I will wish you a good morning this morning, I have been outside working this morning, well I was actually watering the flowers in pots, and the black berries, and then the flower beds along the back of the homestead. When I started watering, everything was in the shade, and most of the area was in the shade when I finished, a little before 8:00am. Wow, all my work for the day is completed. The temp was actually comfortable that early in the morning.
Now I usually water the flowers late in the afternoon when the sun is declining, so why did I not water them yesterday afternoon? Good question. I know you don’t care why I did not water yesterday, but the other readers would like to know, so, I will tell the other people, “Why the Don would be off his schedule”. He was off his normal schedule, and when removed from a normal schedule, things go haywire.
We did not sit outside yesterday afternoon (aka normal schedule). In truth, we did sit out on the front porch for a while earlier in the afternoon and we decided it was too hot. When the 5:00pm time come we just stayed inside. I wonder if anyone who may have drove by, wondered where we were. Historically we sit outside every afternoon.
I did switch the flags this morning, taking the Texas flag down and putting the American flag up. For that one person, tomorrow is the 4th of July!
Does anyone have plans for the 4th? We don’t, we will stay at home and try to have a relaxing day. Holidays for ole retired people are not the same as for the real people who have jobs. Real people have a day off, all ole retired people’s days are off.
Well, I don’t have any photos to post, I did try to get a photo this morning of a spider web that was hanging from a tree and attached to the #2 berry bed. Heck if must have been 20 feet from the limb to the berry bush, but I could not get a photo, the lighting was not good.
We hope your day is good, that you are safe in all you do, and that at least one person is nice to you.
Don the water boy.
Senior person who might be allowed to grocery shop with my wife, Don the Ford
May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
