April 14, 2025

We are back at the start of the week, so we wish all a good morning and a happy day. We had a good day yesterday; I will provide some input in this posting.

My favorite wife and I had decided that we would go to the Cracker store in Bellmead since we use to go there every Sunday, and then they built one here in Hewitt which changed things. We were wondering if any of the people who worked there when we use to go, were still there. We arrived and did not have to wait too long to be seated. Shortly after we were seated one of the people we knew came to our table and gave my wife a hug and shook my hand. We could only talk for a few minutes as they were busy. Then a couple minutes later a lady we also knew from the past came tour table and gave us both a hug.

During our conversation she commented on the little wooden cross that I wear, she said she liked it. I asked if she would want one, and she said she would. I reached into my pocket and pulled one of the small wooden crosses out of my pocket and gave it to her. I did get a big hug and a thank you.

Prior to going to the cracker store it came to me to take an extra cross with me just in case someone would want one.

Other events for the day: arriving back at home after lunch I was able to rest from all the strain of eating all that good food. Then it was decided that we would attempt to wash the dog, and he seemed to like it. After the washing of the dog my favorite wife pulled some weeds and trimmed a bush in the back 40, while I cleaned the hummingbird feeders. I also filled them with a red sweet liquid and rehung them in their places.

I also picked up sticks from the back 40, yes there was sticks on the ground again, never any rest for ole people, and I have a photo.

I believe these were cut and left hanging in the tree when the tree trimmers were here, and they were blown out due to the heavy wind yesterday. I did get a photo of a rose.

We did sit outside yesterday afternoon enjoying a restful time and the very nice weather. I guess I should stop and go get Alex for school, we hope you have a very nice day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

Pretty blooms.

Senior ole person who seems to be a good photographer, Don the Ford

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
