Good morning again, our day seems to be starting off good and the rain has stopped for now.
Yesterday: was pretty much a normal do-little day. I didn’t leave the house until the cleaning lady had done her work and left then I did go to the store for a couple items. I couldn’t get one of the items that my favorite wife wanted so I went to a second store, and they didn’t have it either. They recommended an item that was basically the same as she wanted so I purchased it.
My sister in Missouri wanted to know if we were ok, she had seen the flooding on the TV. I suggested she should have read the blog, and she would have known we were ok. Our son Patrick also called from Auston to see if we were ok.
I did learn that our friend who lives on the corner of Texas and Lindenwood had water get into their house during the storms. The ditch that is located behind our house goes downhill to their house and the ditch turns behind their house. Well, the ditch was overflowing and the water got onto their floor.
Speaking of water, I did turn the lawn sprinkler system off as I assume 5 inches of rain might be enough water for the yard and plants.
We did not sit outside yesterday even though the weather was good.
Big plans for today: I did take Alex to school for ROTC, and I will pick him up later. I have already vacuumed the floors, and I need to empty the kitty litter box. There is nothing else that I can think of doing. We hope you have a good day and stay safe in all you do.
