November 5, 2026

It is a cool good morning here in Hewitt, fall may be coming.

I do have a photo of another mushroom that is growing in the backyard. These are not the type mushrooms that one would make mushroom soup out of. This one is 6 inches wide. Yes, I have shown photos of this type of mushroom in the past.

I did go to the store yesterday and my thought was to get some light bulbs and a couple grocery items. My original plan was to get the bulbs first as they are on one side of the very large store then come back to the grocery side and get those items. It seems as if this ole senior person forgot the plan and I grocery shopped first. I had a couple frozen items in the cart and I was heading for the checkout when I remembered I needed the light bulbs. I then had to walk across the store and find the bulbs then walk back across the store to the checkout. I did not forget how to get home, and I made it back home safely.

My favorite wife and I sat outside yesterday afternoon, and the time change is still affecting us. I often state the fact that our neighborhood is most always very quiet. That did not seem to be correct yesterday afternoon when first we went outside to sit. There were several crows in the area, and they were discussing something in a loud manner. In part they were on the street I assume eating crushed pecans that had fallen from the tree, other than that I am not sure why they were visiting our neighborhood.

Today’s big plan, we may attempt to scrub the carpet in the dining room. We may also go into Waco for a couple items at the smaller grocery store.

That is it for now, we hope and pray that you have a blessed and safe day, and we will keep you in our prayers.
