Could I have been wrong? 11.13.15

It wasn’t my fault, it was due to Friday 13th!
I presented you with a photo of a reflection of the sun in a cloud. It appeared to be the sun shining through the cloud when in fact it was a reflection of the sun. I took the photo because it was a reflection in the cloud along with a rainbow effect.
When I looked at the photo this morning I thought I was wrong and it was the sun shining through the cloud. So I mistakenly indicated that it was the sun shining through a cloud.
This afternoon as I sat on my rocker, I looked toward the sunset and the sun was in a totally different location, so the photo was in reality a reflection in the cloud and not the direct sun shining through.
The sun is off the photo to the right and it is a reflection in the cloud.

My first mistake, again.

Not a Bow 11.13.15

As you may know, today is Friday 13th. I have been looking through some of my old notes in an attempt to help a friend find his work notes on a particular subject from a few years back.
I looked through some notes and old power points that were created by me for my employer. It was kind of a trip down memory lane. I noticed that there was several safety related items that I had pointed out which needed attention. Then I thought, was I totally negative during my visits and reviews? Possibly, the management team thought I was too negative, but I also found notes that were complimentary of the Centers. No I was not too negative.
Anyway, I was able to help a little.
I am not superstitious about Friday 13th, but I will be cautious today, and I will tell you why.
This morning as I was in my walking while meditating exercise program, I noticed a female subject walking on my street at this early hour. I recognized the person and wondered why she was walking alone, as she usually walked with her mother and father.
She walked up to her parents’ home, and opened the garage door, got in the car and drove away. I then began to thing, were they all three walking and someone had gotten hurt?
About 10 minutes later the vehicle returned with three people inside. Two of the occupants got out of the vehicle but the third had to be helped out. It was the female subject’s mother that needed the help. She was hopping on one foot, apparently having hurt her leg or foot.
Remember it is Friday 13th, was this injury due to Friday the 13th?
I will leave the answer to that question, up to you.

Different subject:
I was talking with a friend yesterday afternoon. Yes, I do have a friend, don’t start asking those silly questions. As we were discussing world events, I noticed a phenomenon and quickly retrieved my cell phone to get a photo.
Did you know you can also make phone calls on today’s smart phones? I don’t think I have seen anyone make a call lately, they mostly text, read email, and take photos with these devices.
Anyway, I took this amazing photo that I want to share with you.

At first glance one would think it was just a photo of the sun shining through a cloud. What was neat, but hard to see in this photo, there was a rainbow effect just to the right side of the sun. Bright and pretty but no bow in this view.
            Different subject:
Gabi went on a field trip to a museum were she was the news person (above photo, she is sitting at the table).
In the photo above, she is blowing a large bubble.
They had a lot of fun, photos by Granny and her smart phone.

I hope your Friday (the 13th) is good!

Ford's Chevy 11.11.15

This is a follow-up to the 11.03.15 post.
Although we have not yet received our new license plate we have received the new step for the pickup. As expected, the step is just the right height for Alex to use when entering the vehicle. He usually jumps out, so the step is not important for his egress.
Chevy sales person calls them steps, I call them nerf bars.
Chevy gave us a full tank of Gas, and it is now down to ¼ tank. When it gets to empty we will need to stop driving the vehicle unless we get some donations. Being on a fixed income makes it difficult to purchase additional supplies.
The Chevy on the right is a full sized Silverado, the one on the left is the Ford’s new pickup. Even though our truck is smaller, it isn’t too much smaller.

I hope your day is outstanding!

Chapter 5 Time Travel Understood 11.10.15

Day two for Freddy, still visiting with himself back in the past.
Today is Thanksgiving and the Freddys decided to go out for lunch then come back to the apartment to play some video games. During lunch Freddy one was attempting to sell the idea to Freddy two that he should not kill anyone. He was pointing out how much nicer his life would be if he did not have to worry all the time about the police finding him.
All the time that Freddy one was preaching how good it would be to never have killed someone, Freddy two was thinking, it isn’t fair that Freddy one got to kill 3 people, but he doesn’t want me to kill anyone!
Back at the apartment they got the game box out and were ready to play the game. Both Freddys were wondering who might win since they both thought just alike. Will they make the same moves, will they have the same defenses, only time would tell.
It didn’t take too long for them to find the answer. It wasn’t any fun at all. It was like someone playing checkers alone, he knew all the moves and it wasn’t any fun!
After some more preaching from Freddy one, it was decided that they would watch TV. At least they could agree on what to watch as they both were of the same mind.
The day passed slowly and there were repeated conversations about why it would be good to not kill anyone.

Freddy one was beginning to realize that Freddy two was not responding to his repeated requests to agree to never kill anyone. What can I do to convince him to my way of thinking, thought Freddy one.
What if I can’t convince him to never kill anyone, what do I do then?
Could I take him back to the future with me, which would guarantee that he hasn’t killed, but not guarantee that he wouldn’t!
Is it possible to take him with me?
Is there room in the time machine for both of us?
If I take him to the future, will he kill someone in the future?
If he did the police might come after me thinking it was me. What do I do?
If I can’t get him to agree, I could kill him and make it look like suicide. The DNA and finger prints would be the same. Freddy one did not like the idea of killing himself, but, it was a possible solution to his problem.

Night had finally came and it was nearing 8:00pm. Two decided he would go get his supper at the quick shop. One gave him some money and asked him to bring his supper also.
Two went to get their supper of hot dogs, chips and grape soda. Arriving at the quick shop the clerk asked, where is your brother? Two, not thinking said, “He isn’t my brother he is me from the future”.
The old lady knew she had a real nut case on her hand and she reached for her gun. She didn’t show the gun but it was ready if she needed it.
Two gathered up the 4 hot dogs, the bags of BBQ chips and the two grape sodas, then walked to the cash register. He lay everything on the counter and reached in his jacket pocket for his money. The old lady mistook his reaching for the money thinking he had a weapon and she pointed her gun at him.
Surprised, two grabbed at the gun and it went off. He was able to get the gun away from her and that is when he realized that he had been shot. She had shot him in the stomach.
As he stood there in shock, they both were looking at the blood coming from his belly. Two did not say anything. He turned the gun on the old lady and without saying a word shot her one time in the stomach. She doubled over and fell to the floor. He then walked around behind the counter and shot her again, this time in the head.
Two then put his food in a sack along with the gun and walked to his apartment.
What is wrong with you”, asked one. “I got the hot dogs for free”, said two. “What, that old woman gave you the food for free”, asked one. “Not exactly”, said Two, “She don’t know she gave it to me for free, she is dead”, replied two!”
There was a moment of silence and then one screamed, “What? Say you didn’t kill that old woman, please”! I did and I have her gun
You took her gun! Don’t you know the police can use the gun as evidence that you were at the scene?”
Two asked, “How will they know I have it”. One said, “Don’t you know all those quick shops have cameras, they probably have video of you killing the old woman”.
I never thought of that” replied two. “Your right, you never thought”, said one as he took the gun from the food sack.
At that moment he noticed blood on the sack and looked at two saying, “you have the old woman’s blood on the sack”?
Not exactly”, said two as he open his jacket. “The old lady shot me when I grabbed the gun from her”. Freddy one said, “Sit down here and let me look at the wound”. It was bad, two had lost a lot of blood and the bullet had gone through him and out his back.
One asked if it hurt, and two said, “Not really”. One knew the wound was bad and he believed that two saying it didn’t hurt, probably meant it was real bad.
One knew that two didn’t have a first aid kit, so he asked two to lie down and said he would go to the drug store and get some bandages.
One was gone about 25 minutes. When he returned, he found two, on the floor dead.
Although one would have preferred this to have turned out differently, the death of two was a solution to his problem.
The police would find two and know he had killed the old lady. With Two dead, he can’t kill anyone else, so one would be free to live a normal life in the future, all his problems were solved.

Bird, Butterfly and me 11.06.15

The afternoon had come and I was outside sitting on the old rocker in a vegetative state meditative state. I had a cool refreshing beverage in hand, as I observed nature all around me.
I had noticed over the last two days that our cat Molly had tried, but failed, to catch a small brown butterfly.  She would sneak up on this winged bug, but he would fly away quickly. Then she would jump up in the air several feet trying to get this member of the Lepidoptera family.  That is the scientific name for butterflies and moths of which there are said to be over 175,000 species.
This same Lepidoptera would land on the neighbor’s home, then molly would sneak over to their house and jump up on their wall, always missing the bug. I thought she was just an inexperienced hunter, which caused her to miss the butterfly.
Butterfly, who the heck named them butterfly? They do not look anything like butter or a fly, why weren’t they named something else?
Back to my observations. Today Charlie, and experienced hunter, walked over to the edge of the driveway and lay down. All of a sudden he sprang into the air attempting to eradicate this little brown Lepidoptera.
It was the same butterfly that Molly had been attempting to catch. This Lepidoptera was fast and Charlie kept missing. After a couple minutes I noticed something that I found very interesting.
This little butter fly would fly away from Charlie usually going to the end of the drive way. Then the Lepidoptera would return to Charlie’s location. As with any good predator, Charlie would attempt to secure the target, but unsuccessfully I must report.
Here is the interesting part, the butterfly would fly down at Charlie in what seemed to be an effort to get him to attack. This butterfly liked to play and would intentionally buzz the cat to get him to react. I found that interesting and odd!
Different subject, but also a nature event.
As I was enjoying a second cup of coffee on the front veranda here at The Ford Homestead, I observed a single bird fly around several trees as he was making his way across the neighborhood. He went to the left then to the right back to the left and so forth.
Why did he dodge through the trees? I began to watch and most of the birds were flying around the trees rather than over.
It occurred to this highly stimulated brain that the darn birds could have flown over the trees and in a straight line saving time and energy.
Then I thought, why would they need to save time or energy. Also it came to mind that flying around the trees instead of over may offer some protection from the Hawks in the neighborhood.
Well, that is all the nature I can stand for the day.

May nature be kind to you!

Chapter 4 Time Travel Understood 11.05.15

Welcome back to my understanding and my questioning of, “Time Movement”.
Allow me to again state, “Time travel” is not possible, but we will pretend that it is possible, in order to create this conjecture.
Let us consider the possibility of a person going back in time to meet himself.
Let me provide a brief description of the fellow. He was about 5 foot 9, rather plain looking, with the exception of his flaming red hair, and was a loaner. Let’s call this person, “Freddy”. He was not able to maintain a long term friendship with anyone, even as a child he was not liked by other kids. Although he was not abused as a child, living in orphanages did not help his self-esteem.
Did I note, that he enjoyed abusing and even killing any small animal he could get his hands on?
Freddy worked as a night maintenance person in a California state ran scientific laboratory. This is where the time movement machine was conceived and eventually built. To define maintenance worker, he was a janitor.
Being one of several janitors on the Campus, Freddy had access to many of the laboratories, one of which had the time machine in it.
The scientists had made many test movements going back in time from fifteen minutes up to two days. They had sent various animals back and forth with what seemed to be no ill effects.
Their plan was to send one of the physicists back in time next Monday December 2nd. That is the Monday following Thanksgiving, a four day holiday.  They all agreed that the long holiday weekend would provide a needed rest period before their first human time movement experiment.
Understanding all that, there is one other small thing that might be of interest. As a twenty seven year old adult, Freddy has murdered 3 people over a two year period of time, and now he wants to go back in time.
Freddy wants to convince himself to not commit the murders, allowing himself to live a normal life free of the worry that the police may come knocking at his door. With that reason in mind, he has decided to attempt to go back and meet himself.

The time machine is a capsule, with many wires and devices inside and outside. Although it was a very technical unit, Freddy had overheard one of the physicists say, “it is simple to operate, just enter the date and time that you want to go back to, the unit does the rest. To return to present time one would enter the word return and the computer will do the rest”.
Wednesday evening, the day before Thanksgiving, Freddy had cleaned all the rooms and was finished with his nights work. He proceeded to the time clock and punched out, knowing if his time card indicated he was still working, someone would come looking for him.
Freddy quickly and quietly returned to the lab after punching out and entered the time machine. He turned on the computer and after a couple minutes all was ready. The computer prompted him to enter a date and time.
He had given this some thought and he decided to go back in time to three days before he had committed the first murder. He believed he could convince himself to not commit the murders but he thought it might take some time to do this. He planned to return within two or three days, in order to keep the scientists from knowing what he had done.
He entered the date and time, then pushed the enter button on the computer and everything instantly went black, and just as quick everything was light again.
Had it worked?
Had he and the time machine disintegrated and reintegrated that quickly?
Was he in the past?
Freddy climbed out of the machine and looked around. Everything seemed the same. He was still in the lab. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. The phones date and time being controlled by the cell provider should indicate the correct date and time.
The phone date and time were resetting. Freddy was in fact back in time two years and eighteen days.
Now he would need to go to his old apartment and confront himself. Freddy carefully left the building trying not to be seen by any of the night security people.
He rode the bus to a stop close to the apartment and then walked the last three blocks. Freddy climbed up the flight of stairs and walked to his door.
Freddy two was in his apartment playing a video game alone, as he has done every evening for a couple years. Freddy had spent many hours playing video games that allowed him, in a virtual reality setting, to satisfy his need to kill monsters and people.
Freddy one knocked on the door but Freddy two would not open the door, and he said he was going to call the police if he didn’t leave! Freddy one was not worried because he knew Freddy two didn’t have a phone. Freddy two had no friends, so who would he talk to. Freddy one tried everything he could think of to get Freddy two to open the door, but to no avail.
Knowing his routines, he decided to leave. He would wait until 8:00 pm which is the time that Freddy two would leave the apartment and walk to the corner quick shop where he would purchase two hot dogs that have been cooking way to long, a bag of BBQ chips and a grape soda.
Freddy one waited in the shadows, just outside the quick shop, for Freddy two to arrive for his evening meal. As soon as Freddy two was inside, Freddy one followed him in. The lady at the cash register was astonished to see an additional red haired person who was identical to Freddy, enter the quick shop. She said out loud, “Twins?”
That comment caused Freddy two to turn from the soda machine, he was surprised to see someone who looked exactly like himself, standing at the front door.
Freddy two said, “Who the heck are you”?     Freddy one said, “I am your brother” knowing that he would not believe he was from the future.     Freddy two said, “I don’t have a brother”!     Freddy one said, “Look at me, I look exactly like you, I am your Twin brother”.
The woman at the cash register decided something was wrong, and she reached under the counter and pulled out a hand gun. Pointing the gun at Freddy one, she told them both, “Get out!
Freddy one, said to the cashier, “We don’t want any trouble, just want my brother”.  Freddy two was in total shock. He could not believe that someone who looked like him was there.
Freddy one walked over to Freddy two and grabbed his arm. Freddy two jerked his arm away. The store employee said, “This is my last warning to you, Get Out!” They both walked out with their hands raised as Freddy two asked the store clerk, who was still pointing the gun at them, to call the police.
As the door shut behind them, the store clerk thought, “call the police, I don’t think so. The police would think I was crazy if I told them, there was twins in here and one of them wanted me to call the police. She also thought, the police might know she had a gun and she would end up in jail.

There was a slight struggle in the quick shop parking lot as Freddy two attempted to get away from Freddy one. Freddy one said, “Just listen to me for 5 minutes and then if you want me to leave I will”. Still unsure of what was happening with this look alike, Freddy two agreed to listen for 5 minutes.
Freddy one decided to stick with the twin brother lie, as it would be easier to believe than, “I am you, from the future”!  Freddy one made up the story that they were split up at birth and put in different foster homes. This seemed to make some sense to Freddy two, after all he was in many foster homes.
Freddy two decided that Freddy one wasn’t going to hurt him, so they walked and talked for a while, eventually returning to the apartment.
Back at the apartment, Freddy one was trying to decide how to tell Freddy two that he was from the future and not his twin. What could he say to convince Freddy two that he was from the future?  Freddy one started talking about his childhood and his later life, telling Freddy two, things that only Freddy two should have known.
Freddy one could see that Freddy two was beginning to question how he knew so much about his private past. Then, Freddy one said, “I am not your twin brother I have come back from the future to help you”. Freddy two is now visibly upset, not believing anyone could travel from the future to the past.
Freddy one said, “Get your driver’s license”. Both men compared their license information, it was the same. Freddy two still being skeptical said, if we are the same, our finger prints would be the same. Each Freddy put ink on their thumb and then put their thumb print on a piece of paper side by side. Anyone could see, the thumb prints were identical.
It took an hour or so to get Freddy two believing that Freddy one, was himself, and from the future.
That night, as they sat in front of the TV, the topic of discussion was all about what had taken place in the future?  Freddy two was interested in the killings and whether the Law had found any evidence that he was a murderer. Freddy one was attempting to convince Freddy two that he should not kill anyone.
Much of the discussion then centered on not murdering anyone so they could live fairly normal lives in the future. Freddy two not yet having killed anyone other than on the video games asked, “What did it feel like when I killed the first person”?
There was smiles from Freddy one as he told of feeling such a rush of power that came over him, as he slowly cut into the living body of the victim.
The screams due to the pain that he was inflicting, made him feel euphoric.
There was nothing that could compare”, he said!
Having the power to, and then slowly taking the life of another, in his words, “must be what it would feel like to be in heaven”!
Both of these creatures (so called people) were now stimulated by talking about those euphoric feelings, and they (being of the same mind) wanted to enjoy a slow and painful butchery of some victim.

Fixed income! 11.03.15

For those of you who have a job and are not on a fixed income, you should be happy!
This story is about two seniors who are on a fixed income and wanted to purchase a new vehicle. You see the old vehicle had over 100,000 miles and needed some improvements if it were to be kept.
This fellow began looking for a new pickup, but everywhere he went they priced the vehicles too high for this poor person, on a fixed income.
The fellow had all but given up on getting a vehicle, when he decided to look on the Chevrolet web site. He requested a quote on a truck, but when it came via email, it was still too much for this person receiving social security, to pay. With tears in his eyes, he decided it wasn’t meant for him to get a new vehicle.
The sales person from the Chevy dealer ship called and asked what he could do to put this senior citizen in a new truck. The kind and gentle sales person, asked very nicely, if the older gentlemen could just come buy and look at the vehicle.
Believing it would do no good, but not wanting to disappoint the nice sales person, the senior drove his old pickup to the dealership. The sales person and the senior walked to the back of the lot where they kept the cheap vehicles, more or less hidden from view.
The older man liked the vehicle but knew he could not afford to purchase it. They went back to the office where the nice sales person presented the senior with a price that was getting closer to something affordable.
The sales person noted that this was the last day for sales for this month and if they were to sell 3 more vehicles they would get their bonus. He indicated they would do most anything to sell a vehicle.
What would it take to put you in this vehicle, asked the nice sales person? The senior thought for a minute, then explained what he needed in the way of price and how much he would need for his trade-in, to be able to purchase the truck. This wonderfully nice sales person left the room for a few minutes then returned and met all the seniors’ requests.
The old senior had a good credit rating which seemed to make the nice sales person happy.
The deal was made and this old senior now has a
You may have guessed that the senior is me.
We could not afford a vehicle of color so we got a white and black truck.

We could not afford a truck with the word Texas on it, ours had Colorado on the side.
We could not afford a full sized truck like those people not on a fixed income, ours is smaller!
We could not afford a power back window, ours must be opened by hand!
And maybe worst of all, there is a sticker on the door that indicates it was made and inspected in Missouri!
The Ford Homestead would like to send a big Thank You to everyone who sent us donations toward the purchase of the vehicle!
“&#$@%”, in an effort to be transparent, no one sent any donations, the “Thank You” is retracted!

May your day be filled, with nice sales people!

Chapter 3 Time travel understood 110215

If you could send someone into the past, their interaction, in any way, would change the future to some degree. Those changes, which would be viewed as positive changes for some, would produce equally negative change for others (for all actions, there is an opposite and equal reaction) (for all positive interaction, there is an opposite and equal negative interaction).
If you could travel into the future, you would know of events that have not yet happened in your present day. Knowing of those events, you would (willingly or unwillingly) change things in present time, which would change the events that should have happened in the future. So the future you traveled to, wasn’t the future as it should have been, instead it would be the altered future that you have affected.
Below we have the, “What will be, will be, effect theory”!
Some would say; traveling into the past or future, would cause some degree of event change, and that is the way it was meant to be, thus time travel, either way, is just a natural part of past and future.

            Let us consider the following:
Someone, a total stranger, comes to your house this evening. He knocks on your door and says, “I am a relative of yours from the future, I have traveled back in time to help you.
This person explains how they are related to you. He then says, “I want to inform you of something that is going to happen in the near future. If you listen to me, you will live another 20 years, and you will acquire much wealth.
Would you believe the stranger, who came to your door saying he is a relative of yours, was from the future, or a con man? You would probably tell them in no uncertain terms that you believe he is crazy, leave or I will call the police!
I don’t think it would be easy to get people to believe you are from the future, unless you were to come back and meet yourself.

That brings us to the next consideration.
A man whom we will call Sam is forty years old and is married to a pretty lady whose name is Perl. Now Perl is thirty, ten years younger than Sam. Sam goes back in time ten years and he is all happy about meeting himself ten years younger.
Let’s review the cast, now that we have gone back in time 10 years.
There is Sam at 40 years old, and Sam who is 30 years old, and Perl who is 20 years old. In this author’s all-knowing opinion, the two Sam’s would initially be happy to see each other.
The younger Sam would be interested in seeing what he would look and act like in ten years. He would also be interested in learning all he could from the older Sam and the future.
The older Sam would want to tell the younger Sam all he could. The older Sam would be treated somewhat like a father figure when he was talking with himself.
Perl of the past, does she now have two husbands, one forty years old and one thirty? What happens if the older Sam decides to stay in the past?
The older Sam has the same identifications as the younger Sam. Finger prints are the same, blood type everything is the same even the SSN.
Could the older Sam stay in the past with the younger Perl, and have a wife half his age, while the younger Sam goes to the future in place of the older Sam?
In the future, the younger Sam who is thirty, would be the same age as Perl. Would Perl be happy with the younger version of Sam?

Now do I have you thinking?
Yes there will be more.
