November 30, 2024

Hello, are you there? Hello, I can’t hear you, are you there. Well, I guess I will just say good morning and hope someone is there.

I want to start out with a photo of the sky over Hewitt taken this morning, and the sky is not on fire.

Yesterday was another do almost nothing day, we did go into Waco to the cheap store and the one item that I wanted which they advertised was already sold when we arrived. We did get a Christmas ornament for Alex to put on his Christmas tree, it had the Marine emblem on one side and the marine song printed on the other side. We stopped at a grocery store at about 10 minutes before 9:00 and it was not open. I guess they did not have any black Friday deals. We then headed for home.

Back at home I did very little for a while other than a nap, but when I woke up, I went to work, or maybe I just started doing some things. I did go to the shed and get the electric leaf vacuum and brought it to the garage to see if it still worked, it did. I know the leaves will be falling soon due to this cold weather we are having (34 degrees this morning). I did practice by vacuuming the leaves off the driveway.

After my practice session I put the vacuum away and got the pecan roller and picked up some acorns. I got a fair amount, that completed I decided to remove the debris from the front yard. It doesn’t take too much wind to have debris on the front yard. As I was picking up the debris, I noticed a bunch of acorns that I missed earlier. Nope, I did not go back and start over with the acorns.

We did sit outside for a short time yesterday; our friend came over and after a short outside time we ventured into the house. I did have a piece of raisin pie; I think I am the only one in our family who eats raisin pie.

Well, we have nothing planned for the day, my favorite wife is still working on decorating the inside of the house, and she has a few more things for the outside. I think all the electric items have been installed, and yes there are less than years past. I need to start putting all the empty cartons and not used decorations back in the shed, but that is really a lot of work.

I guess I will end this and wish you a safe and happy Saturday, the last day of the month. Wow, that means Christmas is coming.
