Holidays!!!

            What would we do without holidays?

 

               Labor Day is here and it is time for all who labor to take the day off and enjoy some rest and relaxation.

               I would like to examine that statement.

               First, it is a state law that only those who actually labor can take the day off. You need to get back to work because you and I both know you don’t labor.

               You should be ashamed to take the day off and you are probably being paid to take the day off. It isn’t fair that you get paid for being away from work. Shame on you.

               Second, you are supposed to enjoy the time off. Now let’s think about it, are you enjoying the day or is it somewhat stressful?  I know you and you are not enjoying yourself, are you.

               Third, you are supposed to relax. The term relax seems to means different things to different people. I will tell you how to relax, sit down (either inside or outside) and do nothing. No cooking, cleaning, picking up, mowing, sweeping and don’t wash the car.  You are allowed to watch TV or read a book but nothing else. There is one exception, you may potty.

 

Enjoy the day off and if you are working I hope you are getting double time pay.
