We wish you a good morning, we may get some rain and possible storms today.
I checked with our yard man Alex Friday, to see if he could come over Saturday and do some yard work. Alex has plans for Saturday so I decided to do the work myself.
I started out by trimming the weeds along the fence and around all the flower beds and sheds. That work took about one hour. Then I drank a bunch of water and rested for a couple minutes before picking up the dog droppings from the yard. The grass was tall and made it difficult to see the Poopa-Loopa.
That process completed I decided to get the riding mower and check it over. The mowing went well, I was happy that there were some clouds in the area and there was an occasional puff of wind to help cool this ole body. The entire process took about 2.5 hours, and the yard looks as good as if Alex had done the work.
My favorite wife and I did sit outside yesterday afternoon and the neighborhood was quiet with no traffic on the street. We went inside after happy time and had a lite supper. I was heading into the bed room and the power went off. I called a neighbor and asked if they had power and they did not. I called a friend one street over and they did not have power either, he explained that there was a wire down and they were working on fixing the problem. They told him the power might be on by 9:30pm.
My favorite wife and I sat on the front porch and neighbors were also sitting outside in their yards. We received calls from other neighbors asking if we had power. It took about 1.5 hours to get the power back on.
Big plans for today are to have a sandwich for lunch in Waco, and stop at the cheap store. We will take it easy and see if anything interesting occurs.
