November 24, 2024

            Good Sunday morning to everyone.

Our yard man Alex came over yesterday and did some yard work for us. He did receive a Star coffee drink on the way to our homestead, and lunch at the sandwich shop after the work. Alex mowed the front yard, and I trimmed it. After the mowing and trimming, I blew and swept the leaves and debris into piles and then I picked them up. I cleaned all along the curb in front of the house. The reason I told you that; later in the day I walked out to the street to review the work we had completed, and the areas along the curb again had leaves. I guess they were being blown up and down the street.

Alex also mowed the back 40 and we both worked together on trimming the back 40. I told him that probably the rest of the yard work for this year will likely be removal of leaves from the yard and maybe weed pulling from the berry beds.

My favorite wife and I did work on the decorations yesterday, we are not yet done but we have made some progress, photo to follow.

In the first photo you might think I was attempting to show you the manger scene which I was allowed to put together, but I was attempting to show you that Molly the cat had jumped on top of the manger, you need to look close to see her there. The second photo is an overall view of the progress being made on the front yard.

Today, I am hoping for some rest, but I do know there are still some things we need to do. My favorite wife did get one of the trees in the house decorated last night, yep, she stayed up late working on the tree even after a long day of work outside.

We may go out for lunch today, and we will work on some of the decorations, but I hope for some rest throughout the day.

Getting closer to finished. 😊

Senior ole person who is really tired from the work, Don the Ford

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
