April 2, 2026

Good morning and we have rain.

Yesterday's few events: I did get a cup of coffee as I was going to get Alex and take him to school. I returned home and did nothing (took a nap).

A friend came to our home and gave us 4 tomato plants. Two of the plants are normal tomatoes while the other two are special plants. I decided to go purchase some potting soil, but I needed to get my weekly stipend from the teller machine. I got more than $7.00 for my stipend this week. I also had some business inside the bank too.

At the Home store I purchased potting soil, then I started for home. On the way home I stopped and purchased a couple of unsweet teas which we enjoyed as we sat outside for a while. While we sat outside my favorite wife wanted to go for a walk down the street. We walked before I started my planting of the tomatoes. During our walk neighbors came out and talked with us.

I wanted to use the small gas-powered tiller to till up the ground where I wanted to plant the tomatoes but that was a no go. No go means it would not start. I then had to till the dirt by hand also known as a shovel and hoe.

A 92 year ole man should not be crawling around on the ground working in flower beds, and I should not be crawling around either.

I was on my knees, and I got up and down several times. I did have my knee pads on as I crawled all around. It took more than an hour to get the dirt loosened up and holes made to put the potting soil in and then planting the tomatoes. I planted two on one end of the flower bed and two on the other end.

Now we are ready for the rain that is supposed to come over the next couple of days. I did water the plants just in case it did not rain.

I should stop and wish you a good day and hope that we all stay safe in all we do, but maybe I am not yet done. I have a third photo of some rose blooms.

I have taken Alex to school, and I have a cup of real coffee here to drink. It is raining and has been raining since about 3:30 this morning.

I am stopping now, have a good day and be safe in all you do.
