Good morning to everyone we hope your day is starting off well the sun's not up yet but I think we're going to have a nice day.
Yesterday's events: Well, the day started off a little later than we had been starting, since I no longer needed to take Alex to football practice, I needed to get him to school about 8:00. He has dropped out of football and taken another class which I think is something along the lines of Professional Communications. I probably have the title wrong, but it has to do with communicating in a professional manner. After dropping Alex off at school, I decided I would attempt to drive through all the traffic up Hewitt drive to the star coffee place and get a cup. Traffic was crazy as school was getting started and everybody were taking their kids to school or going to work. I got there to the star coffee place and got a cup and was amazed on the way home, traffic had reduced to more or less normal.
Back at home I started my very small post yesterday as I still had that large bandage on my face and it would get in front of my eyes which made it difficult to look down and see things down on the left side of my eye.
I did take it easy during the rest of the day as I had an appointment, or I thought I had an appointment, to go to the doctor to get that big bandage removed from my face. I had gotten ready to go a little while ahead of time and was sitting here at the house when I got a call from the doctor and she said, "I tried to call anybody that's had surgery within 48 hours to see how they are doing". I said, "well I'm supposed to be out there at 1:00 for you to remove this bandage from my face and review the incision". The records did not show that I was supposed to be there, so she said, "why don't you come on out right now". I got up got out of the house and went straight on out there.
Arriving there at the doctor's office I learned that my schedule for today had been deleted due to somebody who has the same name as me, and who had been there after me. One of the ladies went to my file instead of his file and took the appointment off.
The nurse got me into the room and removed the bandage from my face, along with the item that was stuffed in my nostril. She removed it and I could breathe again, "nice". The doctor came in and checked me out and said it looked good, and she wanted me to come back on Monday so she could remove the stitches. I now have an appointment for Monday.
The new bandage they put on me is very small, easy to handle, I can look down and see things on the floor I can read now so I'm in a much better mood.
My favorite wife and I sat outside yesterday afternoon for quite a while even though it was threatening rain, we did not get the rain we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood talking about oddball things. And that's my story about yesterday.
Plans for today; our big plans for today are to try to take it easy and we hope to go out to lunch with some friends celebrating one of the friend's birthdays. I will attempt to get Alex over to school on time this morning safely I hope, and I will probably procure a cup of coffee on my way home. I started working on this posting yesterday afternoon, and I don't have a lot to add this morning.
