            It is Sunday and a good morning even though it is very cold outside and it is predicted to stay cold all day today.

            We did go to the wedding yesterday afternoon and it was very nice. We had a good time with friends after the wedding and the food was also good. I should note; the Ford Curse did prevail during the meal after the wedding. What? You haven’t heard of the Ford Curse, allow me to explain.

            “Ford Curse:” anyone named Ford, or anyone who is eating with a person named Ford, whether at home or at a restaurant, is subject to the Ford Curse. The Ford Curse states, “you will be subject to getting some of the food onto your clothing during the eating process. Not everyone, but someone will likely get food on their clothing.”            Trust me, this is real.

            Today’s events; we will attempt to stay inside where it is warm and not go outside into the cold. Having said that, we will likely go to the cracker store for lunch and on the way drop off a birthday card to Claire. I think she might be 22 years old, again.

            I did go out to the hot house this morning and turned the heater up a little bit, we want to keep it above freezing in there.

            I will stop now, try to stay warm and also be safe in all you do.

            Well, candy and flower day is over, and we are into our Saturday morning. We wish you and that other person too, a Good Morning.

            Even though this is Saturday it isn’t a normal Saturday, as we have a wedding to attend this afternoon. They are providing food this evening so that means we can save some money with free food. We might go into town this morning and if so, we will possibly have lunch at the usual place and the usual time (11:30).

            Did the Don accomplish anything yesterday? Well, he did get a nap, he did water the flowers in the hot house and even though it was cold outside it was warm in the hot house due to some sun light. The first photo is of the Christmas cactus which is still blooming. The second is of some blooming Bougainvillea.

             I did work on a foot stool for here in the ole office, and if I ever get it done, I will show a photo. If I get it done you will think that it is unusual.

I have several scrap wood bird house tops made, not the house just the tops, and I considered painting them yesterday but then decided to do it later. If the weather would warm up, and if I did not have other things to do, I could put the bird houses together.

Did I say we have had some lite rain last night and this morning, well we did get some rain but so for it has not been heavy. We are supposed to have a day in the mid-70s today and then back down below freezing tonight.

            Good morning and happy valentine’s day, we hope you have a nice and enjoyable day.

            It is above freezing outside but it is still cold so I will try to stay inside out of the cold weather. I do not need to take the kids to school today, they are out of school today and Monday. Now my favorite wife and I did very little yesterday although we did leave the house for a few minutes to get a cup of coffee for me, and a glass of tea for her. Back at home we stayed inside out of the cold.

            I think the week of nice warm weather we had kind of spoiled me. I don’t want this cold weather and I am anxious for the real spring to arrive, although I am not looking forward to a hot summer.

            I will attempt to leave the homestead today and take a couple valentine cards to the grand kids. My favorite wife usually goes to town on Fridays and she normally don’t want me to go with her as she considers me as being in the way.

            If it would warm up some I might work on some scrap wood bird houses, but only if it is warm enough.

            I was thinking about a word and how the word can be adjusted. The word is arm. Now most people have two arms, one left and one right. When we add to this word, we get different meanings, like adding pits, we get armpits. Yes, armpits are connected to one’s arm so that makes sense.

When we add a “y” to the word arm we get army. So, one letter changes the entire meaning of the word. We can add “or” to the word arm and we get armor. Now I assume in the olden days they carried metal shields on their arm and that is where armor came from. If we add “ory” to arm we get armory which has nothing to do with your arm.

Consider another word Armageddon, how does that have anything to do with one’s arm? Ok, I will stop with the words, and you can google the word Armageddon, if you do not know the meaning.

            Hello and good morning to you, we hope your day is starting nicely. It is cold and dark this morning and I like warm not cold.

            I did very little yesterday after getting the Alex to school on time, I returned home and did almost nothing. I did sit around for a while yesterday morning then I went to the Bank to get the weekly stipend. Oh, I have news. “Our income tax return is in our checking account at the bank.” I filed early and I now have over $110.00 in my checking account. I was so happy that I now have money in the account that I went to the Star coffee place and got a cup.

Back at home I did my daily reading from the bible and I did my homework later. I do my daily reading from my real bible and I have been using the phone when I work on the bible study homework. I have the bible app in the phone and it is very easy to find the pages I need for the homework.

Today, I plan to check the heater in the hot house, I would water the plants in the hot house today but it is too cold.

            I think it is a good morning even though it is still dark and it is raining. We have received close to an inch of rain and it is appreciated even though the cold weather isn’t appreciated.

            I will attempt to keep this posting short; we, being my favorite wife and I, did go to the eye doctor in temple yesterday morning. The weather was not good, it was raining and there were several areas on the interstate that were foggy. Driving at 60 mph in the rain and fog is not fun or safe. We did have a safe trip to the hospital where the eye doctor is located.

            Arriving at the hospital, I was not sure where we needed to go, as there are many entrances and buildings around the hospital. We drove around looking for the correct entrance. There were no parking spaces anywhere close to any of the entrances, and I did not remember where we had gone last time we were there. I dropped my favorite wife off at a door which I thought might be the correct door, and then I drove around the parking lots waiting on her to call me. It took a while and I went to pick her up. She had a map and they showed her on the map where to go. We tried to follow the map but did not find the eye clinic. We had driven around in the rain on the parking lot for 30 minutes and did not find anything.

            I said let’s go home, it is time for your appointment and we don’t know where to go. I started looking for a way to get off the parking lot which was enormous, and I found the eye clinic. I dropped my favorite wife off and then went to look for a place to park. When I finally had gotten into the building, I learned that they had already called Donna’s name for her appointment. The lady at the desk said they may have taken someone else in your place since you were not here when they called your name, she said she would check and see. The lady walked away from the desk and was gone a couple minutes. When she returned, she said have a seat they will see you.

            They called us back, she went through the normal tests and discussion with the doctor, which took in total a couple hours. Finally, we were done and we headed for home, it was not raining and the drive home was better than the drive down.

            Good rainy morning to all, we have received ¾ inch of rain over night and it is still raining. That is not great as I need to get the kid to school and I don't want them to get wet. Also I will take my favorite wife to the eye doctor this morning and she has a 9:30 appointment. This appointment is in Temple TX which is about 30 miles away so my favorite wife had better be ready as soon as I return home from dropping the kids off at school.

            Yesterday there were some dogs loose in the neighborhood, so we tried to call the animal control people but he / she was out of the office. A neighbor called the police and they eventually sent a officer to pick them up. We hope they go to their home safely.

            I did go to the star coffee place for a free cup of coffee yesterday.

We had a very interesting bible study meeting last night even though several were not there. When it is rainy several people do not come to the meeting.

            The sun isn’t up yet, and it is cloudy, but we still wish each of you a good morning. It is now wintertime again here in Hewitt and they are predicting rain with the cool, I mean cold weather.

            My favorite wife and I did almost nothing yesterday except rest, that is after we went to the cracker store for lunch and the Wally world for and item.

We did watch a little of the supper bowl,

            As you may see in the photo I was attempting to relax as I watched the supper bowl, and along that same line we did not have any supper so our supper bowl was empty. Now in truth, I did have a bowl of ice cream before bedtime.

            Now that we are into photos, I have another photo showing that Easter lilies are beginning to bloom.

            Today I plan to get the kids to school in a safe manner and on time, then do little or nothing the rest of the day until bible study time this evening.

            I will attempt to stop now, have a good day and stay safe in all you do.

            It is a bright and cheerful good morning, even though it is cooler than yesterday. Since no one asked why it is a cheerful good morning, and it is hurtful that no one cares, my response is just for me, so do not read the next sentence. My yard man Alex got the front yard cleaned up yesterday, and it looks very nice today!

            My favorite wife and I along with Alex did go into Waco yesterday for lunch and the food could have been better, we forgot to ask for cheese on the sandwiches. We did go to the cheap store where Alex found a 12 pack of tea that he likes to take to school for his lunch and my favorite wife purchased a bag of peppermints. We then headed for Alex’s home and delivered Alex safely to his home, we proceeded to our home where I took a needed nap.

            Later in the afternoon we did sit outside even though it was hot aka 87 degrees.

            Today’s opportunities: have lunch at the cracker store and the rest of the day we have no plans other than resting. Will we watch the football show this afternoon; we may watch a few minutes of it, but it is not one of our major anticipations. Why sit there and watch people who get paid ridiculous amounts of money, run into each other and maybe throw a football.
