            Good morning to you and you only, the rest of them get a good day. Do I have any plans for today, yes, I do. I plan to get our yard man “Alex” to come over and mow, (Alex is my favorite grandson, and he is my only grandson) other than that no other plans for the day.

            Yesterday what did the Don do: well, he took his favorite wife and went to breakfast at the cracker store. There was no waiting to be seated when we got there, they were waiting to be seated when we left. The food was good the service wasn’t the best.

            Back at home I sit around for a while then I decided I should get up and do something. My favorite wife wanted the new whirly-gig moved to the front yard, so I was able to get out of the ole recliner and go outside to work for my favorite wife. I did not tell her that I had moved it, I wanted to see how long it takes for her to notice that I moved it. That afternoon when we went outside to sit, she noticed it was moved. I then learned it was in the wrong place, so I jumped out of my chair (jumped means, I got out as fast as an ole person can get out of a chair) and move the whirly-gig to the correct spot.

            Another project was, I then decided to do something with the 5 paint cans that have sat around for a couple years, they need to be in a non-liquid mode, and put in the trash. I used, used cat litter, to dry them up. Yes, before I went to the ole paint cans, I allowed myself to change the cat litter. Molly now has fresh cat litter. The 5 paint cans are opened and have the used cat litter in them, two of them will be in the trash today. By the way I do remove the cat POOPA-LOOPA from the kitty litter daily, so there was no defecation in the ole litter.

            I did re-plant two small flowers that had been given to us by a good friend, they were very small and I put both of them in a good-sized flowerpot. As I was working with the replanting, I noticed a flower that was blooming. This is the first time this plant has bloomed, so I took a photo.

            I then was able to water the flowerpots in the front yard as they were all in the shade.

Sit outside: we did sit outside for a while, but it wasn’t as enjoyable as usual. I was attempting to get my favorite wife’s phone to work with her emails again. I did not get the email working; it does still make calls but there is a problem with the Wi-Fi. I watered the back flowerpots after the sun was off them. Tired and stressed out, due to the cell phone, I drug my ole body into the house.

Wow, kind of an odd day for me. Well, I will stop for now and get ready to get the yard man Alex over here to work. We hope you have a good day; please be safe in all you do.

            It is a good morning for both us, and Donald Trump. They are saying on the TV that Donald Trump is still alive due to the hand of God being on him. I think they are right.

            Yesterday events: we did go out for lunch yesterday, there was a lot of conversations and some real good food. We were surprised when we arrived that the restaurant a little before 12:00, to fine that the place was almost empty. With all the traffic on the streets we thought we would need to wait for a while, but we were seated quickly.

            I did get both of my emails working again, I should say Patrick got them working. 

            We did not do much of anything the rest of the day, heck we did not go to the cheap store so we may have missed out on an adult toy, that is my definition of things I buy. 

            We did sit outside yesterday enjoying the afternoon, when I got a text from my sister in Missouri saying, “Trump was shot”. I sent a text asking what happened, she responded I don’t know. Instead of getting up and going into the house to watch TV I called a neighbor and asked if he was watching TV, he was, he did not have any more information, so we sat there a while longer then headed into the house.

            Back in the homestead, my favorite wife and I watched the news to learn more about the shooting. There is a lot of crazy people in this world.

            Well, we have no plans for today, we may go to the cracker store for some breakfast but other than that, no real plans. We hope you have a good day, stay away from crazy people, and try to be safe in all you do.

            It is the 13^th, but it isn’t Friday the 13^th, does that make it a good morning? As usual we have no plans for today, except to go out to lunch with the family. Patrick and Karla will drive up from Pflugerville TX, and Dave, Clair, Gabi and Alex will drive over from the other side of Hewitt TX. We will all venture into Waco and hopefully find a place to have a bite to eat for lunch. We always enjoy a get-together with the family.

            That is all the real plans for the day, we hope the lady at the sandwich shop where we go most Saturdays, don’t miss us too much.

            We did get the dog washed yesterday, and by that comment I mean, my favorite wife and I washed the dog yesterday afternoon. I thank he likes the washing process; he does not try to get away from us when he sees us get the hose and our benches that we sit on. Speaking of the dog, I have a photo taken yesterday afternoon when we were sitting outside.

            Tres was laying there and Molly the cat came over and lay down with him, they get along pretty good. The part of a foot you see in the photo is from my favorite wife, her and a friend were sitting on the ole swing.

            Speaking of sitting outside yesterday afternoon, the weather was warm but there was an off and on breeze, we did not have the big fan on. We had some lively conversations about the last book in the Bible, “Revelations”. Now I can’t say we came up with any completely correct answers, although there were some good thoughts and many questions. One question of mine that I will present, and if you have the answer, you are welcome to inform me. The New Jerusalem will be located on the new earth, and it will be, “1500 miles long, 1500 miles wide and 1500 miles high”. My question is, “Why will there be very high walls around the New Jerusalem?”

 

            Different topic: I have been seeing and hearing too much about the president and the fellow named Don who wants to be president again. A little info is enough for me. News isn’t news when you hear the same thing said by different people time and time again. I guess I need something more to do, maybe we have the TV on too much.

            Speaking of radio, was I speaking of radio? My favorite wife would like to know of a radio station that plays olden day Christian music a lot of the time. When she is in the van, she likes to hear some music that she remembers from childhood days. Do you have any suggestions for local channels?

            Well, I need to quit for now and let my ole body relax from all the data entry. We hope you have a good day, that you are nice to, you know who, and that we all stay safe in all we do.

            Well, I should say Good Morning to you but, the morning is almost over as it is after 11:00am as I am entering this data.

            I got started working this morning after the Tres and I went out front and checked the front yard out. I decided to water the flowers in pots early morning so I started out front. I had decided to pull weeds from the #1 berry bed this morning and knowing that the weeds seem to come out of the wet ground easier than dry, I decided to water the #1 bed at the same time as watering the flowers out back. I got the #1 bed watered and I could not stop myself from watering the #2 and #3 beds also. I got the flower pots watered and headed out back to pull a few weeds.

Now I picked the #1 bed to pull weeds from, as it had less weeds than the other beds. Once I was on my knees and started on the weeds, I noticed some dead parts in the bushes, so I decided to remove the few dead limbs. I was surprised how many dead limbs there were, even though most of them were small, they did help fill up the container I was using to put the pulled weeds in. Unfortunately, I was working too slow and the sun was shining on me and the #1 bed before I finished. I don't like to work in the sun.

That work completed I then noticed several sticks in the back 40, so I decided to remove them which took a little time. I decided to also get the sticks and debris out of the front yard too, which took more time. At some point I had completed the work and I was able to drag my ole body into the homestead to cool down and drink some water. After the cool down period and shower, I came in here to the ole computer. I was able to get one sentence entered when my son Dave called and wanted me to pick him up from work.

I was able to get Dave home safe and my ole body back to the Homestead. It was almost 11:00 am so I got a sandwich for my lunch and then started this posting. What a morning!

Yesterday, my favorite wife and I had lunch with some friends as a celebration of Donna's Birthday. The lunch was good and the conversations were lively. Tomorrow we will have lunch with Patrick, Karla, Dave, Claire, Gabi and Alex, this will be the second birthday celebration for my favorite wife. The third celebration will be on Tuesday and it will be at a local restaurant at 10:00am, yep, we will be having breakfast at this one.

            The sun is shining but it is still kind of cool outside this morning, so we say Good Morning to you, and the other readers also.

            Again, I have nothing to present to you in this posting. The main plan for today is to have lunch with some friends to celebrate my favorite wife’s birthday. Now this would be an early celebration as her birthday is not until next week on the 16^th. How old will she be, I think she will be 21 years ole, again. (I am not allowed to say she will be three quarters of a century old.) If you don’t know what ¾ of a century is, ask your smart phone. Why do I even try?

            Having lunch with friends today means, we will not go out this evening for supper, aka date night. Now this is only one of the birthday celebrations that we will have for my Favorite wife, on Saturday we will have lunch with our sons and their families. Then next Tuesday we will be having lunch with other friends, which is the actual day of her birth. In truth we do not know if we will be having breakfast, or if it will be lunch on Tuesday, they have not told us yet.

            I have a birthday coming up next month, but…

            We did almost nothing yesterday, other than sit around and complain about being bored. I did water the flower pots and we did sit outside yesterday afternoon; it was nice but we did have the big fan running. Wow, ole poor people have an exciting life doing nothing and being bored.

            Well, I wish I had something interesting to discuss but I don’t. We hope you have an interesting day filled with blessings, and as always, please stay safe in all you do.

            It is morning again here at the Ford’s Homestead. It seems to be a good morning as I do not have any big plans for the day.

            I did a couple things yesterday; I did go out and pull weeds from the big flower bed. This flower bed is not difficult when working on the outside, but the inside is difficult. It took 1.5 hours of me being on my knees, to pull the weeds. I do have a photo looking down the center of the bed. Now someone should wonder why we have the blocks in the center of the flower bed. Allow me to “splain Lucy”. When we first got Tres, we learned very quickly that he would go through the center of the bed instead of going to the outside when he needed to bark at someone. The blocks are there so he doesn’t run through the dirt or mud when it rains and bring it into the house.

            After the work and a cool down period, I was allowed to take a shower before I headed out to the post office. My favorite wife had ordered, and item and they sent her the wrong size, so we needed to return it. Leaving the post office, I went to the cleaners, and I had some shirts that needed to be cleaned. When I arrived back at home, I did my daily Bible reading before going to the Ford’s ole recliner and taking a short nap.

            I picked Dave up from work and he was eating a popsicle, evidently, they provide popsicles and some ice cream for the staff to help them stay cool in the hot days of summer.

            Cloud photo: I found this cloud interesting, you might if you have an imagination. I can see a couple different faces of dogs, one smaller and one large. Take a look and see if you can see something.

             I do need to get outside this morning and water the flowers, but the sun is shining on the front of the homestead so it will be hot for an ole person to work.

            A couple months ago I had to purchase a new VCR which is used to record the video of the security cameras, and when I installed it, it wasn’t recording the way I want it to. It was only recording when there was movement, and I want it to record all the time like the old one did. Yesterday I reset the VCR and took my time in the setup, now it is recording all the time.

            I did wash my ole red cap that has, “Make America Great Again” on it, I might even wear it in public.

            I guess I don’t have anything interesting to present to you, so I will say, “Have a good day, be safe in all you do, and be nice to ole people.”

            I will say good morning to you but it may not be for me. This morning, I am being allowed to pull weeds from a big flower bed. I will need my knee pads as I will be crawling all around. At least it isn't too hot this morning but I will be tired when I finish.

You didn't ask what I had for supper yesterday but I know you want to know. 😊

I had Clam chowder but I decided to attempt to enhance the chowder with some small pieces of shrimp added, we then called it "Sea Food Chowder."

Lady up the street: I walked Tres yesterday morning since it was cool and it was still not raining, I saw a friend in the front yard of a neighbor's house. She was talking to someone on the phone. As we came close, she waved at me and said hi to Tres, which he responded with a couple loud barks at her. She noted that she had not talked with the lady who lived there for a couple days, and that the lady who lived there was not feeling good the last time they had talked. She went on to say that she and a friend have both tried to call this lady and have both text her several times, but the lady will not answer the phone or respond to the test and she did not respond to the doorbell.

            That's when I said call 911 and ask for a welfare check. She said she was considering that.  As we stood there talking the front door came open and the lady who lived there came out of the house. Tres and I waved and we began our walk up the street. I did not get told a reason for the lady not responding to the calls and or texts.

When we were coming back down the street, they were both standing outside and asked, if we had gotten any rain last night or this morning. I said we received ¼ inch of rain, and Tres and I walked on to the homestead.

As I said earlier, I plan to work on my knees around a large flower bed this morning before the sun gets up high enough to shine on me. I will have 2 or 3 hours before the sun gets to this flower bed.

Well, I need to get going the shade is good right now. We hope you will have a good day and please keep those people who have lost power due to the storm yesterday in your prayers, and as always be safe in all you do.

            Wow, it is a good morning, we have ¼ inch of rain in the Ford’s ole free rain gage this morning, and we may get more rain as the day progresses.

            Well, that is all I have to present to you today, I do not want to waste your time by telling you we went to the cracker store for lunch yesterday and that we had a very good wait staff, she chatted with us and the food was also good. We didn’t even need to wait to be seated. Heck, there was enough food on our plates that we took some home with us and that is what I had for my supper.

            I don’t want to go into the fact that I picked sticks and debris up from both yards, or that I put a whirligig together for my wife and it is outside whirling in the wind right now, see these comments would not be interesting to you so I do not want to go into them. I am saving time for you by not going into these topics.

            If I told you we sat outside yesterday afternoon I would again be wasting your time, and I would likely tell you that my favorite wife allowed me to put the plumeria plants in the garage just in case we were to get some wind from the proposed storms and heavy rains that might be here today. I just don’t want to take up your time with these uninteresting topics.

            If I were to waste your time by attempting to tell you what I will be doing today, it would be nothing. How interesting would it be if I told you I might go to the cleaners and drop off a couple items there, “NOT INTERESTING”! 

            However, I would like to take the time to wish you a good day and hope that you stay safe in all you do.
