March 6, 2026

Good morning to all, we have not yet received any of the predicted rain here at the homestead.

Yesterday; I did go to the dealer where we purchased the Ford's new Chevy and I asked where our check was. Without a lot of explanation, they owe us $97.45. They checked in the office and said it would be ready today. Leaving the dealership I did get a couple sandwiches and took them home for our lunch.

We sat outside for a while yesterday afternoon and the neighborhood was not only quiet, but it also seemed dead. There was no traffic and no usual sounds. I was watching some birds flying as a group thinking how the birds that fly in groups seem to be doing everything at the same time. It is as if they are connected to one brain and they all turn at the same time. There isn't one leader, it is as if they are all of the same mind.

We decided to go out for supper, and the supper was good. When we returned home the neighbor boy was in our driveway on his electric bike. He came to us when we pulled into the drive and asked if we would be sitting outside and we said we would. He likes to slide the back wheel of his bike locking up his brakes on our driveway, and he wanted to use our mower, photo to follow.

Today, I plan to mail the check to the IRS, and I hope to go into Waco and get our check from the dealer. I will stop at our bank and cash the check from the dealer and while I am there, I will give them a bag of change that my favorite wife has and they will give me paper money for the change.

I guess I should stop for now and either take a shower or take a nap. We hope you have a good day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

Don the Ford
May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow.
