August 29, 2024

Good morning to all, we hope your day is, or, has started well. Tres and I were out on the front yard this morning before the sun was up (6:30) and the neighborhood was very quiet, except for a sound that sounded like someone hitting a metal object with a big hammer, off in the distance. We would hear it, then it would be quiet for maybe 30 seconds and we would hear it again. I have no idea what it was but I bet the people who lived close to the sound knew what it was.

What did the Don do yesterday, probably nothing. Wait a minute, I think he did do some work in the back 40. If memory serves, he had a shovel in his hands and was trying to dig a hole for the second flower to be planted in the flower bed. As usual, his pot hound Tres was supervising the project, or was he just in the way? Review the photo and decide for yourself.

Now even though Tres was in the flower bed enjoying the cool ground on his belly, the Don was able to get the holed dug, then remove the flower from the flowerpot and plant it in the ground. We have one more to plant then the flower bed should be complete, photo to follow.

We did sit outside yesterday afternoon; the weather was warm but not too hot and there were breezes blowing. Time without the TVs and other distractions are good. We do have the cell phones but we do not waste time looking at them unless we get a call.

We have no big plans for the day, we will see what happened as the day progresses.

Well, I guess I will stop for now and get ready to get Alex to school. We hope you have a good day, be nice to at least one person, and it possible be safe in all you do.

Flower installer.

Senior ole person who hopes no one else get the virus, Don the Ford

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
