Well, it is a good morning here at the Ford homestead, we received about ¼ inch of rain last night. I woke up about 3:00am and I thought I heard it raining. I then sprinted to the door, sprinting for ole people is a slow walk. When I open the door, it was raining, so I decided to turn the lawn sprinklers off to save some water and money.
I will need to go get Alex and take him to school in a few minutes so I will finish this a little later this morning. I think he will have his ROTC uniform on this morning, and I hope to get a photo to present to you.
As you can see the Alex has his uniform on and is looking good!
Yesterday’s adventures: My favorite wife was working inside the homestead yesterday changing some decorations around and I went out front and mowed the front yard. The last time our yard man Alex mowed the front yard I could see it was mowed shorter than I normally mow. Now I do adjust the walk behind mower to a lower setting when I use it in the back 40, and I had forgotten to raise it back up before Alex used it. My fault the grass was shorter than usual, it is back to usual now.
I was on the front porch reading from the Bible yesterday when it began to rain. We had a nice rain for about a minute or two then it stopped. I like to sit outside and read when the weather is good enough, so I don’t need a fan to stay cool. My pot hound Tres was on the porch with me, and we have a neighbor who drives by our house and the Tres feels as if he has to bark at his truck. Now another truck the same color can drive by, and Tres don’t care, but he has to bark at the neighbor’s truck.
My favorite wife and I did go out to sit on the swing and it was just a couple minutes when it started to sprinkle, so we proceed to the front porch. It rained a little and then stopped, we appreciate any decent amounts of rain, and so does the ground.
I did get Alex to school and then I took Claires glasses to her as she had left home without them. I did get to talk with a couple friends while I was there.
That is all for now, I hope you have a good day and please be safe in all you do.
Military uniform.
Senior ole person who needs a lot but only has a little, Don the Ford
May today be better than your best day, but not as good as tomorrow!
