After checking the oil, adding gas, and checking the air in the tires I stated the riding mower and made a test run. I wanted to know at what level I wanted to mow. Photo to follow.

After the test run my favorite wife and I went out for supper and as usual it was good. Back at home it was time to sit outside so I decided to mow the back yard and left my favorite wife sitting there all alone while I work in the heat.

The mowing is finished; the yard still needs to be trimmed and as usual I have another photo. There is some difference between the previous photo and this photo.

Today: I plan to get the string trimmer out and trim the back yard, I might attempt to get on my hands and knees and pull weed from the flower beds. I don’t know how my knee will do when I get on the ground.

Well, it is time for me to stop and get started. We hope you have a blessed day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

June 25, 2026

Good morning again, from us here in Hewitt, we are expecting another hot day.

Note: my computer will correct my errors in spelling and wording, but I do become unhappy at times because I use words the way I want to and not the way it wants to.

Yesterday: my favorite wife and I went into Waco where we had lunch and then we went to a grocery store and purchased a few items. Back at home my favorite wife was working on a doll which she was repairing, while I got on the Ford’s ole recliner and rested.

We did go out and sit on the front porch yesterday afternoon, yes, it was hot but there was a very nice breeze which helped make it comfortable.

Now the big item that was observed as we kicked back on the front porch other than the fact that the neighborhood was very quiet and the fact that a neighbor lady who lives a few houses up the street did not follow her normal procedure.  What? Oh, her normal procedure is to come home from work, park her vehicle in the garage, walk to the mailbox, and get the mail then go into her house. Yesterday she just got out of the vehicle and went into the house. Yes, it seems as if we keep an eye on the neighborhood.

Now what was I attempting to state, oh, the big thing yesterday. It was the number of drones that went over while we were on the front porch. In truth, I did not count them, but there may have been as many as 20 drones delivering packages for Amazon. Also, there was an Amazon truck that came down our street and made a delivery.

Lawn mower with lights: I did go online and the electric mower like our neighbor has, does have lights on it. So, being electric, which makes it quiet, and having lights, a person could mow in the cool darkness of the night and not bother the neighbors.

Today’s possibilities: we might make another trip into town as my favorite wife would like to get an item, and then we will do our usual Thursday evening event and go out for supper (aka date night).

Well, I guess I should stop for now, we hope you have a blessed day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

June 24, 2026

Good morning to all, the morning seems to be starting off nice here in Hewitt TX.

Review of yesterday’s events: would you believe this review is done to help me see if I can remember what we did yesterday and not so much to inform you of the events?

My favorite wife and I had decided to go out for breakfast yesterday morning and it was very good service and the food was also good. Following our meal, we headed over to the store to see if we could purchase some makeup for my favorite wife. We were able to find the items that she needed but we also wanted an item called broccoli salad (that's food) and they did not have any.

Returning home we took it easy for a while, allowing the food to settle in our bellies. Having a late breakfast means that I would not need to make lunch. Wow, some rest for the old senior Ford.

Rest period over I began my Bible reading as usual and during this time of reading I received a phone call from a neighbor wanting to know if we would be interested in having some tomatoes and squash. Naturally I said yes and headed out across the street to get the garden-fresh vegetables. The vegetables mean a good salad for supper.

My favorite wife and I ventured outside about 3:30 in the afternoon as usual just to get away from the TV and see what's going on in the neighborhood. There wasn't much going on in the neighborhood, there was very little traffic, we didn't see any people outside, the birds weren't even making a lot of noise when they first went out there. The birds decided to make noise later.

As usual when I'm sitting outside, I find things to do so I remembered that I needed to water the flowers in the flowerpots. I was able to drag my ole body out of my chair and went out and watered all the flowerpots. Since I was up and working, I also carried the recycled items out of the house to the recycle bin.

Red, white and blue. I have a photo showing the red, white and blue presented by nature. In the photo we see red and white bushes and the sky was blue.

As we set outside, I noticed drones flying over making deliveries from Amazon. When I saw a helicopter fly over, I thought, “that helicopter is flying low probably going to the hospital with someone who was injured in it’”. What happens if a drone accidentally flies into the helicopter?

Well, since my mind was working, I looked up and saw some buzzards floating around up high in the sky and I thought to myself, as hot as it is down here and they're floating around up there with the sun shining on their back are they hot or is it cool up there.

Now the oddest thing that happened yesterday actually happened last night. You should read this and understand what I'm saying at about 9:00 last night it was dark and I looked out into the back yard and saw the lady next door mowing her yard in the dark. She uses an electric walk behind mower which is very quiet so nobody knows she's out there mowing but the odd thing is that mower had lights on the front of it, so she could see where she was mowing. I had no idea that a mower would have lights on it and I want to ask her did she put them on the mower or if it was on there when they bought the mower. I told you it was odd.

I will attempt to stop for now and let you have a good day, and we hope that your day is safe in all you do and that we are all blessed as we go through the day.

June 23, 2026

It seems like a good morning here in Hewitt, we do not have any rain, so the lawn sprinklers are now spraying water.

Yesterday: it was a stay-at-home day, and I was allowed to rest early morning before my bible reading occurred. If I get a nap before bible reading, I stay awake and enjoy my reading. If not, I get sleepy while reading.

I did get outside and mowed the front yard in the heat. When the mowing was completed, I got two bottles of water from the refrigerator, and I went to the front porch and sat down to rest my ole body. Two bottles of water ingested and after 20 minutes of rest I was thankful for the breeze that helped me cool down, and I said, “thanks to the lord for the breeze”.

Then I went to the shed and got the battery powered string trimmer. I was trimming the yard and I was almost finished (30 feet to trim) when I ran out of string. Wow, one more minute and I would have been done with the work. I did get the string put back on the trimmer and finished the trimming.

Tools put away I headed into the house and cooled down some before my shower.

Body all clean, my favorite wife and I sat outside with the big ole fan blowing on us, even though there were breezes blowing.

Today’s possible event: we have discussed going out for breakfast this morning which means I would need to get dressed. Wow, always something to make an ole person keep moving. Other than that, I have no plans to do anything other than rest.

I should note that a neighbor who is a friend (all our neighbors are friends) who went on a cruise last week, did bring me two Cuban cigars. I had suggested that if he was some where that had Cuban cigars that I would like to have a couple and I would compensate him for them. When I get one of these cigars it will last me a week. I just handle the cigar the first day having it in my hand, then the second day I do light the cigar and puff on it a couple times. I then cut the end off and saved it for the next day. A cigar will last me about a week. Yes, it is kind of like a toy to me, I do enjoy them and no I do not inhale them.

My nicotine addiction was due to chewing tobacco, which I have not chewed for 20 years now.

Wow I need to rest after all the above information has been entered into this computer. We hope you have a good day, and that we all stay safe in all we do.

June 22, 2026

Good morning

Yesterday: I got up early Sunday and after feeding the dog I watched one of the preachers on the TV. I did vacuum the floors and then I got dressed and proceed to do my bible reading. I brought the dirty clothes to the washroom and separated the color from the white. I did wash one load before we headed out for lunch.

My favorite wife and I went to the cracker store for lunch. We did have to wait for about 20 minutes before being seated. The food was good as usual and the service was also good. Back at home I continued the washing and drying of clothes.

I headed to the store to get a few groceries, and I thought there were a lot of people shopping on Father’s Day. Back at home after unloading the groceries I finished the drying of the clothes. I did get the clothes put away properly and I was ready for a rest period.

A little later we went outside and it was very hot. I had the big ole fan blowing on us as the heat and humidity together made it very necessary. One of the things I did while I was supposed to be setting outside was to remove the cat litter box from my office and dumped it in the trash can. I washed the box and let it dry in the sun. After it dried, I again filled it with litter, and I was allowed to replace the litter box in the office. We have one cat and the litter box needs to be cleaned daily.

The birds were quiet for a while but after we had enjoyed the quiet afternoon, they began to get noisy. While we were sitting there, I received a call from our son Dave, and he said he would bring us homemade Chicken Pot Pie for our supper. Let me tell you, “The Chicken Pot Pie was very good and our bellies were full.” There is enough left over for my lunch today.

We learned that our grandson Alex and the boy scouts made it to the camp site safely. They will be there all week.

Today’s possible happenings: The front yard needs to be mowed again so I will attempt to do that today, assuming the weather is good. I need to turn the lawn sprinklers on so they will operate as scheduled this week if we don’t get more rain.

Considering the wet weather, I had noticed this morning that the mushroom is back, or should I say mushrooms as there are three. I have posted photos in the past of the one mushroom and this morning I saw the beginnings if three, photos to follow.

It is difficult to see but there are three new mushrooms.

This is a close up of the larger one.

Well, I guess I should stop for now and get started, we hope you have a blessed day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

Good morning to you and that other person too.

Let me start off with a good morning to all fathers, we hope you have a good day.

I usually get up early every morning but yesterday I got up at 5:00am which is a little early, even for me. One reason was that Tres was beside my bed wanting me to let him outside. Any time he wants to go out he lets me know and I get out of bed and put him out. Usually, I return to bed but yesterday morning I just stayed up. We did get about ¼ inch of rain Friday night.

The morning went well, I had a cup of homemade coffee, and I did watch the so-called news. I did get my bible reading done before the family started to arrive. It took a while for everyone to get here and then we decided where we wanted to go for lunch.

There were 9 of us and we got the round table at the restaurant which allowed everyone to see each other while we were talking. The service was too slow, but the food was good, I think we all enjoyed the meal and time together.

Patrick and Karla came back to our house after the meal, everyone else went their own way. We sat around and discussed several topics, but I was sleepy and I kept dozing off. If I sit down after eating and do nothing, I am always sleepy. I am too old to be energetic and do physical things after eating. When they headed for home, I did get on the ole recliner and took a good nap.

After the nap my favorite wife and I went outside and sat there for a while. The neighborhood was quiet and even the birds were quiet yesterday and they are usually noisy.

Yesterday Alex needed to get ready to go to the boy scout camp and he left this morning. He will be gone for a week. I will need to do my own yard work while he is gone.

We will go to the cracker store for lunch today and we will probably need to wait to get seated since it is Father’s Day.

I will stop for now, we hope you have a blessed day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

June 20, 2026

We have a nice cool and wet good morning here in Hewitt. I have checked the rain gage, and we receive about ¼ inch of rain over night.

Review of yesterday’s events: I had asked our yard man Alex (aka grandson) to come over and mow the back yard yesterday, which he normally does on Saturday, but we have plans for today. I got into the “Fords new Chevy” (which now has almost 2000 miles on it) and pulled out if the garage where I immediately saw a mist being deposited on the windshield. I thought we will need to hurry and get the backyard mowed quickly before the real rain arrives.

Leaving the driveway, I called Alex to tell him I was on the way to get him. I was about halfway there when it began to rain. It was light rain so I decided that I might as well take a little extra time to see if this rain would stop. I went to get a cup of coffee at the star coffee place thinking if the rain continues, I will just call Alex and tell him that we will forget the mowing.

Arriving at the star coffee place I ordered my cup of coffee, and I told them I had enough points to get $2 off my drink. Coffee procured I started out of the parking lot and it was no longer raining so I headed on over to get Alex.

Alex And I discussed what needed to be done today and when we arrived at the homestead Alex said hello to granny and then went out back and got started on the mowing. I then went out back and picked up the dog Poopa-Loopa out of the backyard to make the mowing a little better. That completed I went into the house got my Bible out and started reading from the Bible while Alex mowed the backyard. It took about one hour to finish mowing and trimming the backyard and it looks nice and the rain held off. Work completed I did take Alex back to his house I came home and rested from all of the work that I wasn't doing.

Later in the afternoon I went out to the backyard I got a pole saw, and I cut some limbs down out of a tree as these limbs were getting close to the electric line and I like to keep the limbs away from that. I cut the limbs up into small pieces and put them in the trash cart, photo to follow.

The work completed, my favorite wife and I sat outside for a while enjoying the cool afternoon. The neighborhood was very quiet, even the birds that are normally making noise at our bird houses had stopped making noise. No one stopped by to visit so we just enjoyed some quiet time together sitting outside on the driveway.

I tried to get a photo of some pink blooms, but the wind was blowing, and the blooms would not stay in focus. Yes, that is a radio tower in the background which I used when I was into ham radio.

Today's events: we are expecting our son Patrick and Karla to come from Austin, and David, Claire, Alex, Gabby and Bryce will also come over, and we will go out for lunch together to celebrate Father's Day, which is tomorrow but we will not be together tomorrow.

Speaking of Father’s Day, Alex will head out to a boy scout summer camp in the morning of Father’s Day. He will be gone all week and that means I will need to mow my own yards next week.

I guess I should stop and rest from all this data entry, we hope you have a good day, and that we all stay safe in all we do.

June 19, 2026

We are starting out with a dry good morning, and we are told we will likely have a wet afternoon. That is why our lawn sprinklers system is turned off.          We have asked Alex to come over and mow the back yard if the rain stays away this morning.

As I sit here looking at the monitors of our security cameras, I see our cat Molly out on the front porch checking things out. Almost every morning and evening cats from down the street come up to our yard to check things out. Molly is not a fighting cat, but she will try to take care of her property.

Yesterday was a kickback take it easy and do almost nothing day again the main thing we did was to go out to supper and the food was very good.  We were able to get a handicapped parking spot right in front of the door at the restaurant. A young lady come to our table to take our order and about two or three minutes later the same young lady came back and said by the way they told me to go work on the other side and someone else will be taking care of you. The food was very good, the cold drinks were good, and we enjoyed our time there. We made it home safely afterwards.

Back at home even though it was excessively hot outside we did sit outside for a while yes; I had the big fan on even though occasionally there was a nice breeze. The neighborhood was quiet, there wasn't much going on, and the birds were making noise, but the neighborhood was again quiet.

I assume if you watch TV for a while you have noticed that many of the commercials right now are for things for Father's Day. They keep going over the same things for Father's Day something to clean your grill with or, to buy a new grill so you can cook outside or, those mats that go inside your car to keep your floors clean, all that exciting stuff. As you all should know I, do not like commercials whether on the radio or on TV, I turn the sound off, I pay for the TV and the Radio, why do I have to get commercials.

As I stated earlier, we hope to get Alex over here before the rain comes, and get the backyard mowed and get him back home safe and sound. No other plans for the day, not planning to go anywhere, maybe if I look around, I might need to go to the grocery store, we'll see.

We hope everybody has a real good day; stay safe in all you do.

I'm going to get off here and rest from all of this data entry.
