Yesterday was not a typical Sunday. We did go to the cracker store my favorite wife had lunch and I had breakfast; food was good service slow as we were told there were few staff working. We did have enough points to get the price of one drink removed from the bill.
Back at home and after a short rest I decided to mow the back yard. My knee was hurting but the work needed to be done. I removed the tarp from the riding mower and brought it to the front of the ole shed where I checked the oil, added gas and checked the air pressure on the tires. If the tire pressures are correct the mower mows more evenly which makes the yard look better. Mowing while on the riding mower does not require any work from my right knee. The grass was so deep that I did go over some places multiple times trying to Mulch up the clippings. I did not do any trimming as that would have meant I would have to be on my feet, and my knee would not have liked that. The yard does look a whole lot better with the grass cut and some of the grass was 6 to 8 inches tall.
I also took the Ford's old Chevy truck and cleaned everything out of it all of my possessions. It is our intent to get rid of the pickup truck, so I was taking everything that I did not want to go with the pickup truck, out of the pickup truck, and you wouldn't believe how much stuff I found. One of the things that was in the pickup truck and has been there for several years was a film cartridge.
Inside The film cartridge was a $20 bill and $5 in quarters total $25. I had went to the star coffee place several years ago, ordered my coffee got up to the drive through window and did not have my billfold or any money with me. At that point I told myself I will keep some money in the pickup just in case I forget my billfold again. I then took a $20 bill put in the old film cartridge and put a bunch of quarters in there and it's been there for several years just waiting never being used.
Well, I got everything cleaned out, threw some stuff away that was not needed, and have some stuff that I don't know what I'm going to do with yet, but I'll find a place I guess.
During all that work my favorite wife was sitting outside trying to enjoy the weather. The people next door have a new gas-powered scooter, not the type that can be licensed but more of a scooter you would ride off road. Well, they were riding it up and down the street all afternoon. I would say it had our attention more than the birds that we usually watch.
Later the TV was explaining everything that was happening. It was similar to providing info for a blind person who was listening to the TV. I could not get it stopped so I turned it off and do not plan to watch it until we get back to normal use.
Today’s events, I need to go to the store and get a few items after I drop Alex off at school, we did not have any ice cream last night and that was disappointing. We also need some other items. The cleaning lady is scheduled to come to our house today.
