We hope your Sunday is starting off well and we wish you a good morning along with a nice day.
Yesterday morning I took the trailer with the logs on it to the dump. There were not many vehicles ahead of me and I thought I would get done very fast. I was wrong. It seemed as if the people working there unloading the trailers were working very slowly.
After unloading the trailer, I then went to pick up Alex and bring him to our homestead for work. We did not get a cup of coffee due to the trailer being connected to the Ford's ole Chevy.
I told Alex that we need to trim several bushes around the house and if there is time, we will pull wire weeds. I showed Alex what needed to be done and helped him get started. I went into the homestead and did some reading then later I went to the north end of the house and started trimming the bushes. Alex joined me there and when it was all done the trailer was loaded with small limbs from the bushes. Photo of the little branches that were trimmed.
After the work was completed, we went into Waco and saw the protest against the king. The protest did not keep us from lunch, and it was good. We went to the cheap store where we purchased some coffee and peppermints. After all that excitement we took Alex home.
When I arrived home it was nap time. I was able to get a nice nap before re-entering the workload. After the body rebuilding nap, I went outside and for happy time, but happy time was not ready. I then ventured to the front yard where I cut down some plants the grew against the tree in the Jasmin bed. That completed I then acquired the string trimmer from the shed and removed some of the Jasmin vines from the walkway.
I retrieved the leaf blower and cleaned off the sidewalk and the other walkway. I then, being a good neighbor, cleaned half of the neighbor's driveway that had a bunch of crushed acorns. Tools put away, I then distributed mothballs to flowerpots in an effort to keep the squirrels out of them.
I was allowed to transport via wagon several heavy empty flowerpots out to the back 40. I was then allowed to clean the area where the flowerpots had been with the leaf blower. I also allowed myself to go to the street and sweep up the leaves along the curb.
Finally, a happy time for me had come. I was able to drag my ole body to a chair on the driveway near where my favorite wife was sitting and I sat down with drink in hand.
Today's plans: lunch and do nothing.
