I know how 05.16.2022

What is it that the Don knows how to do? He can kick back and take it easy with the best of them. Did the Don kick back and take it easy yesterday? You bet he did.

Before we get into the easy life of the Don, let us talk about the blood moon, aka lunar eclipse last night. The Don set his kind of smart phone to wake him up at 10:45pm, which would allow him time to get his camera, locate the moon in the sky, find a seat to sit on, and then watch the eclipse.

There was one problem, there were light clouds that were blocking his view. He could see the blood moon through the clouds, but just verily see it. He thought the clouds would thin out providing a decent view and a couple photos. That did not happen! He sat out there for about 15 minutes and then decided that the mosquitoes had enough blood from him, so he ventured back into the Homestead, disappointed and with tears in his eyes.

Let us get back to the Don; while the Don was taking it easy yesterday, he was able to do a couple other things. He did pull trees from the jasmine beds, that always requires and ole person to bend over a lot or sit on some type of seat, he chose a seat. Then the Don picked up sticks along with some of the trees from the front yard.

He was able to continue resting while he watered all the flowers in pots, that are in the front yard. During the extended rest period he was able to read a chapter from his book on Revelations.

Noticing that his favorite wife had ventured into the back 40, the Don followed. He was then allowed to relocate the heavy flower that had been placed on the scrap wood table, and the heavy table itself, to a different flower bed. The Don first wife felt that the plant was getting too much sun in the previous bed.

The Don was allowed to help wash the dog there in the back 40, that is always fun. After that the Don ran the sprinklers in three of the areas in the front yard, that was to get water on the jasmine, new and old.

After eating supper, which he said was very good, he was allowed to wash the dishes before going outside and sitting on the ole rocker enjoying a cold beverage, along with his present wife. Now you see, a restful relaxing Sunday at the Fords homestead. Hope yours was restful also!

Rest and relax!
