            Good morning to all who read this silly posting. I didn’t say you were silly, I said the posting is silly.

            Yesterday’s events: My favorite wife allowed me to take her to the Cracker store for breakfast, the food was ok but nothing to brag about. It may be that we go there too often and we are getting use to the menu.

            Back at home we sat around for a while and then I decided to go outside and pick up any small sticks that may be left over from the tree trimming Saturday. I was able to remove some, and during this time I came to the understanding that when I am looking for something on the ground in the grass, once I have found the first item, be it a weed or something like Poopa-Loopa, my focus seems to improve and I find others of the same type item. It is like my brain now knows what I am looking for.     

            Speaking of Poopa-Loopa, I did remove it from the back 40 and some from the front yard. That being done, I procured the two rakes from the garage and went to the back 40 where I had some leaves on the ground. I thought I would rake them into an area and then get the mower and vacuum the leaves up. It came to me that I have a leaf blower and that might be easier than the rake. The leaf blower worked well and was much easier and faster than the rake. The mower did vacuum the leaves and I was able to get them all in the trash container for today’s trash haul off.

            We did sit outside for a while yesterday afternoon, the weather was good and the neighborhood was very quiet. It is nice to sit and relax with nothing going on. Well, I guess I should get off here as it is about time to go get Alex for school. We hope you all have a good day and stay safe in all you do.

            We made it to Sunday again and all seems well here at the Ford Homestead. We would like to wish each of you a good morning, or good day, depending on when you get out of bed.

            Allow me to comment on yesterday: our tree man Alex did a good job and he learned a few things since this was his first tree trimming event. The two trees we worked on were both pecan trees. Now I said “we” worked on, I supervised and he worked, although I did help carry the cut limbs to the trailer. We were able to get limbs away from the power line that runs from the pole to our house and a bunch of low hanging limbs. To me, the trees look better now.

            I did not take Alex to the star coffee place when I picked him up, as he had food for his breakfast with him. Yep, he was eating breakfast as we drove to our house.

We did get the limbs all cleaned up and loaded on the trailer and I will need to put straps on the limbs to secure them on the trailer today. I believe it is about three weeks before we can take these limbs to the Hewitt chipper.

The back yard has some leaves on the ground and it looks kind of ugly. No, all the leaves have not started falling yet, just the pecan tree leaves in our yard. I could use the lawn mower to vacuum them up, but that would be work for this ole retired person. I will likely get outside and attempt to pick up any small debris left over from yesterday’s cutting. Alex did use the leaf blower to clean the drive way of the leaves that were there.

After the cutting work, my favorite wife and I took Alex with us to the sandwich place for lunch. We were able to get him home safely and when I returned home, I took a short nap. My favorite wife and I did wash the dog yesterday before we were able to sit outside, the neighborhood was quiet and the Crows did not make any noise yesterday. It was warm but not too hot, heck they are saying we might have a chance for rain this week, and that would be good.

I think we are going to the cracker store this morning for breakfast, and if we go early, we will not need to wait in line to be seated. When we go for lunch, there is always a long wait to get a table.

            It seems like a good morning, so we will wish you, and you alone, a good morning.

Yesterday’s small events: I did trim a couple more small bushes and then I learned that they should have been trimmed shorter. I guess today I will again attempt to meet the expectations of my favorite wife and shorten the bushes a little more.

I was allowed to leave the homestead for a few minutes yesterday and take a few shirts to the cleaners and while I was out, I stopped by the teller machine and procured our weekly stipend.

Speaking of clothes, I have an odd story about blue jeans. Ther was a pair of jeans hanging in the closet so I took them out to put on. I looked them over as some of my jeans have things like paint on them that will not come off, but these had no paint. I put my legs in them and pulled them up to my waist, they were a little tight, I mean they were very tight. I would say they were a good 6 to 8 inches to small, heck they were probably for someone with a 32-inch waist. My favorite wife said they were folded up on her side of the closet under other clothes and when she found them, she hung them on my side of the closet. If these pants were ever mine, they would have been something from more than 50 years ago.       Odd?

I have thought about getting our yard man over here this morning to do some tree trimming. There are some fairly low limbs that could be trimmed and it the yard man Alex was here I would not have to do so much work. 

We did sit outside yesterday with a friend who comes over most Friday afternoons and we always have some good conversations, it was kind of warm, and I did have the big ole fan running part of the time.

I need to get Alex and see if we can remove some tree limbs. We hope you have a good day and as always be safe in all we do.

            Wow, we made it back to another Friday and we wish everyone a good morning.

            I will start this posting and then in a few minutes leave to go to the burrito store where I will attempt to procure a couple bacon egg and cheese burritos. When I get back here to the house, I will divide the burritos in half and eat one half myself, while giving the other half to My favorite wife. I will then divide the second burrito and re-wrap the two halves to take to Alex and Gabi for breakfast on the way to school. Hopefully I will get them to school on time and safely.

            We went to the concert last night and it was a blast. The stage was filled with all the young people from freshmen to seniors, all with stringed instruments, they had a big screen above the orchestra and they showed a vampire movie from 1922. The music and sounds from the orchestra change with the movie. It was very good; the movie was probably scary in the olden days but it wasn’t scary last night. 

            I have returned from getting the burritos and my half was good. I will need to leave in a few minutes to get the Alex and Gabi off to school.

            I did go out and trim a couple more bushes yesterday and they look a little better now, I did have a round with vertigo yesterday afternoon but I got it under control in time to go to the vampire movie. I still have a couple more bushes to trim hopefully today but these are small and I need to trim them this morning while the clouds are around, you know, stay out of the sun.

            I have no other plans for today and I need to get started to get ready to go to get the kids for school. We hope you have a very good day, please stay safe in all you do, and please be nice to at least one person.

            We hope every one’s day starts out with a bright and cheerful good morning.

            Yesterday’s events were not too many: I did water the plants and I attempted to give some extra water to the berry beds as everything is too dry. The ground in the yard that the sprinklers do not cover is cracking open. We need a couple days of nice rain without any storms.

            My favorite wife and I did sit outside yesterday afternoon and a friend came over and wanted to look at our hot house. He is considering purchasing one and wanted to get an idea of how big ours is. I tried to explain how I put mine together so we hope he got some good ideas.

            Today’s events: we are hoping that after getting Alex to school on time and in a safe manner that we can go out to the voting place and vote. We are hoping the line of people waiting to vote will not be too long at 8:30 but I guess we will wait and see.

            We plan to go after voting and have breakfast. A nice big breakfast at a restaurant provides enough food so that we don’t need to have lunch.

            This evening, we are going to the high school where Alex will be playing music while we watch an ole movie that has no sound. An ole black and white movie and the orchestra will provide the music.

            I need to get going and get Alex to school, I will finish this later and let you know if we get to vote. 

            We are back: we did get to vote and it took about 45 minutes total that includes standing in line and voting. The voting was on a paper ballot and then we put it into a machine. 

We did go to the George’s restaurant for breakfast and my belly is full. I asked for a discount since we had voted, the answer was NO. I asked for a senior citizen discount, NO, I asked for a first responder discount, NO, I asked for a military discount, she said they had a military discount but it wasn’t much. Needless to say, we did not get a discount, the food was good and the service was good.

Now that my belly is full, I need a nap, so, we hope you have a good day, have fun in all you do and be safe.

            Good morning from me to you and the that other person too, we hope your day is starting well.

Yesterday work history: I did go out to the back 40 and trim the bushes that are along the wall. Now the parts that I was cutting off the bushes ranged from 2 feet to 4 feet long, mostly 4 feet long. Most of the branches came from the top of the bushes and some came from the base of the bushes. I had the Ford’s ole red wagon setting there and I would place the cuttings in the wagon. When the wagon was full, I would take it to the trailer where there were limbs from previous work days, and the nice thing was, I could gather the entire wagon load of cuttings in my arms at one time and place them on the trailer. I had three full wagon loads of cuttings. After wrestling with the cuttings, I decided to get a shower in hopes of removing any chiggers that were likely on me from the cuttings. 

Later in the day, having nothing to do, I decided to see if I could, using the leaf blower, blow leaves in to a pile. My thought was to have our yard man Alex over here Saturday and using the lawn mower he could pick up the leaves. The leaf blower worked but I think the lawn mower would do an equally good job of blowing the leaves.

I also having no real plans for the afternoon, decided to see if I could get some acorns from the new jasmine bed, the jasmine is not real thick there and I can see some acorns on the ground. I picked up a few acorns but the dirt was wet since the sprinkler had run that morning so I got more mud than acorns. 

I did drive out to where the early voting is and there were too many cars, so I did not even turn into the parking area, I proceeded on and came home on what I use to call the back road, it is Richey Road. I see that there are many new houses but the big surprise for me was, there is a grade school on that road and I had no idea it was there. Yes, it had been several years since I had been on the road.

Our son David and Claire did get to vote yesterday, they said it took about 45 minutes, and the voting was on paper ballots, no computers this time. We hope to get out there one day this week and get the voting done.

Today I do not know what I might do, I do need to water everything and I could remove some of the grass from the berry beds, but that requires me to be on my ole knees.

Well, I guess I will stop entering data, and get ready to get Alex and take him to school. we hope you have a very good day; stay productive in all you do and please be safe.

            Good morning to everyone we hope you have a very good day.

            Did nothing yesterday other than get a prescription filled, check to see if I could read the notes, I had written for bible study and go to the bible study. My hand writing isn’t very clear and sometimes I find it difficult to read my own writing.

            Tres and I did sit out on the front porch for a while and the weather was good but the mosquitos were hungry, so we did not linger outside too long.

            What do you think about the following: as some people might know I occasionally write short stories like The Beginning of Time, and Time Travel. I sometimes watch shows on TV about aliens. Now I am not talking about aliens coming across our borders illegally, I am talking about aliens from other worlds, aka outer space aliens. It is possible that we have aliens living among us, and this has been going on for many years. It may be also possible that they look like we do, they have jobs and are around some of us daily. These aliens may be trying to get into jobs or positions where they can influence us without us knowing.

Now what positions would they want to be in and why. They would like to be in positions where they have access to you and I daily, that would be TV, news people and other positions like those who might be interviewed by TV personnel. There most likely will be some in politics.

They might have originally come here as guides to influence people to do certain things and help earthlings to progress, learn and how to safely advance the human population. The population of these aliens has increased and they do cross breed with the human, both men and women.

It may be possible to identify these beings by looking at their eyes. Their eyes are slightly wider than most humans, their eyes open wide and appear slightly larger than a human. Their eyes look very nice and that is how you can tell an alien from a human.

Now I know that you think that the above is a totally crazy statement, but for the next couple days when you are watching anyone on TV, especially the news people, take the time to look at their eyes and see if you occasionally see the eyes of an alien.

I am just attempting to provide you with information that you can ignore or use.

            I need to get ready to go get Alex for school, today he will have his military uniform on for the ROTC class. No big plans for the day, my favorite wife could convince me to go out for breakfast. There is some work that needs to be done like trimming some bushes in the back 40, but I am not sure what I will due yet.

            It is dark thirty here in Hewitt, my pot hound Tres got me up about an hour earlier than normal, so I am starting the day with a good morning to all, yes that includes you too.

            We did very little yesterday here at the Fords Homestead, we did go to the cracker store for breakfast and that is about all we did. I would say it was a day of rest and doing very little. I did water the flower pots out in the front yard and I did sit on the front porch and read the notes for this week’s bible study.

My favorite wife and I did sit outside yesterday afternoon the neighborhood was quiet, the weather was good, and we enjoyed the peaceful time together away from distractions like the TV. We do keep an eye on any vehicles that pass by while we are outside and if they are not from the neighborhood, we try to guess why they are going down our street to the cul-de-sac.

Today’s plan: not a lot on the plan, I need to get Alex to school on time and in a safe manner, I need to call the vet to get the cat in for a checkup and see if I can get the Tres in as he itches all the time. I will need to double check my bible study homework in prep for to night’s meeting.

I need to cut some tree limbs that are hanging to low, and I wonder if my yard man Alex has ever been a tree trimmer. Alex working makes things much easier for me.
