Did you make it through the first day of the year, we did, and we wish you a good morning and we hope your whole year is a happy new year.
Nothing to report from the Ford homestead, we did very little yesterday. My favorite wife went to the store and purchase some groceries and other needed items, while I stayed at home attempting to remove some of the wiring that was connected to the decorations out front. I was able to get all the decorations disconnected and some of the wires removed, this evening none of the outside Christmas decorations should come on.
I did put the leg lamp away and, in the process, I found several sweat shirts and jackets that I had forgotten that I had put away. One of the sweat shirts had 4 cents in the pocket, wow I have money to spend.
My wife and I did sit outside for a while much earlier than usual, it was nice but a little cool.
I did speak to the neighbor lady and she told me all about her husband’s condition and that he is doing better now. I told her we were keeping them in our prayers.
I don’t know when we will start to remove the outside decorations, when we start, I will need to get the cartons and totes from the shed so we can repack the items. It will take a while and now that the weather is cooler it will probably be very uncomfortable work.
We are planning on going out to work this morning for a piece of cake. They will be celebrating two staff members who are retiring. I worked with both of them and I want to wish them the best in their retirement.
I guess I will stop for now, we hope you have a good day and that we all stay safe in all we do.
New year, old people.
Senior ole person who is old enough to know better, but too young to resist, Don the Ford
May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
