June 9, 2025

Well let's see what we can talk about today. It is a good morning we got through the thunderstorms ok last night with no apparent damage, we have water standing in the backyard again and I noticed on the so-called news this morning, they showed that the Waco airport had received 3/4 of an inch of rain. I decided to go out and check my rain gauge and we have 1 ¾ inches of rain here at the Fords Homestead. I think that means I will not need to have the yard sprinklers running this week.

I have a photograph which I will post here, and as usual, photographs are worth many words, but I will explain what I want you to see in the photograph.

The original reason for this photograph was to show you my cup that I drank coffee out of, it has "Jesus & Coffee" written on the cup. Also, on the photo we have a Bible open that I was reading from, and it is on a stand which my wife had bought at a garage sale. The stand works good for reading. Behind it if you're looking at the monitor you can see the screen of the new camera that I have enlarged which shows the driveway, the street and the corner. At the right you see a Blue Cross on a piece of wood, that piece of wood is handmade to set my phone on so that my phone can be easily seen on the desk.

Sunday, we went out for lunch, and it was good. Back at home we took it easy for a while then we decided we'd better wash the pot hound Tres, so we took him out in the backyard and give him a good bath. After that was completed, we decided to harvest the blackberries and after that we decided that we would sit outside for a while and do nothing. Even though it was hot there was a breeze. As we set outside it came to me that I needed to water the flowers in the pots and I got up and went to work. Finally, I was able to sit down and rest for a while.

Today's plan is to try to stay dry. Wow, I guess that is all for now, we hope you have a good day and please stay safe in all you do.

Bible study!

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow.
