Good morning to everyone. I have the TV next to my desk on and I looked at it and saw some advertisement where they were flying kites. The advertisement reminded me of the olden days when us kids, would get a kite and then go to the field behind our house and fly the kites. The kites back then cost a dime, and you would need string, the more string the better, and we would put a tail on the kites which was strips of ole rags tied together. The tail was important as it helped keep the kite up right which allowed it to fly. We would fly the kites each of us wanting to have our kite fly further away than the other kites.
Topic change: our dog Tres and I go outside to the front yard every morning, that is a habit that started when we use to get a newspaper daily. Tres would check the yard out and then he would get the paper and take it into the house and drop it at my favorite wife’s chair. We still go out each morning but now he seems to like to drop some Poopa-Loopa in the front yard each morning.
Yesterday’s events: I did toss out some items yesterday that were in the garage, more need to vanish. I did bring the trailer from the back 40 to the gate in prep for tomorrows limb haul off. The trailer has a lot of limbs and I wanted easy access for tomorrow morning.
I had a 2x4 foot sheet of ole plywood that needed to be tossed out but it would not fit in the trash container so I took it to the shed and cut it into smaller pieces. As you know my shed has a solar panel that powers a 12-volt battery that is connected to a power inverter. The power inverter provides 120 volts of electricity, for power saws and other devices. That makes it easier when I need to use a power tool.
While I was at the shed, I retrieved some Christmas lights and brough them to the garage. The lights go across the front edge of the roof and on the ground around the flower beds. Later I remembered I need the hangers that we use to put the light on the roof and the stakes that we use around the flower beds. I will need to see if I can find them in the shed.
My favorite wife was making cookies most of the day yesterday, so I help by washing up some of the dishes and tools that were used, then we headed out for supper. The food was good and the service was also good. Back at home I did sit outside for about half an hour as it was getting dark.
Today’s plans: normal schedule of getting the kids to school, then I need to get the rest of the flowers into the hot house as the weather people said it was 37 degrees in Waco this morning. I need to find the items to put the lights on the house and around the flower beds, maybe I can get Alex to help me.
Well, I need to get going, I will finish this later. We hope you have a good day and please stay safe in all you do.
Flower pot mover.
Senior ole person who thinks I will need the heater on in the truck, Don the Ford.
May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
