Got something 02.01.19

All was fine until after supper, that’s when it hit. I for no obvious reason began to cough. This cough seemed to be originating in my throat and upper chest. The mucus was coming from my nose and lungs.

What? Mucus is a more acceptable word than snot. Why do I even respond to these comments?

I could tell I wasn’t going to stop this coughing. This cough wasn’t a little hacking cough, if was a give it everything cough. My favorite spouse gave me a lemon flavored cough drop and I put a face mask on. In about 15 minutes I was a lot better.

I don’t know if it is allergies or not. I don’t have a fever so I am guessing allergies.

Oops, I had a temp of 100 about noon yesterday. I went to the doctor and she said I probably did not have the flu. She assumed it was a virus of some type. They gave me a steroid shot, I assume my muscles will be larger tomorrow. I was told, “Steroids in your behind, is for inflammation anywhere in our body”.

My new Medicare account does not require me to pay a fee to see the doctor, unless the doctor is a specialist. Another point about my Medicare, I do not pay a monthly fee either. J

The coughing comes and goes and the congestion in my chest seems to be much better, and then I cough up a greenie (you didn’t like mucus and now you don’t like greenie!). I slept ok last evening but I had odd dreams all night. I don’t feel as if I have a fever, but the thermometer indicates it’s a little less than 100.

I hope you don’t catch it from reading this posting. The doctor did say she thought I had a virus, I hope it don’t infect your computer or phone. I wonder if I got this virus from my old computer.

I must not be too sick, I just completed a cup of real coffee.

I think I had indicated in a recent posting that I was trying to contact an ole friend but I could not find his number. I did finally contact his wife and I learned what happened. They were starting a vacation, the wife was driving, my friend was in the passenger seat, their daughter, who is a navy officer, was in the back seat passenger side, and the daughter’s boyfriend was in the back seat driver’s side. They were driving when they hit black ice. The car began to slide sideways when it hit a dry spot and rolled over. My friend received back injuries, and his daughter an arm injury, the driver and the boyfriend were not hurt.

Don’t get sick, it is not any fun!
