It is a good morning even though the sun is not up yet.
Yesterday's events: Yesterday was a holiday so I drove over to the star coffee place for a cup of coffee. Back at home I did very little since it was a holiday I wasn't supposed to work. I got a couple naps during the day. Sitting there in a chair with nothing to do, nothing to watch on TV, I decided to go out in the front yard and pick up debris.
I don't think I informed you that we received a little over 1.5 inches of rain and there was no water standing in the yard. The rain was appreciated.
I noticed that the squirrels have been eating or trying to eat our pecans. Under the pecan tree and on the driveway, I picked up at least 20 pecans still in the shell still in the green cover that the squirrels had dropped when they were trying to eat them. I have come to a decision that I will cut down the small pecan tree since we did not get any pecans from it last year, and it appears we're not going to get any this year. I will cut it down I will not allow the squirrels to have pecans and us not get any.
My favorite wife and I sat outside for a while yesterday afternoon, it wasn't as hot as usual. We had the big fan set up, but it wasn't running since we had a light breeze. The neighborhood was very quiet I assumed due to the holiday; nobody was driving by our house. My favorite wife suggested that I go over to the chicken place and get us some chicken for supper which I did, and it was good.
Today's events: as usual school is back in session, I will attempt to get Alex to school safely and on time I will get myself a cup of coffee and then come back to the house and get myself ready to go to the skin doctor to get the stitches removed. I don't really have any other big plans than that, so today might be a boring do-nothing day. I do need to attempt to cut that sheet of clear plastic and see if I can install it on the hot house. There are a couple flowers that need to be repotted but that would be a lot of work.
Well, I guess I will stop for now. We hope you have a good day and that we all stay safe in all we do.
