We have a nice start to this good morning. We hope your day will be really nice and stay safe in all we do on this Labor Day.
Speaking Of Labor Day, I sneaked out of the house this morning and went over to the Star coffee place and got a cup of coffee. To the young man at the window I said, "you're supposed to be off today this is Labor Day", and he said, "I'm getting paid extra to be here".
Let's review yesterday: my favorite wife and I did go out to lunch where we were surprised when some friends asked us to sit with them. We had some very lively conversations, and they paid for the food so yes, our lunch was free.
After eating lunch my wife and I started for home and that's when we decided that we would go to the cheap store just to see if there was anything we needed. We found nothing at the cheap store and then went home and rested.
Yes, I did take a short nap when I woke up, I thought, "you got to do something", so I went out on the front porch and set. As I was sitting there, I noticed our neighbor was on his knees in his front yard pulling weeds. It came to me that since the sun was behind the clouds and it was a little cooler today maybe I should go into the backyard and trim some blackberries. I did go out back and not only did I trim the blackberries but in the number one BlackBerry bed I pulled the weeds out of it, yes that was a bunch of work.
Once I finished pulling the weeds I was hot and sweaty. My shirt was wet from sweat and actually it was drizzling rain a couple times while I was out there so maybe some of it was due to the rain.
My wife and I sat on the front porch for a while after I had worked my ole body and I tried to cool down, we did nothing but watch the neighborhood, which was very quiet. After a while I decided maybe I ought to get on into the house to get a shower and see what I can find to eat for supper.
Supper completed I headed for the ole bed and attempted to watch some TV.
Today's plans: it is Labor Day, and I will attempt to not labor all day.
We hope you have a good day and that everyone stays safe in all we do.
