Tres and Vet 01.11.18

It was a sad Wednesday at the Ford Homestead, as we had to take the Tres to the vet today! As an underprivileged, retired, senior citizen, it is difficult for me to understand why, “I can go to the doctor for less out of pocket, than taking the Tres to the vet”!
The Tres has had an itching problem since he was about three months old. We have taken him to the vet several times and each time it is very costly. The Tres is now on a special diet and is not allowed to have even a small bite from our table. L                      Photo to follow.
Tres is now 9.5 months old and weighs 73.5 pounds. In the above photo he was taking a break after helping me bring the push mower back to the shed. The vet said, Tres’ skin looks good, and the vet had no answer to why he scratches, must be some allergy. The vet put the Tres on a special diet (expensive food).
We will have the electrical power disconnected here at the Ford Homestead for the next two months, which should provide us with enough money to pay the vet. I just can’t ask my present spouse to get out and put in an extra effort looking for aluminum cans. She gets very little sleep now, due to her almost constant searching for cans! I think we can do without the electricity for the next two months (I have observed an outlet on the back of the neighbor’s home which I might be able to access without being seen.) It is tough when you are retired and on a small fixed income. (Donations may be sent to our web site, it is suggested a minimum of 25 dollars per donation!)
I have another photo, it is of the Charlie. We have removed the rest of the decorations from the front yard and now our garage is filled with the decorations. We will need to pack them and move them to the shed, possibly this weekend. This weekend we have a predicted cold front coming, the temp is supposed to be too cold for seniors to work outside!
Charlie was using one of the decorations as a resting place.
I know the photo isn’t very clear, it was taken with the Ford’s old cell phone. I will have a talk with the Ford Homestead’s head photographer about better photos!
Hope you don’t have a vet bill!

Don Ford
