He worked all day 05.05.2022

The title line states, “He worked all day”, but we don’t believe that. He did work some yesterday, but not all day.

Did he do the same job twice? Yes, he did the same job twice. Please allow me to explain. He decided to mow the front yard, hoping to remove the acorn trees that seemed to be everywhere. He always mows with the mower at about 4 inches high, he likes the grass tall and green.

He completed the mowing of the front yard, mowing directions were from the street to the house and back. Completing said mowing, he was not satisfied with his efforts, as there were still acorn sprouts showing. He then lowered the mower one notch, and again proceeded to mow the front yard, this time the mowing direction was along the street. He was satisfied with the second effort, photo to follow.

He then allowed himself to proceed to the back 40 where he acquired the ole riding mower. His ole senior body was tired from the double work in the front yard, but he was determined to change the tire on the ole riding mower. There was no way to get his jack from the garage to the shady spot in the back 40, so he used a few boards as a lever to raise the front of the mower. It was difficult work removing the ole tire and wheel, and then replacing it with a new tire and wheel (he removed one cotter pin, slid the tire off, greased the axel, slid the new tire on, and replaced the cotter pin.) Photo of the completed work to follow.

He then decided he would mow a small area of the back 40 just to see if the wheel worked as expected, it did. It was then time for lunch, and a short nap.

Upon completing said nap, he then jumped out of the ole recliner and rushed to the back yard hoping to complete the mowing of the back 40, before he went to pick up the grand kids at school. He was able to get it all mowed, and still pick up the Alex at school.

He attempted to sit outside and enjoy a cold drink about 5:00pm, but his allergies were getting to him, so he retreated to inside the homestead.

Well, I guess that is it for now, I need to get ready to take the kids to school.
