March 22, 2026

Hello and good morning to one and all.

Let's see if we did anything yesterday: I did go get Alex and we went to the star coffee place for a drink and then headed back to the homestead where we laid out our plan for the day. The first plan was to mow the backyard and in preparation for that I removed the dog Poopa-Loopa from the backyard.

Alex got the mower ready and mowed the backyard as I did a couple other things such as reviewing the flowers in the hot house to see what we were going to do with them. I did sweep and blow the leaves and pollen off the back porch trying to make it look a little better.

Mowing trimming and cleaning the back porch completed, we headed out to the hot house to remove the potted plants. Several of the plants were taken to locations in the front yard or other places that they normally set, while several of them stayed out in the back near the greenhouse as they did not look good and I wanted them to perk up before I place them where people could see them.

We removed the battery from the riding mower as it is dead and each time we use the mower, Alex used a jumper to start it, so I'm going to buy a new battery for the riding mower.

The big job of the day was to wash the dog. My favorite wife has been complaining about the way the dog smells for some time. The day was warm enough for the washing, and it took two people to successfully wash that big ole dog. Tres does smell much better now.

We had decided to leave the front yard un-mowed until next week when we will mow it but we will raise the mower up about 1 inch allowing the grass to be taller which I believe makes the yard look better. Taller grass may hold more water in the ground from the sprinkler system.

All the work completed we did go into Waco and have some sandwiches for lunch. Lunch finished and we drove Alex back to his home and then we returned to our home where I took a short nap. Rest period was completed, my favorite wife and I went outside and sat for an hour, it was warm 91 degrees. The neighborhood was quiet, there wasn't much going on, one person was mowing in his yard everybody else seemed to be taking it easy.

Well, you see what we did yesterday and our plan for today is, well, I have no idea what we might do today. I guess I should stop for now and get ready to do nothing. We hope you have a good day and stay safe in all you do.

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow.
