March 17, 2026

We are having another good cold morning. I like the heated seats in the Fords new Chevy on these cold days.

Let us see if anything occurred yesterday: I was able to get Alex to school on time and in a safe mode. Prior to picking him up I did get myself a cup of coffee at the star coffee shop. Back at home I took it easy before I started my morning vacuuming the floors and other housework.

Yesterday I did receive a check from the car dealer for the excess amount that we had paid back when we bought the new car. Later that morning I ventured out and went to the bank and cashed the check and after that I went to the chicken place and got us some chicken for lunch which was pretty good.

Speaking of food, our son David brought us some homemade vegetable soup for supper last night. Wow, homemade is very good!

I did take the time to clean all the leaves out of the garage that the wind had been blowing in for the last few days and then I moved the plumerias back into the garage because of the freezing weather last night. I will wait a day or so and then move them back outside hopefully spring has sprung. That one big pot weighs close to 70 pounds.

I had gone into the kitchen to get a drink of water, and I looked out the window and saw something that I had not expected to see. I believe I had noted in a previous post that I had an antenna that was about to fall and I needed to have somebody to get it down. Well, part of it came down by itself and luckily it did not hit anything other than the ground. I do have a photo of the antenna on the ground and the last part that is still up on there.

I was concerned that it would fall on our pot hound Tres or hit the roof, but it did not. There were several little dead branches downed in the front yard due to the wind yesterday. I will wait for a warm day to remove these twigs.

My favorite wife worked on some easter decorations yesterday which kept her busy most of last night.

I did go to Bible study last night and as always it was interesting, but it was cold going and cold coming home. It's hard to believe that Monday had a temperature was 92° which was a record high for that day, and then last night it was down to 27degrees freezing wow.

Today's events: we will attempt to stay warm as we transport Alex to school. We have no other big plans for the day.

I will attempt to stop for now, we hope you have a good day and that everyone stays safe in all we do.

Don the Ford

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow.
