We are looking at another good warm morning here in Texas.

We have very little to report from yesterday's events, I did move the plumerias out of the garage and place them near the swing. I did not go to the shed to get the two-wheeler to move the heavy pots but I did have a way to move them without me carrying them. You will see in the photo that I have an ole office chair that I normally use when we sit outside, and it now has an additional use.

I did not do any weed removal from the flower beds yesterday as this ole body needed to rest from the previous day's work.

We sat outside for a couple hours yesterday, and we observed many jets flying over. We estimate that we saw about 25 jets flying to the south and only one flying to the north. There were a few small airplanes flying around too.

I did get to talk with the neighbors who live across the street as they were both out working in the yard. I guess everyone is starting to do their yard work.

I did have some time to work on my bible study yesterday and it seemed to go well. I am not a good student, but I do try.

I guess that is all for now, please have a good day and stay safe in all you do.

Thank the Lord for his blessings even if everything is not perfect.

March 19, 2026

Good morning from the Ole People here at the Fords homestead.

Yesterday I did go to the Star coffee place for a cup and when I got to the window and handed them my ole Gold card the computer screen went blank, he said he would go to the other computer and evidently it had failed as he came back and returned my Gold card and gave me the cup of coffee free. I did get Alex to school safely and on time then  arriving home from dropping Alex off at school I crawled into my ole recliner with my free coffee in hand, I took a nap.

When I woke up, we decided to go to the George restaurant for breakfast. We arrived 4 minutes before they stopped serving breakfast. We were able to get breakfast, but the service was bad and the food was good except for the toast which was as hard as a cracker, and we had no butter or jelly. They did not offer to refill the coffee cup. They were having a meeting with the servers in the next room which made service non-existent. Go early if you are having breakfast.

Back home I again took it easy for a while and then I decided to go outside and attempted to remove weeds and cleaned debris from three flower beds. I did use the knee pads, and they worked and I now have the trash can more than half full of debris, and I was tired.

I then watered the plants in the hot house and the black berry beds. While at the #3 berry bed I noticed one plant which is a thornless plant, it has about 5 blooms. I did not see any blooms on any of the other plants.

I noticed how dry the ground is, so I activated the lawn sprinkler system. All the outside work done I did my housework but not my bible study homework.

My favorite wife and I sat outside yesterday afternoon and enjoyed the nice weather and quiet neighborhood. We had no friends to drop by, so our conversations were few.

I cooked supper for my favorite wife using the microwave, and a TV dinner. I had a sandwich and soup.

Well, I need to stop and get started so I will wish you a good day and pray that we all stay safe in all we do.

Good almost warm morning. Well, it isn't 30 degrees this morning, so it is almost warm.

I have a photo or two from yesterday and one was interesting to me but maybe not to you. This is of a spot on our wall that I observed this morning as I was sitting there in my old recliner. I at first thought my wife had stuck something on the wall I thought why would she do that. I got up and started to go over there and the spot disappeared. I then realized that the spot was not something stuck on the wall but was a light being reflected to the wall.

Allow me to show you the photo please do not look at the fact that the wall has been made of paneling that was placed there many years in the past.

The spot is like a rainbow in color and was reflected from the sunlight yesterday morning. The sun was shining on the front door and the peephole in the door that is there to see who is at the door without opening the door was projecting the light to the wall about 30 feet from the door. I had never seen anything like that before.

I Have a second photo which was taken as I was going to get a cup of coffee at the star coffee place before picking Alex up and taking him to school. The photo is of an early morning sunrise off in the distance. It was much prettier in real life than it is in the photo but I wanted to share it with you anyway.

I picked up sticks from the front yard yesterday afternoon. I also ventured to the back 40 to see if there were any sticks there that needed to be removed and I also removed some Poopa-Loopa. Yes, I did take the fallen antenna and carry it out to the fence as it is about 20 feet long. I attached it to the fence which gets it out of my way until I decide what I want to do with it.

I need to change the oil in the mower, and I need to get a battery for it. Wow, more work for an ole person who doesn't want to work. My favorite wife is doing more on her own now so I guess I can start doing more things outside, "darn it".

Well, I will attempt to stop for now, please have a good day and be safe in all you do. Let us all be nice to someone today and possibly someone will be nice to us. Let's all pray for each other!

March 17, 2026

We are having another good cold morning. I like the heated seats in the Fords new Chevy on these cold days.

Let us see if anything occurred yesterday: I was able to get Alex to school on time and in a safe mode. Prior to picking him up I did get myself a cup of coffee at the star coffee shop. Back at home I took it easy before I started my morning vacuuming the floors and other housework.

Yesterday I did receive a check from the car dealer for the excess amount that we had paid back when we bought the new car. Later that morning I ventured out and went to the bank and cashed the check and after that I went to the chicken place and got us some chicken for lunch which was pretty good.

Speaking of food, our son David brought us some homemade vegetable soup for supper last night. Wow, homemade is very good!

I did take the time to clean all the leaves out of the garage that the wind had been blowing in for the last few days and then I moved the plumerias back into the garage because of the freezing weather last night. I will wait a day or so and then move them back outside hopefully spring has sprung. That one big pot weighs close to 70 pounds.

I had gone into the kitchen to get a drink of water, and I looked out the window and saw something that I had not expected to see. I believe I had noted in a previous post that I had an antenna that was about to fall and I needed to have somebody to get it down. Well, part of it came down by itself and luckily it did not hit anything other than the ground. I do have a photo of the antenna on the ground and the last part that is still up on there.

I was concerned that it would fall on our pot hound Tres or hit the roof, but it did not. There were several little dead branches downed in the front yard due to the wind yesterday. I will wait for a warm day to remove these twigs.

My favorite wife worked on some easter decorations yesterday which kept her busy most of last night.

I did go to Bible study last night and as always it was interesting, but it was cold going and cold coming home. It's hard to believe that Monday had a temperature was 92° which was a record high for that day, and then last night it was down to 27degrees freezing wow.

Today's events: we will attempt to stay warm as we transport Alex to school. We have no other big plans for the day.

I will attempt to stop for now, we hope you have a good day and that everyone stays safe in all we do.

March 16, 2026

Good morning on this cold and windy day.

Yesterday's workload and rest time: I started off by removing the sheets from the bed as I was preparing to wash the clothes. I took the clothes and bed sheets to the washing machine. Yes, I divide them out by whites and then colored things.

The washing started so I decided to go and get a cup of real coffee. Sometimes it feels good just to get out and drive around for a while. Back at home I was allowed to vacuum the floors. Floors finished I decided to read some more from my story, and since it was so windy, I stayed inside to read. I read a couple chapters, and I was very sleepy so I took a short nap.

Later in the afternoon we sat outside. the wind was blowing like crazy. We have a ham radio antenna that needs to be removed, it has an ole antenna that is flopping around in the wind and it is about 35 feet high. No way would I try to climb that thing, so I need to find someone to remove the ole antenna and tower.

This morning, I took Alex to school, and I got him there safely and it is still cold but not too windy. The cold weather that is coming tonight might affect some flowers that have bloomed.

The red rose has bloomed and there are white and pink roses that have bloomed. We are not sure if we will get down to a real freeze or not tonight, so I will need to bring the plants into the garage this afternoon.

I will stop for now, we hope everyone has a good and safe day, please be nice to someone and they will be nice to you.

March 15, 2026

I think it may be a good morning as the sun isn't up yet and I haven't been outside to see what the weather is like. Oddly enough, today it is supposed to be in the 80s and yet tonight it is said to be in the 30s, with winds up to 50 mph late this afternoon. I ask you, is that some odd weather or not?

Yesterday's events recalled: as I remember it, we did not leave the homestead all day, I did sit on the front porch and read from my story, I am about halfway through it now. The main character is learning a lot…

Every time I read this story, I am impressed that I wrote the story.

We sat outside and a friend came over and sat with us. It seemed to me that most of the conversations were about doctors and medicines or how quiet the neighborhood was.

As I understand it, we have no plans for today, ole people don't get to do a lot, and if they did something it would cost them money. Speaking of money, we had some points from the credit card company, and I decided to see how we could use them. I learned that we could cash them in for money, so we are supposed to get a check in the mail for the points we had.

Pray for guidance from the lord for Isreal and the United States in all they do.

Well, I guess I will attempt to stop for now, we hope you have a good day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

March 14, 2026

It seems to be a good morning as we get ready for a very windy weekend with some up and down weather.

It happened this way yesterday: I went to get Alex our yard man and bring him to the homestead where he was able to mow and trim the yards. I should say he did a good job. Alex also spread the fire ant killer over the front and back yards. Yes, I did compensate him for the work performed. We drove in to Waco and had lunch at the sandwich shop, and we purchased some sandwiches for My favorite wife.

Back at home I did rest up and did very little. As I was doing nothing on this Friday 13th, I received an unexpected call saying, "we have your vehicle and if you want it back bring us money".

Yes, I was surprised at receiving that call. Now the call was from the autobody shop, the call was not expected, they did have my vehicle ready for pickup, and they did want their payment.

I called my son David and asked if he could take me to get the vehicle and he did. I did pay them the deductible, and I brought the Fords new Chevy home. They did a good job repairing the vehicle, photos before and after to follow.

We were happy to have the Fords new Chevy back at home as we can take my favorite wife anywhere she wants to go. We sneaked out last night for supper at the cracker store.

Today's activities? I have no real plans, maybe it will be a rest all day with no activity day. I will stop for now and wish you a good day, we hope everyone has a safe day and that we are all nice to others.

Good Friday 13th morning to you. We hope everyone has a good day.

Yesterday in review: I understand that you are not interested in what I did or did not do yesterday, so if I understand why do I post it? Habit is probably the reason for most of what I do.

I did work on my bible study homework, I did get the string trimmer and trim the grass in the front yard, we did sit outside yesterday afternoon for a while. Wow, a great day of non-activity.

Today's activities are supposed to include having our yard man Alex, mow the yards and spread the fire ant killer.

Now you know what I know which isn't very much. We hope you have an interesting day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

March 12, 2026

                Good cool morning to all.

Yesterday I did very little work, but I removed the Poopa-Loopa from the back 40. I did also do some bible study work. I also started reading a story that I had written several years ago. I do not think anyone other than me has ever read the story and when I read it, I am impressed that I had written it.

I did get a text from the body shop saying they had started the repair on our vehicle. They told me when I dropped the Fords new Chevy off that they would not accept cash as payment. I thought that cash was "legal tender for all debts public and private".

Different topic: in the olden days my father would watch wrestling on the TV, and he seemed to enjoy it. Last night I decided to watch some wrestling since there wasn't anything else I wanted to watch. It took only a few minutes for me to see that this so-called wrestling was fake. They appeared to have each move planned. I personally will not waste my time watching.

Comment from me about the Bible.

In the bible we see in John 1:1 "In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God." Then John 1:2 goes on to say, "He was in the beginning with God". In that passage many believe "Word" is referring to Jesus.

Many see this as indicating that God and Jesus were two individuals and were together at the beginning of the earth when all things were put on or in the earth. There can be different views of that statement. Consider this possible view, God is a spirit, Jesus is a human placed on the earth by God with Gods spirit in him. If that is true, the spirit within Jesus was a part of God during the creation.

Allow me to comment. "In the beginning was the word". Now in reviewing this portion of the statement, one may understand the term "Word" as meaning data, and if that was correct the following statement could also be correct.

"In the beginning was the data, and the data was with God, and the data was God."

Anyone who believes in God will believe God has all knowledge and can do all things.   Is it possible, God may be a spirit and not have a physical form.

There are comments in the bible where humans hear from God but do not see him and that may be due to him being a spirit. Humans have seen the angels that God has sent, which may be to provide a physical being to help a human to pay more attention.

Humans have physical bodies and I believe we have a spirit inside us.

As you can see, I think about things from the Bible and have questions.

Well, I should stop for now and let you get started on your day. Please stay safe in all you do and be nice to someone.

It is a good rainy good morning.

Last night as I was laying in bed I was considering something that I had written in the past. The subject was a comment from the bible, and I have looked at it differently than others do. I hope to do some review from the bible today to see if I can learn more about the subject. I might enlighten the reading public on the subject at a later time.

I did take the Fords new Chevy to the repair shop yesterday and it will take some time to get it repaired.

Now that the Fords new Chevy is gone, I will not be able to take my Favorite wife out for lunch or supper. Wow, if I go to a restaurant I will need to eat alone.

This is a very short post, we hope if you live in this area you have a very wet day as the rain is appreciated, Have a good day and be nice to others as you stay safe in all you do.

                Good morning!

Yesterday reviewed: there is not a lot to review, we went to the doctor for my favorite wife's annual physical and that went well. We had lunch in Waco, returned home and we sat outside for a while enjoying the quiet neighborhood.

I am still adjusting to the time change; I did get a little more sleep last night so I may be adjusting to the change.

I need to take the Fords new Chevy to the body shop this morning. We are not sure how long it will take, which depends on if they can repair or do they need to replace the tailgate.

I will need to go to the grocery store today, why do ole people need to eat so much.

I have two photos of some of the vegetation in the neighborhood.

We hope you are having a good morning, all is good here at the Ford Homestead.

Let's take a look at yesterday: my favorite wife was able to talk me into going to the cracker store for breakfast and it was good. The rest of the day was kind of a do nothing day for me, I removed some small twigs from the front yard, and we did sit outside for a while and I observed about 7 drones flying over making deliveries. I did comment several times about the time change.

Speaking of the time change, I think it has me messed up as I have no ambition this morning. I woke up earlier than usual and I did lay there in bed awake thinking about things. It is 10:30 as I am just starting on this unexciting note.

Back to yesterday, we received our supper last night from David. While they were cooking their supper, they made a little more and he and Alex brough the food over to us. That is very nice as I did not need to attempt to microwave anything for my favorite wife. The food was good.

Today we need to go to the doctor it is my favorite wife's annual checkup.

The yards need to be mowed and trimmed, and we might get Alex over here one day this week to do the yard work.

I have a couple of photos for your review. While outside I noticed some things in the sky. The first is "X marks the spot". I am not sure what the second means.

I guess I should stop for now and get ready to take my favorite wife to the doctor. We hope you have a good day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

Good morning to you, and some of those others too.

We had a good day yesterday, even though we did not go to lunch with Dave and family. It was time to leave the house and head for the restaurant when the rain seemed to increase. The wind was blowing hard and the rain was pouring so it was decided that we would stay dry and that meant we would not go to lunch. Our lunch was leftovers from the night before. Wow, poor ole people had leftovers, they did not have to go hungry.

Early in the afternoon Dave and the family came to our house and they brough Alex's birthday cake with them. We may not have had a fresh lunch, but we did have a very good birthday cake. I have a couple of photos of the birthday young man.

We see Alex lighting the candles on his cake and later he was required to blow them out. He is a good-looking young man.

We got to sit around and talk about many topics, and we enjoyed having visitation and new conversations.

Today I have no real plans, I do not know if my favorite wife will force me to take her out for lunch today. The time change has occurred, and it seems to get my attention all too often. Every time I look at the clock, I think it is an hour earlier than yesterday.

Ok, I will stop for now and we hope you have a good day and that we all stay safe in all we do.

March 7, 2026

Good morning to you and that other person too. It has not started raining even though they have talked about rain for about a week now.

Yesterday: I did not need to take Alex to school so I did not go to get a real cup of coffee, so I stayed at home and I tried to work on my blog. I was having one of those days, you know, when everything seemed to be a little off our not working at all. I did finally get the post done but I did  not do a good job of it.

Later in the morning I decided to go to the post office and mail the IRS check. Before heading to the Post Office, I did go to the Star coffee place for a cup of real coffee. I took the letter (aka Check) to the post office and sent it in a manner that I will know it safely arrived at the IRS. I have been wondering why I had to pay so much money this year as we had basically the same income as last year. I took the time yesterday to review both this years and last year's Tax forms. I learned that for some reason they withheld about $3,000 less in taxes from our income this year when compared to last year. Now I know why I had to pay more tax this year.

I did go to the vehicle dealership to get my check, but they did not have it so I wasted my time driving there. They apologized and I told them I did not want to come back, and they will send it to me.

I did stop at the bank on the way home as I had a zip lock bag my favorite wife had given me with some change in it. They put the change in a machine that separates it and counts it. There was a little over $30 in the bag.

At home my favorite wife and I sat outside, and the neighbor boy came over on his scooter. He likes to slide the back tire on our driveway. I have a photo of his scooter.

It was a nice afternoon, but our only visitor was the 6-year-old boy and his scooter from next door. We always enjoy visits from friends and it gives My favorite wife someone to talk with other than me.

Today: we are supposed to have lunch with Alex and family to celebrate his BD. We are hoping it will not rain at lunchtime so we can get to the restaurant without getting soaked.

The yards need to be mowed but the rain and birthday party will keep us occupied.

Well, I guess I should stop for now, we hope you have a good day and that we will stay safe in all we do.

The time change is this weekend, don't forget.

March 6, 2026

Good morning to all, we have not yet received any of the predicted rain here at the homestead.

Yesterday; I did go to the dealer where we purchased the Ford's new Chevy and I asked where our check was. Without a lot of explanation, they owe us $97.45. They checked in the office and said it would be ready today. Leaving the dealership I did get a couple sandwiches and took them home for our lunch.

We sat outside for a while yesterday afternoon and the neighborhood was not only quiet, but it also seemed dead. There was no traffic and no usual sounds. I was watching some birds flying as a group thinking how the birds that fly in groups seem to be doing everything at the same time. It is as if they are connected to one brain and they all turn at the same time. There isn't one leader, it is as if they are all of the same mind.

We decided to go out for supper, and the supper was good. When we returned home the neighbor boy was in our driveway on his electric bike. He came to us when we pulled into the drive and asked if we would be sitting outside and we said we would. He likes to slide the back wheel of his bike locking up his brakes on our driveway, and he wanted to use our mower, photo to follow.

Today, I plan to mail the check to the IRS, and I hope to go into Waco and get our check from the dealer. I will stop at our bank and cash the check from the dealer and while I am there, I will give them a bag of change that my favorite wife has and they will give me paper money for the change.

I guess I should stop for now and either take a shower or take a nap. We hope you have a good day and that we all stay safe in all we do.
