March 19, 2026

Good morning from the Ole People here at the Fords homestead.

Yesterday I did go to the Star coffee place for a cup and when I got to the window and handed them my ole Gold card the computer screen went blank, he said he would go to the other computer and evidently it had failed as he came back and returned my Gold card and gave me the cup of coffee free. I did get Alex to school safely and on time then  arriving home from dropping Alex off at school I crawled into my ole recliner with my free coffee in hand, I took a nap.

When I woke up, we decided to go to the George restaurant for breakfast. We arrived 4 minutes before they stopped serving breakfast. We were able to get breakfast, but the service was bad and the food was good except for the toast which was as hard as a cracker, and we had no butter or jelly. They did not offer to refill the coffee cup. They were having a meeting with the servers in the next room which made service non-existent. Go early if you are having breakfast.

Back home I again took it easy for a while and then I decided to go outside and attempted to remove weeds and cleaned debris from three flower beds. I did use the knee pads, and they worked and I now have the trash can more than half full of debris, and I was tired.

I then watered the plants in the hot house and the black berry beds. While at the #3 berry bed I noticed one plant which is a thornless plant, it has about 5 blooms. I did not see any blooms on any of the other plants.

I noticed how dry the ground is, so I activated the lawn sprinkler system. All the outside work done I did my housework but not my bible study homework.

My favorite wife and I sat outside yesterday afternoon and enjoyed the nice weather and quiet neighborhood. We had no friends to drop by, so our conversations were few.

I cooked supper for my favorite wife using the microwave, and a TV dinner. I had a sandwich and soup.

Well, I need to stop and get started so I will wish you a good day and pray that we all stay safe in all we do.

Don the Ford

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow.
