            It is a cool 43 degrees this morning but we still wish you a good morning. Plans for today, do nothing other than get the grandkid to school on time and safely.

            Did I do anything yesterday, yes but even though I needed to, I didn’t want to, that is pull some weeds from the #2 berry bed. Now I did not get them all, and yes, I was on my knees attempting to remove these weeds, and I did fill the trash can I had with me with these weeds. Why did I pull these weeds, because my favorite wife was pulling weeds from a flower bed so I did not want her to feel as if she had to work alone.

            We did go out for supper and later we did sit outside for about one hour enjoying the quiet neighborhood. Since you did not ask what I had for supper, I will inform you anyway. I had the chicken fajitas and they were good as usual. There is a thing that happens when I have the fajitas, as one may know, they are delivered to the table very hot and they have steam coming off them they are so hot. Well, the smell of the fajitas gets into my shirt and when I get home, I can smell the fajitas, so does Tres.  

            Different topic, our neighbors all seem to be wealthy as they do things like cruses several times each year, and most have really nice vehicles to drive. One neighbor had a camping trailer that he can pull behind his really nice big pickup, but he has plans to sell the trailer now that he has purchased a convertible. Wow neighbors who can do and have all these really nice things, I am glad I live in this neighborhood.

            Well, I need to stop for now and get started over to the grandkids house, so I will say, “have a good day and please stay safe in all you do”.

            It seems to be a good morning here in Hewitt, and we assume the sun will be coming up soon. I am making a late start this morning as I woke up later than usual. I will stop soon and then restart this soon to be boring, I mean interesting posting. 

Did the Don do anything yesterday; he did take a short nap before heading out to get gas in the Ford’s ole Chevy, and while out he got a free cup of coffee from the star coffee place. Yes, he had enough points for a free cup.

When he returned home, cup in hand, he did his daily reading from the bible. When that was completed, he decided to water the plants in the hot house. You probably know, after watering the things in the hot house he started watering the berry beds and the flower beds. He even brought the plants out of the garage where they have been stored all winter in hibernation, and he also watered them.

As usual, there was debris in the back 40 from all the crazy winds we have been having, so he picked up as much as he could find, and he also trimmed some dead from the #3 berry bed. Mr. Ford also distributed bird food to some locations in the back 40, the birds seemed to appreciate that. The Don also went to the front yard where he filled the two bird baths with water and watered a few flowers. Speaking of flowers, we had one blooming and I have a photo.

            We did sit outside for a while even though it was very windy, and it was a little cooler than usual. When we decided to return to the house, I was allowed to bring the flowers back into the garage as the temp last night was going to be down into the upper 30s.

Well now you know, the Don did nothing interesting again yesterday.

Different topic: allow me to define the word “Habits”, as I see it a habit is, “doing the same thing, the same way, at the same time, every day”. Now some of us don’t think that we are habitual creatures, but we are. For that person who does not believe, try eating a meal one hour earlier or one hour later, or don’t watch the TV show that you usually watch, or just turn the TV off for a couple hours and read something at a time when you normally watch TV.

I was thinking about how changing my daily routine is very difficult so I thought I would comment in this posting.

            It is a good but dark morning here in Hewitt, aka, the sun isn’t up yet.

            My story for the day is about how wild our neighborhood is. Now wild does not refer to the neighbors and their actions during the evening hours, as most of the neighbors are retired and they do not usually go out at night. I should note that some of the retired neighbors have cameras recording the events outside their home’s day and night.

            In this soon to be wonder filled and informative story, you will learn of the reason a couple of my neighbors have contacted me and informed me of some late-night events. They have suggested that I might want to review our videos looking for something they found as interesting. These neighbors have cameras that alert them of activity outside their home’s day and night.

            Now in my latest notification a neighbor suggested I might want to review video from Tuesday morning at 3:26am. I followed the suggestion and found nothing in the video which looked over my front yard, the street in front of our home and in the direction of the neighbor’s home. I sat there watching the monitor for possibly 20 minutes and saw nothing. Then it came to me, daylight saving time, my video was probably on regular time, which meant I needed to watch at 2:26 instead of 3:26, and I also needed to change the time on our security cameras.  

            I then reviewed the video at 2:26am and there it was, a coyote in the front yards of our neighbors’ homes. The coyote went through there yards up the street and out of the site of my cameras. My neighbors have been seeing this wild coyote the last few nights. I wonder where the coyote stays during the day.

            I guess I need to think about getting the grand kid to school this morning and not about the coyote. I did learn that the last average freeze in the Hewitt area is the last week of this month. Now that don’t mean there will not be any late freezes, just the normal last freeze is the last week of the month. I want to get the flowers out but I am reluctant to get them out yet.

            Well, I guess that is it for today, we hope everyone has a good day and that we are all safe in all we do.

            Good morning to all, we hope you have a good day.

            I did nothing yesterday and may do very little today. I need to get the Alex and take him to school this morning, and other then that I have no plans for the day. I will need to do my bible study homework and I may ask my favorite wife if she wants to go out for breakfast.

            Lately as we sat outside, we have seen a woodpecker pecking on a neighbor’s tree. I have two photos, one of the bird and one of the hole. Yes, we have an exciting life here at the Fords home.

            Well, I will stop for now and we hope you have a good day while you stay safe in all you do.

            We wish each of you a good morning and hope you have a productive and safe day. It is St. Patrick’s Day, but it has nothing to do with our son, “Patrick Ford”, at least I don’t think it has anything to do with him. 

            We had a good day yesterday; we did venture forth for lunch out and returning home my favorite wife did make a Cherry Cheesecake, which I enjoyed later in the afternoon. My favorite wife and I did put some easter type decorations out in the yard yesterday. I did water the black berry beds and a couple, flower beds yesterday.

            We did sit outside yesterday afternoon during happy hour as we enjoyed the nice weather. I did bring a flower from the so-called hot house and sat it near the swing where we sit in the afternoons. The flower had several blooms on it while in the hot house and it has several more budding out, so I brought it to our resting area so we may see the blooms when they open. If the cold weather returns, I will bring the flower into the garage.

            I have a photo to share with you and it is of our first grasshopper this year. We have not named him yet; suggestions will be accepted.

            School is back in session starting today, so I will be picking up Alex and maybe Gabi to take to school in a few minutes. I guess we are back on regular schedule with school and bible study all starting today.

            It is a bright and clear good morning here In Hewitt, and the wind is not blowing at this time. The wind was very difficult yesterday but we have made it through the day without too many problems. Speaking of the wind, there was a dust storm that came with the winds and everything that was outside is covered in the dust. All the vehicles had a thick coat of dust on them and every car wash had lines of vehicles waiting to get in and get washed.

Yesterday I did get to speak to the lady next door and told her I had removed three large limbs from her yard. She seemed surprised as she looked at the yard, I assume she had not noticed the big limbs were missing. I suggested that her boys could break the small limbs, which I did not take, into small pieces and put them in the trash. She did thank me.

            My favorite wife and I did go into town yesterday for lunch and we did stop at the cheap store where she purchased one item, that I think cost a couple dollars.

            Back at home I did nothing for a while, aka nap time, and my favorite wife was out front changing some decorations. Later I did go out and reposition the big heavy bird bath (about 100 pounds) I put water in it and another bird bath, which I leveled, for the residences of the bird houses.

A friend came over and brought some sausage rolls and cheese sticks which we enjoyed as we sat outside even though the wind was blowing like crazy.

We have no plans for today other then maybe have lunch at the cracker store.

Next week we are back on schedule which means school will be back in session and bible study will also be back in session. I think I have my homework for bible study finished, maybe I should check.

Well, I guess you now know everything I know, so I will say have a good day, be nice to old people, and stay safe in all we do.

            I think it is a good morning; the sun isn’t up yet but it is warm outside. I need to get out and connect the trailer to the Ford’s ole Chevy and then take the tree limbs to the Hewitt recycle site.

            Yesterday was a good day, Alex came over and mowed the back 40 and then we decided he should mow the front yard even though there was no grass growing in it. We lowered the mower a couple notches and he was basically cutting the dead grass from last year.

In the olden days, when I was a “children”, back in Missouri, in the spring just before the grass started turning green people would burn the dead grass and in a few days the yard would be green. I know, we aren’t allowed to do that now days, I was just telling you an ole memory.

I used the string trimmer to remove a few weeds that the riding mower missed. I should say, the yards look good and all the work was done without any injuries.

We did go into Waco after all that work for a sandwich and then Alex returned home. It was a good day.

My favorite wife and I did sit outside in the heat yesterday, and no friends dropped by so we were lonely until the neighbor’s granddaughter came over. She wanted to give Tres some treats. She likes to see him sit for the treat.

            The day has started off good, and we hope you have a good morning or good afternoon, depending on when you read this.

            Yesterday was an uneventful day, I did water the flowers in the hot house, and I wish we could get them out of the hot house. I do have a photo of a blooming flower in the hot house.

             After I water the plants in the hot house, I watered other flowers and the 3 berry beds. I did strap the limbs down on the trailer and checked the tire pressure in both the trailer and the truck. 

            My favorite wife and I did go out for supper and it was good, I have leftovers for a meal here at the homestead.

            Today my plan is to bring our yard man Alex over and let him mow and trim the back 40. We do have grass and weeds grown back there. I want to pull the trailer up to the gate as tomorrow is the day to haul the limbs off and it will be easier to hook up to it in the morning when it is at the gate.

            I have no other big Friday plans so I will say have a good day and be safe in all you do.
