We hope you are having a good morning and that your day will be even better.
Yesterday was my favorite wife's birthday, and she had a good day and lunch with friends. I did not get to go with my favorite wife for lunch yesterday as I was having some vertigo problems. We also had an early birthday breakfast with friends on Tuesday. I did very little yesterday due to the dizziness, but I did water the flowers in flowerpots yesterday afternoon and we replanted a couple flowers.
We did sit out on the front porch yesterday afternoon and it was hot, along with the humidity which was very high. My favorite wife did get a couple calls from friends as we sat outside and one couple who are our neighbors, stopped and wished her a happy birthday. I did put some fire ant killer out on a couple beds of ants. I have a photo of a flower so I will insert it in this post.
Today is Thursday and it is supposed to be hot again. I guess summer is actually here and we will be hitting the 100s before long. I did leave the homestead this morning and went to the bank to get our weekly stipend, we use to get $5.00 weekly, now, with the price increases, we get $8.00 weekly.
When I returned home this morning, I did sweep up the grass clippings from the street. When I mowed the other day there was some water running down the street and the grass clipping were in the water, so I did not try to clean them up, but it was dry this morning, so I swept the street. I also have two more flower photos from this morning. The first is of blooming flowers, and the other seems to be of a blooming weed. I think it was Johnson grass, but I have never seen it bloom. Yes, I pulled it up.
