Good morning, well we hope it is a good morning for all, it seems to be a good morning here at the Ford house. The temperature is in the low 50 starting out the day and we are said to get to the low 80s this afternoon.
What happened at the Fords yesterday: I did put the larger limbs on the trailer in prep for this Saturday, as it is limb and trash day. We can haul the limbs to the cities dump site and they will take them. Dave has a bunch of bags of leaves that he has picked up at his house and after I take the limbs to the site I will go to Dave’s, and he will load the bags on the trailer along with some other items and we will take them to the dump site.
Yesterday I did get the string trimmer and trimmed the front yard. I was about ¾ of the way done when I ran out of string. I had to put more string on the trimmer which slowed down my work cycle. After the trimming I did mow the yard and it looks pretty good, photo of part of the yard.
I did clean all the grass clippings up along with a bunch of brown debris from the oak trees, which was everywhere. The blower allowed me to push most of the debris into a couple areas and then I took a broom and swept the debris into the trash can. The street and walkways look clean.
Since I was out in the yard, I was able to hear the baby birds in several of the bird houses. Yes, we have baby birds in probably all of the houses. I did put out some bird food in several feeders and the birds were happy.
While I was cleaning the neighbor’s driveway, yes, I had blown some debris onto her drive, I saw a baby turtle. I first thought it was alive, but I learned quickly, it was not alive. Now I think it was a snapping turtle, and I assume it had come from the ditch behind the house. It was very little to have made that long trip.
A young man came by wanting to sell something and I told him no thinks, while we were talking, he noticed my wooden cross that I ware, and he asked if I made it. I said I did, and he seemed to really like it so I said I would give him one if he wanted, it and he did. He had a neckless and he put the wood cross on his neckless. I explained that I wear mind to tell people that I believe. As he was leaving, I said I hoped he would be blessed.
My favorite wife and I along with the Tres and molly, aka dog and cat, did sit outside for about 1.5 hours yesterday. The weather was good, and the neighborhood was quiet except for the birds, and they were making noise.
Well, I guess you know everything now, we hope your day is fun and safe.
A senior workday.
Senior ole person who don’t like to work because he is too old… Don the Ford.
May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
