November 9, 2024

Wow, we are into another weekend, looking forward to another exciting do-nothing day! we would like to wish everyone a good morning and hope all is well with you.

As some of you know they were predicting rain and possible storms for all of central Texas yesterday. We are thankful that we did not get any storms, we would have liked to have gotten some rain, but, that did not happen. My favorite wife and I did sit outside for a while yesterday afternoon, the wind began to blow very hard and it looked like it might rain. I think I have a photo of the possibility…

Then, with this large storm cloud that appeared the wind continued, it became cooler and then the rain passed by us leaving this small cloud.

If you look closely, you should be able to see the moon, well you can only see half the moon, and you should be able to see the buzzard floating around over our homestead.

I did remove more acorns from the front yard yesterday, and speaking of acorns, when the wind began to blow like crazy, we could hear the acorns falling from the oak trees on to the roof and then dropping to the ground. I need to get the tree limbs removed from above the roof.

I did gather a few more acorns than usual yesterday, but the leaves on the ground make it more difficult to see the acorns.

Today, after we venture into the City of Waco, I have two possible goals. One is to start trimming some of the flowers in pots and putting them into the hot house, and I might get the walk behind mower and use it to remove some of the leaves from the front yard. I would first need to pick up the twigs that have fallen from the trees in the front yard.

Yes, you are probably right, that is too much work for an ole senior person.

I guess I could get started early and then have the afternoon to rest. We hope you have a good day and please be safe in all you do.

No rain, more work.

Senior ole person who might work to hard today but probably not, Don the Ford

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
