                Good morning to you

Yesterday was an unusual day for us here at the Ford homestead, more on that subject when we get to the topic of lunchtime.

The day started out well, I got up at the normal time, I made a cup of homemade coffee and worked on the posting. I completed the posting prior to my favorite wife getting out of bed. After she had her breakfast, I took it easy on the ole recliner until time to go get Alex, our yard man.

Alex arrived here at the homestead, and he started on the front yard while I picked up things from the back yard. I removed the Poopa-Loopa (aka dog droppings) and some small sticks and then rolled up the hose, so at that time the yard was ready for Alex to mow. While Alex was mowing, I went inside and did my daily bible reading.

A friend dropped by and was visiting with my favorite wife while all the yard work was occurring.

Alex finished the work out back and then he and I washed the dog Tres. Now with all the work completed I asked Alex if he was going to lunch with us as usual. Alex said he needed to go home and would not be eating with us today. Now that is the first time, he has opted to skip having lunch after mowing so that made the day an unusual and odd day.

We dropped Alex off at his home and went into town for our lunch. On the way home we stopped at one of those Dollar stores where we purchased a couple items.

Back at home I rested for a while and then headed out to the front porch with the cigar in hand where I puffed on it for a while. When I had finished my playing with the cigar, my favorite wife and Tres came out and sat on the porch with me. It wasn’t too long before we received some rain, we received almost ¼ inch.

Later when we were back inside, I was allowed to bake a pizza for our supper, and we also had some Brockley salad. Food eaten I then was allowed to clean up the kitchen and wash the dishes. Then I sat around doing nothing…

Today: big plan would be lunch at the cracker store.

I will stop for now and hope we all have a blessed day, as we stay safe in all we do.
