Another Friday 13th 11/13/2020

            Allow me to begin with a true statement, I had half of this posting written and then like a big ole silly grand pa, I deleted it and several other documents. The other documents are postings, so I can get them from the blog site.      Was I mad? Yes!    Have I gotten over it, not completely!   If that is the worst thing that happens to me today, then it has been a good day!

         Errors happen, don’t let them rule you!

            Yesterday afternoon, I sat outside waving at the drivers of vehicles as they head for their homes, after a day at work, even though I do not know many of the drivers. There was this car driving down the street slowly, and as the car began to turn at the corner I waved. The female driver waved back, and almost ran into the curb on the wrong side of the street. How do you like that, females still enjoy looking at this ole hansom senior retired person?

            Let us get to a real exciting subject; I had just come out of the Homestead and I had some recycle plastic in my hand. No, that isn’t exciting! Will you just be quiet, I may allow questions at the end of this posting. I had walked to the recycle bin and deposited said item. I then turned and started to the Ford’s ole rocker. Suddenly, this huge hawk came flying like a jet plane under our tree in the front yard, past me about 8 feet above the ground, then up over the tree in the neighbors’ yard. This hawk was very large, it could have been an eagle. Wow, what could be better?

            After that, this next topic is non-exciting:

            As I sat there on the Ford’s ole rocker, there was this squirrel running through the yard, back and forth getting acorns. Our cat Molly was watching. The squirrel stopped in our yard and molly ran to the tree. The squirrel left our yard, and a minute or so later it came back. I have a photo.

                                               

            The squirrel came closer to Molly, with in about 3 feet of Molly, I was trying to get another photo when Molly decided to attack. Molly chased the squirrel into the neighbor’s yard and up their tree. The squirrel is ok, darn it!

 

            Well, today is Friday, the above was composed yesterday, if anything gets written below it will be from today, “Friday 13th “.

            Tres and I went for our usual morning exploration (walk) and Tres was acting different. Usually he has his nose to the ground smelling everything, today he was looking around. He seemed to be looking for something, possibly there was an odor in the air that I could not smell. We were not attacked by anything, so whatever it was, he did not find it!

 

            Well that is it for now. Friday 13^th is just another day, enjoy, and be safe!
