November 2, 2024

I hope we all have a good morning, mine seems to be starting out that way. Remember to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed tonight. I just started by changing the time on the little clock that is here in the office. The clock in the garage will not be change, as I did not change it to day lite saving time, so it has been on regular time all summer.

Yesterday I once again ventured out to the front yard and removed a few acorns. I was again looking for any acorns I could see, and using the pecan roller, picking them up. I was working in lines from the street to the flower beds and then turning and heading back to the street. At one point and acorn fell about 3 feet in front of me and I retrieved it, then a few seconds later one fell beside me. I thought, is the tree helping me by dropping them where I can see them, or is the tree attempting to threaten me, wanting me to leave its acorns alone.

I was also able to do a little trimming of a couple bushes yesterday, one I had previously trimmed, and my favorite wife suggested it was not trimmed enough, the other just needed to be cut back some.

I also swept the garage floor after my favorite wife popped into her van and went into town. She was looking for the needed supplies to make tamales. She usually makes the tamales at the beginning of November. So far, she has been unable to get all the needed items as the store where she has purchased them in the past did not have everything. We may go to one of the Mexican stores today to see if they have the needed items.

I did my daily reading of the bible and also did my homework for bible study. Upon completion I decided to leave the Fords Homestead in order to procure some chicken tenders and fries for my lunch. Back at home the tenders and fries were very good. Upon completion of eating my lunch I did head to the Ford’s ole recliner for a short nap.

Later in the afternoon my favorite wife and I did sit outside with a friend and enjoy the nice weather which by the way, was cool. As usual we had some interesting conversations about the bible. Our pot hound Tres was taking a nap after barking at the neighbor’s truck when he drove by.

Well, I guess that is it for now, we hope you have a very good day, stay safe in all you do and have positive thoughts, you know, “all things are possible if only you believe”. Positive thoughts and believing are basically the same.

Comfortable nap.

Senior ole person who likes comfortable naps too, Don the Ford

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
