April 20, 2025

Is it a good morning? Yes, it is a good rainy morning! I did check the Ford’s ole expensive rain gage and it has ¼ inch of rain. I am sure we would have liked to have more rain, but we are thankful for what we have gotten.

I will attempt to briefly explain what the Fords did yesterday. Yesterday morning we drove over to Daves house to give some Easter cards to Gabi and Alex. We did get to talk with everyone for a while and during the conversations Alex asked if he could go to lunch with us.

We approved his joining our venture in to Waco for a sandwich, and lunch was good. We did go to the cheap store where I bought a charger for rechargeable batteries. It cost less than $5.00 and it came with 4 batteries. My wife purchased something that cost $1.00 then we headed to our homestead and Alex was with us. His mother and sister were going to come over to use my printer so he said he would ride back home with them.

Back at home, I got on the ole recliner and kicked back, while Alex went outside and sat on the swing waiting for his mother. After a while I went out to Alex and asked if he wanted me to take him home since his mother had not yet arrived, he said yes.

Back at the homestead I decided to install the new flag. It has not been flown prior to this, and since it was breezy I thought it would be a good time to fly it. Yep, I have a photo.

As you may see, the flag was being moved by the wind and Tres was sitting there looking at my favorite wife. The main reason he will sit and stare at someone is if they have something to eat. I think my favorite wife had some nuts to eat and Tres likes nuts.

Later I was asked to do some carpet work. Now I have never really work on carpet so I was not sure that I could accomplish the task my favorite wife had proposed. It did not take too long after I determined how and what to do.

I do have another photo taken while we were sitting outside yesterday afternoon. We did have a visitor drop by for a while; she lives down the street from us. It is always interesting when a friend stops by, but I also note that many conversations are about aches and pains and doctor visits. I guess that is because we are all getting old.

Well, I guess I should stop for now but first let me post the photo of the carpet work I did.

The carpet was the item my favorite wife purchased Saturday for a dollar at the cheap store, and it has been installed on the leg of the swing set to keep the cat Molly from scratching in it. Miss Molly has a tendency to scratch the leg of the swing set. after anyone would pet her, and since the swing set has been painted my Favorite wife decided to try and keep Molly from scratching the leg.

Today, we are not going out for lunch, my favorite wife is cooking a small meal just for the to of us.

Ok, now I will stop, we hope you have a good Easter and stay safe in all you do.

Carpet man.

Senior ole person who can do many things but not too good, Don the Ford

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
