June 25, 2024

It is morning again and I say good morning to you. It seems as if we here in Texas have settled into what will be a hot summer. The prediction for the coming days is temps in the high 90s, and a possible start to the 100s.

Let us see what happened yesterday; we did have the yard man over and we got the back 40 mowed and trimmed. We did not have chicken noodle soup for lunch as my favorite wife was not feeling good, and did not need to be cooking. We did get chicken from the chicken place for lunch. I was able to get the kids back home safely.

After lunch my favorite wife was still not feeling well, so we called the doctor hoping against hope to get in and see the doctor that day, but nope they had no open appointments. They suggested the emergency room. We arrived at the emergency room at 2:22pm. They did some tests and then we waited, it was almost 9 hours before we got to see the doctor, yes, we sat out in the waiting room with probably 100 other people who were continually coming and going. The doctor said all the tests looked good. He asked questions and said she might have some kind of bug making her feel bad, or maybe a urinary infection, he did not see any reason for her to stay in the hospital overnight. We drove home after 11:00pm.

Another note: since she was not feeling good yesterday, she had not eaten anything before going to the emergency room, and we were there 9 hours without food or drink. She may be hungry today.

We sat there in the waiting room watching people come and go, and there was coughing going on, so if you weren’t sick when you went in, you will probably be sick when you leave. We did see the police have one lady in handcuffs, I think they brought her in.

Today’s plan is nothing, sit around and pray that we feel good, and be thankful that the doctor did not find anything wrong.

We hope you have a good day, and not need to go to the emergency room, and as always be safe in all you do.

Don’t get sick!

Senior ole person who prays that you are healthy and happy, Don the Ford

May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
