July 11, 2026

Good morning from the Fords to you, we hope your day is starting as well as possible.

Our big plans for today it to get our yard man Alex, also known as our grandson, to come over and mow the yards.

Yesterday was a normal do very little day, we did leave the homestead and went into Waco as my favorite wife wanted to go to a store and purchase some items. Now we have the handicap license plate on the Fords new Chevy, but they do not help when everyone of the handicap parking spaces were taken. Yep, we had to park in a regular spot and walk a longer way to get to the door of the store. Inside my favorite wife did her shopping while I sat on a chair outside the store and watch people as they came and went in the mall.

Leaving that store we headed for home, but my favorite wife wanted to stop at HEB and see if we could get some Brockley Salad. Well, we stopped and we did find the salad along with a couple other items that we either needed or wanted.

Leaving there we again started for home but decided to stop at the drug store and pick up a prescription that was ready.

Finally, we were heading for home but we decide to stop and get a couple to-go Ice Teas from the Chicken place, and then we went home.

At home I did not get the cigar and puff on it, I did sit on the Ford’s ole recliner and rested from all that activity, until it was time to go and sit outside. When we ventured outside a good friend came over and sat with us. It is nice to have some one stop and visit, we can have discussions that are not limited to drones, birds, planes flying over, the fact that there was little traffic on the street and our aches and pains, although I should note, all those topics were in our discussions.

I wanted to comment on the way the word “importance“ is often pronounce by so-called news people on the TV, but if you haven’t noticed it then it is not an interesting subject.

Well, I need to stop and get started. We hope you have a blessed day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

Donnie the Ford
