July 14, 2023

I am here again with nothing to do and nowhere to go. It would be nice if ole people had things to do, or if we just had a couple friends to talk with. Yes, we have friends but where the heck are they? They are at their house getting ready to eat or getting ready to watch TV and go to bed. Ole people can’t go out in the evening, or even late afternoons, you know they need to be in their own house, which is a part of their normal schedule. Schedules are important to us ole people.

Now we did do one interesting thing together yesterday and that was, “we washed the Tres”. I know that isn’t too exciting to you but consider this, it is in the middle of the night, you and your favorite wife are asleep in your bed, and this 100-pound dog decides to get in between the two of you. When that happens, and it does happen almost every night, you want the Big Dog to be clean, and if he is clean, he then smells good, which helps you sleep more comfortably.

Now we did go out to supper yesterday afternoon, at the restaurant that is named after my dad whose name was, “George”. We did not get the seats that we liked, and it took more than 10 minutes before the waitstaff even came to the table. Our waitstaff was a male, that seems to be unusual at the restaurant, as most of the wait staff are female. The food was good once the waiter took our order.

Supper done, we drove home in the extreme heat, and even though it was 106 degrees, we did sit outside for a while. I think that says something about the stuff that is on the TVs now days, when we would rather be outside in the heat rather than inside in the cool watching TV. We had some interesting discussions as we sat there and I, Reverend Don, was presenting to my favorite wife some info about something that I have believed for years.

There was a TV show on the ole black and white channel yesterday, I do not know the name and I only seem the last part. This story was about a female preacher who would preach and get many people to repent and accept God. At the end of the movie, they bring a child to her and the boy could not walk, they wanted her to pray for him and heal him. Even though she believed in God and preached his word, she said she could not do that. The little boy and his parent believed if she would pray for him, he would be healed. The little boy asked her to help him, and she gave him a hug. While she was hugging him, she prayed for him, and then she believed that he was being healed. She put the boy down and he took steps toward his dad, he was walking for the first time.

The movie was depicting exactly what I have believed for many years. “If a person is ill, and if this person believes that God can heal them. If there is another person who also believes that prayer to God will provide a healing, the two believers together, and the prayer, there will be a healing!”

Mathew 18:20 “For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.”

People came to Jesus believing that they could be healed, and they were. They believed, and Jesus also believed.

The disciples and apostles of Jesus, believed, and people came to them believing, and they were healed.

I do believe that healings can be instant, or can be something that takes a little time. I like to think that after the prayer for a healing, if it isn’t an instant miracle, God flips the switches in our body to on, and the body starts the healing process.

One person alone can also pray and receive healing or guidance, it does not need to be a team effort, but remember what Mathew 18:20 says.

You are right, this is a little different from some of my postings, we hope you believe, and share the message with others. Have a good day filled with love and kindness and please be safe.

All things are possible if you believe!
