Good morning to most of you, and good afternoon to the rest of you. We here at the Fords homestead are getting better. We had a good night’s sleep last night and feel much better this morning. Our big plans for the day are to stay at home and continue recovering.
Actually, my favorite wife and I sat outside for about one hour yesterday afternoon enjoying the fresh air. Heck, getting out of the house for a while was relaxing. We are well enough that we can do anything we want to do, but we must stay quarantined for a couple more days.
We do have some very good friends. Why did I make that statement, you asked, well I will inform you. Yesterday afternoon we got a call from a friend who said, “I will be dropping something off at your door in a few minutes.” This friend dropped off food for supper. We very much appreciate the food and the fact that we have friends who would do such a nice thing.
We did have our yard man Alex over yesterday to mow the yards. Now I see that you are getting ready to ask why did we do such a thing. I will tell you why we did it, our yard needed to be mowed, and Alex wanted to mow it. Before you explode let me expand on that thought. I took the keys to the shed and the riding mower and sprayed them with alcohol, to kill any germs that were on the keys, and placed them in the garage where Alex could find them.
I could watch him on the security cameras if I wanted to see what he was doing, and I could talk to him with the cell phone. When I paid him with paper money, I sprayed the paper money with alcohol and laid it on the table in the garage. Alex’s dad brought him over end picked him up afterwords. We did not have any physical contact with Alex.
My wife comments that she is bored staying at home all the time, she did not get to go to the usual stores Friday, and we did not get to do our normal Saturday schedule, heck the cheap store may have had something that we needed.
The instructions we got from the doctor state, 5 days after you started the symptoms you can end isolation, with day “0” being the day you started the symptoms.
You must be fever free for 24 hours, then you can end the isolation.
You should where masks for 5 days after the end of isolation, any time you are around people.
My day “0” was the 22nd, my isolation should end and I could depart from the homestead on the 28th.
Well, I guess I should stop for now and start doing nothing again. We hope you all have a good day, stays safe in all you due and that includes not getting the virus.
Confined at home.
Senior ole person who is getting tired of sitting and napping, Don the Ford
May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
