December 31, 2024

I would say this is a good morning after the record high temp we had yesterday, it was 87 degrees, are we sure it is winter?

My favorite wife and I sat outside for quite a while yesterday afternoon, heck I even moved into the shade as it was very hot with the sun shining on me. This morning it is 45 degrees outside and they say it will only get up to the 60s today.

Big plans for today will be to stay at home and do as little as possible. I could address the leaves in the front yard today but…

I observed our neighbor in his front yard working with his leaves yesterday. He had a huge pile of leaves raked up and I assume he was putting them in bags. I noticed this morning as I was returning from getting a breakfast burrito (more on that later) that there were still leaves in several piles on the neighbor’s yard. He had told me that he was going to wait until all the leaves had fallen from his tree before he started working the leaves, he did not want to rake the leaves twice, I guess he changed his mind as the tree still has some leaves in it.

Now to the breakfast burrito, I did venture forth from the Ford’s warm homestead this morning to get a couple burritos. My favorite wife was still in bed when I left the homestead but she was awake when I returned. The burrito was excellent, the hot sauce not only burned my mouth, it caused my nose to run, it is good hot sauce.

Short story about leaves in our back 40: this story began yesterday when I decided to get out of the Ford’s ole recliner and go out to the back 40 in an attempt to patch the back tire on the riding mower. The last time we use the mower we found the tire had a tack in it, and when I pulled the tack out the air came out, so I had put the tack back in and Alex was able to use the mower to mow the back 40. I had purchased a kit to plug the hole in the tire but I had never plugged a tire before, so I was learning.

Process: remove the tack, use the device to make the hole larger and rough, put the plugging material (sticky rubber) on to the second device, use the second device to push the sticky rubber into the hole.

I do not know if I got it in right or not, but I did air the tire up and I rode around in the back 40 for a while. While I was riding around, I had the mower blade turning, (blowing air out on to the yard) and I was able to make a few piles of leaves. Next time we use the mower we will know if the patch worked or not. The kit came with a razor blade to cut the sticky rubber plug material, and I did cut my finger. I didn’t cry this time but I did put a band aid on the finger. If the weather stays nice today, I might work on getting the leaves out of the front flower beds today.

I do need to go to the bank this morning, I think they close at noon today since this is New Years Eve. Well, I guess I will stop for now, we hope you have a good day and please stay safe in all you do, and don’t celebrate too much

Celebrate carefully,

Happy New year!

December 30, 2024

It is another good morning here at the Ford’s homestead. We are a couple days away from the coming change when I will need to enter 2025 instead of 2024 on the dates for these posting.

Let’s see if anything happened yesterday; We did go to lunch and the Pot Roast was excellent. The food was free as we had a gift card to the Cracker store, so we did not need to pay anything except the tip. We had the same server that we had last week and the service was very good.

Back at home, I did almost nothing for a while, oh I did take a nap. Once I had awoke from my period of sleep, I proceeded out into the back 40 with the intent to water the flowers in the hot house. When I opened the door, I found it way too hot for me inside the hot house so I left the door open and decided to pick up the sticks that had fallen from the tree during the rain and wind we have had.

There seemed to be sticks everywhere and I do mean a lot of them. There are a couple dead limbs in the tree and they drop these small dead limbs when the wind blows. I had the Ford’s ole red wagon full of limbs, and I do mean full. Oh, I should note, the Ford’s ole red wagon is so old that it isn’t red anymore, heck it isn’t even a pale pink.

Once the hot house had a chance to cool down, I went in and water the plants. Both of the Christmas cactuses are blooming with pretty red blooms. There are so many plants in the house that it is difficult to do the watering.

While I was removing the sticks I noticed that I need to also remove the Poopa-Loopa from the back 40. There was a lot of the Poopa-Loopa and I mean a lot. I had gone through one area and was heading for a different area when I thought, no matter how well you do at finding the Poopa-Loopa, there is always some that I will miss, and as soon as I had thought that there was a pile that I had missed.

My favorite wife and I sat outside yesterday afternoon from about 2:30 to 4:00pm enjoying the wonderful weather. It was 70 degrees; the sun was shining and there was no wind blowing. We were waiting for a friend to drop by as my favorite wife had some cookies and candy that she had made for them. The friend got here about 4:00pm and I received a call from my sister in Missouri at the same time.

I had a good conversation with my sister and my favorite wife had a good conversation with our friend.

The kids are out of school this week so I will not be delivering or picking them up from school. wow, nothing to do again today. We are supposed to hit 82 degrees this afternoon so I assume we will be sitting outside for a while. The leaves in the yard are still damp so I will not be attempting to remove any of them. We will turn off the outside decorations on the New Years Day.

Wow, another do-nothing day. I will attempt to stop for now we hope you all have a good day and that everyone stays safe in all we do.

Almost there “2025”.

December 29, 2024

We are getting close to the end, and I guess the end always comes, but we can be happy about the end since it provides the beginning.  Oh, I want to wish you a good morning too.

Events yesterday; they were very few but I will attempt to enlighten the reading public. We did get more rain yesterday which was appreciated, I think the yard and plants are happy. Thinking about plants, I guess I need to check the plants in the hot house and possibly water them today.

Back to yesterday we did go in to Waco for our lunch sandwich and they no longer have two sandwiches for $7.00, the sandwiches are now $7.00 each. We went ahead and ordered the sandwiches and they forgot to put the cheese on them, but they were ok. Wow no cheese and they cost twice as much.

Leaving there we headed to the cheap store where we purchased a battery powered can opener. When we arrived at home my wife put batteries in the can opener and it don’t work. We have tossed the receipt away, so we don’t know if they will exchange it for one that at works.

We did sit outside for a while yesterday afternoon and the weather was nice, but we did not have any friends drop by. I do have a bunch of leaves in the yard again and when it dries up I might attempt to remove them.

No plans for today, we may go to the cracker store for lunch, but I haven’t checked with my favorite wife yet.

Well, I guess that is it for now, have a good day, be nice to at least one person and be safe in all you do.

December 28, 2024

Hay, it is a rainy good morning here in Hewitt Texas, and we are still thankful for the rain. The rain so far has been lite but it is making things wet and that is good.

Yesterday events are as usual, uninteresting, but I will still attempt to describe what I remember, if I remember anything. My favorite wife went in to Waco with her normal Friday shopping while, I head for a store here in Hewitt to purchase a couple filters for the furnace. I use to get them from the company I use to work for but I no longer have that ability. I purchased the filters and when I returned to the Ford’s old Chevy I thought, I should head into Waco to the booze store and use my gift card for a bottle of adult beverage, and that is when I discovered that I did not have my phone with me. I do consider having a cell phone with you as a safety device, and since my favorite wife is out and about, I want to be able to answer any calls from her.

Since I was still in Hewitt, only a couple miles from home, I decided to go to the house and get the phone. I arrived at the house and it was 11:00am, heck that is my normal lunch time. I decided to stay at home and have lunch, before heading into Waco to go to the booze store. There are plenty leftovers and they were good.

My belly full, I crawled into the Ford’s ole Chevy and headed into Waco. I thought I knew where the booze store was, it isn’t the booze store I usually use, and when I arrived, I found I was wrong. I then used the cell phone to get the address for the Booze store and I told the Ford’s ole Chevy GPS to take me there. I learned it was on the other side of Waco, about 4 miles away from where I was.

The traffic was heavy, that means there was a lot of vehicles on the streets attempting to slow me down. I finally made it to the store and it is a big store, but there was only one vehicle parked there. I parked and when I entered the store there was one person checking out. It didn’t take too long to find the adult beverage I wanted and I then went to the check out. It is nice to have a gift card and not need to pay with my own money. As I was leaving the store I found a penny near the door inside the building and I picked it up. It was heads up and heads up has always been good luck for my favorite wife and I. I proceed to the Ford’s ole Chevy and place the purchased item in the back seat, then I thought, I found the penny inside the store, so it was the stores penny, and I took it back inside the store and gave it to a lady who worked there. She asked what it was, and I said a penny, I found it on the floor, it was heads up so it means good luck, and I gave it to her, then I left. Do you think she gave me a look? If I had found it outside the store I would have kept it.

Back at home I did get some needed rest, and then my favorite wife and I went outside to enjoy the warm afternoon. A friend came over and we all enjoyed the afternoon until the time the sun went down, then we headed inside.

Well, that is if for now, we hope your day is getting off to a good start and that we all stay safe in all we do.

Heads up penny.

December 27, 2024

Good morning to everyone, we absolutely hope your day is getting started off in a positive way. Wow, I used the word absolutely in the above sentence, and I began to think about the word. The word can mean, "without exception", yes, there are other similar definitions of the word. I have said the word a couple times, and I find that it seems to be made up of three parts. First are abs, which means "abdominal muscles", then there is solute, which in military terms means, "to present arms, or show respect" (even though it is spelled wrong), then finally there is ly, which if spelled correctly is a person's name "Lee".

Absolutely = abdominal muscles, present arms, and person name, how do they come up with these words?

Yesterday's major event: I was setting at the Ford's ole desk when I looked up at the monitor of one of the security cameras, I was surprised at what I saw. It was so unusual to see something like that on a monitor, I had to get up and go to the front door to see it in real life.

Wow, a Hewitt fire truck with all its lights on in front of the neighbor's house, the firemen must have been inside as I did not see any firemen, and it was raining at that time like pouring it out of a boot. My favorite wife decided to come and stand at the door with me as I was trying to be nosy, I mean trying to understand what was going on.

After a few minutes the ambulance arrived, and they took a stretcher into the house. After a little while they came out of the house with someone on the stretcher, but we could not see who it was, as they had the face of the person covered due to the rain that was coming down.

The fire truck shut off its lights and left the scene, but the ambulance took several minutes before it departed. As the ambulance departed the scene the lady who lived in the house came out and got in her vehicle and left behind the ambulance. We now assume the person on the stretcher was her husband.

Later we learned that the husband had not been feeling well for a couple days and this morning he went out to the mailbox and upon returning to the house he was dizzy, so his wife said he was going to the hospital. We learned that they would keep him over night, and we do not know what the reason is for the illness.

Different subject: I have a one-of-a-kind photo; it is of the Don where he seems to be enjoying a nap after eating leftovers yesterday from the Christmas Day meal.

What, a great photo like that and all you can see is the tree behind the senior person?

Other non-necessary information: I was given a card as a Christmas present to a booze shop in Waco. I guess I should go into the booze shop and buy something with the card so that I might have something to ingest on New Years Eve, you know, something to help and ole senior person sleep. 😊

Let's go to a different message; on Christmas day when we had friends over, we were all sitting at the table enjoying some leftover food from the noon meal, when I noticed that Tres was keeping an eye on things. You might need to look past the paper bowls to see his head laying on the table. Do you think he was listening to the discussion or looking for something to eat?

Yesterday afternoon we went to supper at the George's restaurant, the food was good, and the service was very good. The server we had always comes to our table and talks for a while. The meal over we came back to the Ford's house, but we did not sit outside.

Well, I guess that is all for now, I have zero plans for the day, so we will see what happens. We want to wish you a good day and please stay safe in all you do.

Naps be good.

December 26, 2024

Well, Christmas is over now we are looking forward to the new year. We had family and friends here at the Homestead on Christmas day and all went well including the food, it was very good. Speaking of good, we want to wish you all a good morning.

I don’t have a lot to discuss this morning and I have nothing planned for the day. I assume we will go out for supper as this is date night, aka Thursday.

I do have a video that I will attempt to post today, it is of an item I received as a Christmas present. This is a solar powered little leg lamp from Christmas story, no it does not light up but the lamp shade shakes back and forth as long as there is light getting to the solar panel.

We are expecting rain again today and we hope to get some as the last chance of rain missed us. They are predicting storms for the first part of the day and we hope we do not get them.

Well, I don’t have anything exciting to present so I will wish you a good day and ask that you stay safe in all you do.

Too many Holidays?

December 25, 2024

Good morning and merry Christmas to everyone!

As we were sitting outside yesterday afternoon a neighbor lady came over and sit with us. As we were sitting there our sun Patrick and his wife Karla arrived, we were not expecting them that early. We got some extra chairs out and we were all sitting outside. Just a few minutes later Dave, Claire, Gabi, Alex and Brice, Gabi’s boyfriend arrived. We got some more chairs out and the neighbor lady headed for home. We only sat outside for a while then we all headed into the house.

My favorite wife was working in the kitchen to get everything warmed up and ready to eat, (tamales, cheese, etc.) while the rest of us were enjoying some lively conversations. There were snacks set out and they were being devoured prior to the meal. The food was good and then we gathered in the front room to open the gifts. We here at the Ford’s Homestead open Christmas presents on Christmas eve.

I got way too much in the way of gifts, I got several gift cards, some shirts, one of which I have on now, and a bag of peppermints and other items.

The TV movie Christmas story is on all day, and as you can see my shirt has the image of the famous lamp in the story. You are right, the ole senior person in the shirt is handsome.

We will have lunch here with everyone today and my wife is trying to get all the food prepared.

Well, I will stop for now and wish you all a Merry Christmas. Please stay safe all day and consider the original meaning of Christmas, the birth of Christ.

Merry Christmas

December 24, 2024

Good morning to all, it is Christmas eve, and for me it doesn’t seem like it is Christmas eve. My favorite wife and I were sitting outside yesterday afternoon as the weather was warm and the neighborhood was quiet, when I said, “It doesn’t seem like Christmas eve to me”. There we were sitting outside in the warm weather, no jackets on, while we were enjoying some restful time together, and it came to me, it doesn’t seem like it is Christmas eve. It is warm not cool or cold like Christmas time should be, I haven’t wrapped a single present this year, there are very few presents under the tree, it doesn’t seem like it is Christmas eve. Yes, we have decorations up inside and outside of the house but that doesn’t make it seem like Christmas eve. I did make that statement several times as we sat outside.

Even that photo doesn't help me feel as if it is Christmas eve.

Different subject: I did get the yard man Alex over to our house yesterday and he removed the damaged 50-foot-long string of lights and then replace them. It took about 45 minutes to complete the entire job and then we headed to the chicken restaurant to get him some lunch.

Our families are supposed to be here this afternoon about the time the weather is supposed to be bad. Having the family around will make it seem more like Christmas eve.

The prognosticators are predicting rain and storms around 6:00 this evening, so driving will be more difficult if the weather is bad. They say Christmas day will be warm and dry, then the day after more rain.

I did work on bible study homework yesterday, and I also went outside and picked up more of the acorns. They are difficult to see with the leaves on the ground and yes, we are getting more leaves.

Well, I don’t have anything else to speak of, so I will say have a good Christmas eve and try to be safe too.

December 23, 2024

We are almost there, are you ready? Well even if you are not ready, I want to wish you a good morning.

We went out to lunch Sunday and it was good, we had pot roast. The meat was tender and everything was good, service was also very good. Eating lunch reminded me of something that Alex had pointed out Saturday when we were having lunch at the sandwich store. He said, “the Ford curse is here”, and he pointed at my shirt which had some food on it. Now the Ford curse seems to be a real thing, any time a Ford is eating, someone will get food on their clothes, and you don’t have the be a Ford to be cursed, just eating with the Fords. Oh, I should also say, the curse got Alex also, he got food on his shirt too.

Sunday afternoon: my favorite wife and I did sit outside for a while as the weather was nice. The neighbors were mowing their yards, basically removing the leaves from the yards, and we assume, attempting to keep up with the Fords since we had our yard cleared the day before. I observed the lady sweeping the drive way with a push broom and as she was sweeping, I could see leaves blowing onto the drive. It seemed as if the weather was against her, and I don’t know if she did not see the leaves or did not care.

Speaking of leaves, they are falling in our yard but not as bad as before, I may be able to manage them without the yard man Alex.

We have a problem with a string of Christmas lights. These lights are on the ground around the flower beds. The light strand is about 50 feet long and a part about 10 feet long is not working. I found a light was missing, not just the bulb but the socket the bulb is in. We may have damaged the strand when we were using the string trimmer. If it isn’t raining today (Monday) I may try to get Alex over here to remove and replace the strand of lights. He installed them, so he knows how to do it, and I have an extra string of lights in the shed, if I can find them and if it doesn’t rain today. We will wait and see if it is going to rain and if not, we may attempt a reinstall.

Different topic: the leaves are still falling and the neighbor across the street has said they were going to have their red oak tree cut down. Now this is a very good-looking tree, but they say it doesn’t provide any shade for the house, just the driveway, and it drops the leaves in the winter along with the acorns. They said, “the leaves and acorns are too much work”, so they will have the tree removed. It is a really good-looking tree, but if they don’t want it, then it is theirs and they can have it removed.

    • Different topic;           It was the night before Christmas,
          • when all through the house,
          • every creature was stirring, even the mouse,
          • the stockings were not hung by the chimney with care,
          • they were on our feet keeping our feet warm

Wow, where did that come from. Well school is out and I don’t need to get the grand kids this morning so I again have nothing to do. I just looked at one of the security monitors and there are a bunch of leaves on the front porch and walk way, more work for an ole person.

I will stop for now and say we hope you have a good day while we all stay safe in all we do.

December 22, 2024

It is Sunday morning, and we wish a good morning to one and all. We have major plans for today, and they are, to have lunch at the Cracker store, do my daily bible reading, and then do nothing.

What did we do yesterday; I picked Alex up about 9:00am and we drove to the star coffee place for a cup, and then we headed to the Ford’s homestead ready to work.

Alex and I started working about 9:30 and we worked together to get the leaves removed from the front yard, well Alex did most of the work and I helped some. I have a photo with part of the leaves from the front yard removed.

As you can see, Alex started at the curb and worked his way inward. I have another photo of the Yard Man Alex actually working.

Alex is emptying the grass catcher into the trash can which had a trash bag inside it. The work went on for about 2.5 hours before we were finished, and I have another photo of the finished product.

If one was observant, they would notice that we had also removed most of the leaves from the street. All in all, Alex did a good job so we took him to lunch with us. After lunch we went to the cheap store where his mother and father were standing in line checking out. Alex decided to ride home with them.

                The End.

My favorite wife and I went through the cheap store, and we did not find anything that we needed or wanted, so we headed for home. Later in the afternoon we drove back into Waco and went to a friend’s house where my favorite wife took some candy and banana bread along with a gift. We made it back home safe and sound and then we did sit outside for about 30 minutes, then the chill came on us and we went back into the homestead where it was warm.

Change of topics; this morning when Tres and I went outside the first thing I noticed was the leaves that had fallen onto the yard overnight. The leaves are few at this time and there are still more to come, but not as many as before. The back 40 has some leaves in it but it never gets as bad as the front yard.

I guess I should stop for now, we hope you have a very nice Sunday and be safe in all you do.

December 21, 2024

The first day of winter and it is 29 degrees here in Hewitt, even though winter is here we still wish you a good morning. When Tres and I went out front this morning we saw frost on all the homes roofs. This is also the shortest day of the year.

Different topic; the other morning as Tres and I went out front Tres noticed something flying in the sky and he asked me what that was. I looked and I saw something with lights on it flashing as it flew over the area. I know it was a plane but it could have easily been seen as a drone. Now this plane flew in a straight line, and it did not stop and set still in the sky.

Topic change; I dropped the kids off at school and the traffic was so bad that if I took my normal route to leave the school parking lot, I would not have been able to leave for probably 15 minutes or more. I knew of a different way to exit the parking area and it is not for public use but I took it any way and I was able to get out of the traffic in about one minute.

Let’s look at todays’ plans; we plan to get our yard man Alex over here today to do some leaf removal. I am sure that we will stop at the Star coffee place for a cup before we start this extreme work load. The leaves are dry and there are plenty of them. We will work as a team, Alex doing most of the work and me supervising. If we are able to complete the work successfully, we will then head into Waco for a sandwich. We usually stop at the cheap store on the way back home just to see if there is anything we need. As you can see, nothing out of the normal for our Saturday.

We hope you are ready for this coming Wednesday; I think we are almost ready. I guess I will stop for now, we hope you have a nice and safe day while you are wrapping that last present.

Winter is here.

December 20, 2024

Good cold morning to you and the rest of the non-readers, we hope your day is going well. it is still dark as I start this note, and it is 40 degrees outside. I have learned from the local TV weather person that winter starts tomorrow.

What did the Don do yesterday; whatever he did has caused his back to be hurting today. After my normal duties of moving the grand kids to and from school safely, I did work out in the yard a little. I believe I had indicated that I would water the plants in the hot house, and I did do that. I have a photo of a Christmas cactus that has started blooming in the hot house.

Since I was in the back 40, I did observe that there were several small limbs all around the yard, caused by the heavy winds a couple days ago. Yes, I did remove said limbs from the back 40.

I then decided to see what I could do to the leaves in the front yard prior to our yard man Alex coming over Saturday and helping remove the leaves. I raked a few leaves from around the swing where we sit in the afternoon and move them to the front yard. I did get most of the leaves that were in the street, out of the street and into the front yard. While I was doing that the neighbor from across the street told me that we would have winds up to 30 mph Friday, so the leaves I have piled up may get spread out again.

All that work completed; we did sit outside for a while before time to go to supper. Food was good and service was also good even though there were a lot of people there.

I need to get out of here and go get the grandkids so I will wish you a happy Friday and hope that we all stay safe in all we do today.

December 19, 2024

Good morning from me to you, and you should say good morning to someone too.

The traffic taking the grandkids to and from school yesterday was crazy. I have never seen that many vehicles going to and from the school. I can only assume it has something to do with the final tests and half days at school. We were almost late getting to school yesterday morning due to the traffic.

After school yesterday I did take the kids to the chicken restaurant for lunch. Alex told me he made a 95 on one of his finals yesterday. 😊

Alex and I have been talking about removing some of the leaves from the yard.

As we can see in the photo, there are several leaves on the front yard. If it stays dry, we will likely do some removal this Saturday. The wind has been blowing, and the leaves are falling, there are still more leaves to fall.

It wasn't too warm outside yesterday and it is windy, so we were able to sit outside as long as the sun was shining on us.

Today what to do; since it is cold again here in Hewitt (34 degrees) I will try to stay inside as much as possible, but I do need to water the flowerpots in the hot house. I will wait until the sun has had some time to heat the hot house and then I will go out and water. I hope to find some dead mice in the mice traps.

Today is go to the teller machine day, to get the weekly stipend, and if all goes well, we usually go out for supper on Thursday evenings.

Different topic, usually we have several Christmas presents under the Christmas tree, but we don't this year. Basically, we will have a couple presents for the grandkids, things they asked for, and then a couple dollars in cash will take the place of gifts for everyone else. I guess if they want a gift, they will take the couple dollars we give them and purchase their own gifts. Santa will need to provide their other gifts.

Ok, I will stop for now, have a good day and please be safe in all you do.

Next Wednesday!

December 18, 2024

Kind of back on a normal schedule but a little different, so is it a good morning, of course it is a good morning, we all woke up this morning, so be happy today. By the way, next week on this day (Wednesday) something will happen, are you ready?

What did we get done yesterday, will I did very little other than watch and ask questions while a plumber worked. My first job after high school was working for a plumber. Now I was not a plumber but a helper. I will say by the time that job ended I was able to do a lot of the work without supervision.

Back to the work yesterday, after dropping the kids off at school I came home and took a short nap then I did my daily bible reading, not homework for the bible study, I read from the bible which is different from the bible study reading. I decided to go to the bank and cash a check that our insurance company sent me, $25.00, then I went to the star coffee place for a cup. While I was sitting in line, I got a call from the plumber saying they would be on their way shortly. I explained that I would be there in about 20 minutes. I made it to Dave’s house before the plumber and I got the garage door open and waited outside for him to arrive.

He came up and looked at the ole heater, then went back to his truck and got a couple tools. I explained to him that the breaker was tripped but he should check the wires with his tester before he started, he agreed. He started taking things apart and draining the heater. Once the heater was emptied of water, he was able to get it out of the closet in the garage and set it on the driveway, photo to follow.

Someone brought the new heater to the house, and it was in a big box. The plumber was able to get the big box off the new heater, and he moved it into the closet where he was able to get it on the water overflow pan. The pan is there in case of a leak and it has a drain that keeps the water out of the house.

He connected the water lines to the heater and ask that I open the hot water on the kitchen sink which helps get the air out of the heater as the water fills the heater. He connected the electric lines and ask that I turn the breaker on. I said I would, but I reminded him not to touch the wires when I turned the power on. He said he would test with the voltmeter. When I returned the power was on. I got the air out of the pipes and the job was complete. I have a photo of the new heater as it was completed and heating the water.

MY wife and I did sit outside for a while yesterday afternoon as the weather was very nice. It the yard gets dry enough, we will try to remove the leaves this weekend.

Today I will take the kids to school and since they are having finals, I will pick them up at 12:30 and take them home.

Well, I guess that is it for now, we hope you have a good day and please stay safe in all you do.

Heater installed.

December 17, 2024

I will say good morning to all, even the young students who are getting ready for finals this week. We hope everyone has a good day.

As we start this day I have basically the same plan for the day as yesterday, get the kids to school safe and on time and then go to Daves house and wait on the plumber to come and put the water heater in. I was there yesterday and when no one showed up I called the office, they gave me the phone number to the person who was supposed to come and give me an estimate. I did not want an estimate I want the heater replaced. I now have another appointment today to get the heater installed, let’s see if they can do it.

My favorite wife and I did sit outside yesterday afternoon for a while enjoying the warm weather, before I got ready to go to the bible study. Molly the cat wanted to be petted so she got on the swing with me, photo to follow.

We had pizza and got to sit around with others and talk about anything and everything before the actual bible study meeting started yesterday evening. It seemed a little odd, this is the second time when our class only had 5 attend (not counting the leader) and we had very good discussions on Revelations. Now we have a 3-week period without any classes, I think I told you that yesterday.

I guess I should get going and get the kids off to school, we hope you have a very good day and stay safe in all you do.

Molly likes attention.
