I would like to say good morning to all, but is it? I started the new computer and for some reason it came to a halt and I can not get it to respond in any way. Ok, it may not be the best morning as I must enter any data by the ole key board, but I still want to wish you a good morning.
The new computer seems to be locked in some mode and I can’t make it do anything including shut it off.
Let’s stop thinking about the other computer and see what I can provide that could be interesting, or at least something for you to read.
Yesterday’s events: we did drive to Temple Texas to visit with my favorite wife’s eye doctor, and that all went well. On the way home from Temple we could see lots of dark clouds in the sky. As we came closer to Hewitt (our town) we received a little rain, but nothing impressive. Once we were back in Hewitt it was raining but not very hard. When we arrived at the homestead, I checked the rain gage and we had ½ inch of rain in it. It must have been raining all the time we were gone and it was still raining. Later in the morning I checked the rain gage again and we had a little over ¾ of an inch, nice!
In the afternoon my favorite wife and I went to the grocery stores to get a few things. Returning home, it was time for us to go outside and relax. Since it had rained, we decided to sit on the front porch rather than the drive way. As usual we had no friends to talk with and we learned that our friends who live across the street have started another vacation. This time we understand they are visiting the national parks like Yellow Stone.
I have a photo of some clouds and the photo isn’t as good as seeing it in person. The gray cloud is in front of the cloud that is reflecting the sun light.
Today’s plans: as I had stated previously, we did get ¾ inch of rain yesterday and it was needed but, it may cause a problem too. I need to get the trailer out of the back yard as Dave wants me to bring it to his house so they can load some limbs and trash on it, and then we would take it to the dump on Saturday. Saturday, we are also planning to go out for lunch with Patrick, Karla, Dave, Claire and Alex, so we need to get to the dump early. I do not want to drive the pickup truck out into the yard, that will make tracks in the yard due to the wet ground. I have another option and that is, get the riding mower out and use it to pull the trailer to the gate where I can hook it up to the truck. Taking the trailer to Daves house is easy, backing it into his drive way which is on a big incline is difficult.
I did go to the Star coffee place this morning and I got a free cup of coffee; it was free as this is my birthday. On the way home from getting the coffee I stopped at the teller machine and got our weekly stipend. Returning home my new computer basically locked up and it is still not working.
Since this is Thursday, we will likely go out for supper this evening and later we will go to the funeral home for the viewing of our neighbor.
Wow, lots to do on a day that I would like to just take it easy. I guess I will stop for now we hope you have a good day and stay safe in all we do.
Clouds… Don the Ford
May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
