It is now Saturday, are you still celebrating the Holiday? I noted to my favorite wife that we did not get invited to anyone's house for some holiday BBQ, then my favorite wife said to me, we didn't invite anyone to our house for some holiday BBQ either. 😐
On a sad note, we learned that one of our neighbors had been put on Hospice.
What did the Don do yesterday, well, let's see. He got up earlier than usual and he watched the so-called news. Then he decided he wasn't going to work on a blog yesterday, so he just decided he'd go get him a cup of coffee at the star coffee place. When he returned home with that Real Coffee, he just sat around and sipped on it for a little while. He went and crawled in his chair and tried to go to sleep. The problem is that sleeping is hard to do when you're snorting and coughing. The problem with his coughing is that the drainage from his nose runs down into his throat and makes him cough.
I would like to tell you that he also went outback, got the gas grill out, opened it up, cleaned it all out good, it hadn't been used in a while. I would like to tell you he did a really good job of cleaning it. He then fired it up, shut the top down and let it get good and hot. Also, I'd like to tell you that his favorite wife brought some steaks, and he put those steaks on that grill. Steaks smell good when they are cooking on the grill. When they finished grilling, they were cooked medium, you know some pink meat in the center. Wait a minute, let's change that. The Don didn't go out back to the grill, the grill hasn't been used in probably two or three years, he just made that up to see if that would get your interest. Don had a salad for lunch, yeah, a salad. Is a salad a holiday meal?
We did get rain again Thursday and Friday, and they're calling for more rain. Things are very wet, so I assume we will not be mowing the yards today. We sat on the front porch Thursday due to the wet weather. We noticed a bird that seemed to not be afraid of us. This bird landed above where we were sitting and sat up there looking at us, yes, I have a photo.
TODAY: I went to the doctor this morning and I do have pinkeye. Yesterday I went all day without any real medical problems, yes, I was still sneezing and coughing some and, in the afternoon, I took a nap. When I woke from the nap, I had some mucus in my right eye. I would remove it and it would immediately return. This morning I washed my eyes and headed to the Urgent Care. I will be getting some meds for the pinkeye and my coughing.
Well, I guess I will stop for now, we hope you have a very good day and that we all stay safe in all we do.
