July 15, 2026

Good morning to you we hope your day is starting off well.

Yesterday’s events; the day started off cloudy and there was even some Fog in the area, so I decided to start pulling weeds. I took a photo of one area where I would be attempting to remove weeds from the Jasmin bed, but I decided to not post it as it was only interesting to me and not to you. Now that I think of it all my post are interesting to me alone.

I went through the Jasmin bed removing small trees that the squirrels had planted, you know acorns that the squirrels hide in the ground and never come back to get. I have commented before that the weeds are mostly ST. Augustine grass that has gotten into the flower beds. Some of the grass that I removed was from 3 to 5 feet in length and I will post a photo of one small weed.

About 1.5 hours of work and I was allowed to have a shower and then rest. A 92-year-old man should not need to be pulling weeds, and I should not need to either.

After my ole body was rested, I then sat out on the front porch with a cup of homemade coffee and watched the nice rain. This rain was what I call a Missouri rain, as it was steady, not too hard and it did not seem to have an ending. Two days of rain and we had ¾ inch of rain.

After my daily reading of the bible, I ordered a book for this year’s bible study.

Supper was chicken salad for the two of us which I was allowed to go and pick up, and it was good.

Big plans for today; I need to go to the store for some groceries. Wow that will be a tough day’s work. I guess I should stop for now and wish you a blessed day and encourage us all to stay safe in all we do.
